All customers deserve to shop an entire store. She had no idea what I was looking for or whom I was buying for. This behavior is unacceptable and would strongly urge this store to change their attitude towards women of all sizes.

I wanted to get my mother's 1969 wedding dress made into a getting-ready-robe and veil. If any material was leftover I was hoping for bouquet wrap and a special something to gift to my mom. Wendy created a fabulous robe, beautiful veil with the lace from her dress, wrap for my flowers and a precious handkerchief for my mom by using a square of her gown and then cut-out a piece of lace and sewed it on one side. Seeing my mother hold this walking down the aisle is priceless. Our wedding took place in another city so all of my vendors were remote. I really wanted to someone local to do this (shop small!). This was such a special, positive experience so I will always be grateful to Wendy - she is just so, so talented. Her daughter, Erin, is who I dealt with at the shop and Erin was the best! I cannot recommend Stitches by Wendy enough.

The difference in customer service was night and day. In jeans and a tee they would look up, maybe smile if I'm lucky, and leave me alone. It felt like wearing jeans and a tee didn't look like I had money to spend or I wasn't going to buy anything but nicer clothes meant I had money to spend in their store. Very annoying to feel such a difference based on aesthetics. Beyond that, the last time I went in, there was an extremely irritated employee. She was complaining loudly about having to be there (I'm assuming someone called in) and slamming drawers behind the counter. I always end up leaving Springfield with way more than I traveled in with when I visit Clothes Mentor! I love it. This visit, I lucked up and found that they were having a 70% off sale and was in complete awe!! The staff is always friendly, the music is great to shop and sing along to and there is always a sweet smell in the air. It's quiet, not crowded and just an overall good feel!
