If my individual scores were added (5+1+0+1), the total I would give today would be only a measly "7". The AVERAGE, though, would be "7" divided by 4...or 1.75 total... Customer service needs a little help for this store... Management take notice!!!
Store, in general, I give a "5"...very nice store, bright, great atmosphere (makes you want to browse), great selection, etc.
Optical shop, I give a "2"...called and their out-going phone message tells very briefly about some optometrist and new hours on Mondays... At no time does their short out-going tell ALL their optical hours or optometrist hours!!! This info needs to be available (posted in-store as well as on out-going phone message). It would be even greater if such info were available on the store home page, too.
**The gal answering the phone, Sat. am, 6/15...I give a "1"... I called once, the call was answered with "hi" or "hello" as if answering a private home phone or something...instead of a company phone. Then, the female waited as if it was my job to start the conversation (I didn't, and wasn't even sure I'd gotten JCPenney on the other end of the line!) She finally said "jcpenney..." I asked if she knew the hours for the optical shop. No. She offered to transfer me to optical's voicemail. That done, I didn't learn anything, either.
**The gal answered the phone, Sat am, 6/15...a second time in just a couple minutes...once again answered my call with "hi" or "hello"!!! This is VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE and if it were me...I would NOT have her working a position that handles answering the phone for my company! I give her a "zero" for answering a call this way repeatedly!
**Whomever is responsible for answering the phones for a company SHOULD also have the various departmental hours (optical, salon, etc). They should be able to readily give out that information to callers! For this not being the case, I give the Springfield JCPenney store a "1".
So my "best" total I can squeeze out today is a mere 2... read more
