Shout out to the store in general. I've been there so much over the last 2 months that a lot of the employess know my wife and myself by name. The store has great sales, great customer service, and the nicest employees. Lot's of merchandise to choose from. The manager is a very helpful person. NOT RECOMMENDED. The pictures were HORRIBLE! There were 8 adults, all over 45yo, NO kids! One needed to sit on walker, we asked to position not to see walker, the walker is in all the pictures! The people are not evenly positioned within the pictures. Some too far apart, some too forward. Glare on glasses (we even asked if we should take off our glasses). Retake is not possible, as everyone is from different parts of the country. We requested head shots, and he did all wide angle. One picture you see more floor and shoes then anything else! If you want memorable pictures is NOT the place to go! read more

I hesitated with this review because of the pandemic and JC Penny recently filing for bankruptcy. With that, the selection of sizes in the kids section was low. I'm sure it was due to school starting recently, but we couldn't find anything in our kids sizes (ages 3, 7, 9 and 10). Maybe it's a fluke, but we walked away empty handed. The store was orderly. I didn't see any staff members to ask for help but I could tell they were actively keeping the shelves organized. Hopefully after the pandemic (and the potential buyout) things will turn around. read more

I found myself in Ogden with some free time so I ran into the Penney's store. They were having a Super Duper Clearance Sale which always calls my name. Of course, I find two dresses that are the only ones in the store with no tags. I actually found someone to help me and her name was Mindy. She looked up the prices and realized they had been returned from an online order. When she told me the price of each dress it was hard to not scream out loud. Each dress was $5.85 cents. Now I don't know about you but I have never ever gotten a cute dress for this price unless I was two years old and don't remember. More importantly though was Mindy was willing to help me until I had my questions answered. The other bonus is she was the Assitant Manager of the store so she worked fast. I quit going to the Sandy Store because it was so disorganized I could never find my size and never find help. I hope Penny's survives. I hate buying clothes online. They never fit and I always return them. I also know there is no Mindy to help me. So even if I have to drive there once a month it's worth it. Check them out for off-season deals. The dresses are more Spring and Summer but they had darling swimming suits on sale too. read more

I would give it a 5 star but prices will be extremely high on an item but then the next week it will be on sale for half the price. This happened on an item I bought... it was $37 when I bought it on Tuesday then it was $19.99 when I was there on Friday. (Same week) Luckily I had noticed that and when I was checking out with some other items I asked the cashier if I could go home bring it back and repurchase for the sale price. It still had tags on it and I had my receipt. She asked if I had the receipt with me right then and I said yes. She called for a price check on the walkie talkie and it was confirmed it was $19.99. She fixed it right then and refunded me the difference without making me drive all the way home! Great customer service! Definitely will continue shopping at this location. read more

I feel like this is a fairly small JCP but it seems to have a fairly good selection of clothing. It's located near a bunch of other shopping outlets, and food places so it's pretty convenient. There's ample parking, and the store itself is nice and clean. My only complaint is that I couldn't identify sales associates who worked there. I don't mind being left alone, but I did find it weird that I wasn't sure who was working there. read more

This location is great! It's a newer, beautiful store, and when you walk in, the first thing you see is a big Sephora store-within-a-store. They have a HUGE women's department that has something for everyone. They also have an enormous kid's department. There is a salon and a portrait studio in the back, and they are now selling appliances and even mattresses! The employees have been nothing but nice to me, especially the ladies in Jewelry, they have endless patience and let you look at anything you want. (Charlene, Judy and Sylvane, you guys are awesome! And even when the check-out lines get long (which they do) the employees always call more people and get us through super fast, while being really kind and showing no frustration at all. This is my go to store for family and household. I remember going to JCP growing up, now I shop here for my own family. They sell quality items and usually have great deals, so I watch for these and stock up. The store is the perfect size and I don't feel like I've walked a marathon when I'm done. I love the big and tall section as I have a tall family. Plus the bed & bath area is top notch. read more

I was told that I had to return to the store to reorder what I ordered online. That's ignorant to make me go back to the store just to order. I placed an online order on Nov 30 for an item they carry in store. I was told by the associate to do ship to store for faster delivery since its an item sold in the store so it would come with the store orders. It is now 3 days before Christmas and my item still has not shown up. I called the store for more answers and was told that they can't track my order and basically they can't do anything for me. Will not shop here again. Really felt singled out to show my ID to use my credit card to make a $67 purchase. My children's mother have been able to shop for what my kids need without a problem before using my credit card. Spoke to store manager today. She was nice and seemed sincere I was not singled out. You know, I'm sticking by my gut instincts. I was the one at that counter and know how it felt. I have a choice and Will take my business elsewhere. read more

This place is okay but I feel like it is very small for a jcpennys. I also think that they need to get more staff to help you find things.

I feel that jc penny's as a whole is not very family friendly, I bring my 2 month old in with me in her car seat and I need to carry her around with me the entire time, where as I can go somewhere else that has shopping carts that allow my to put the car seat in it. read more

While I was there, within a 30 minute time period, I had 3 different people asking me, 3 different times, if I'm finding everything, if I was okay (46 years old & I'm being followed by 20 something year olds now like I'm a lost!!) what in the world is going on? We went there for a photo shoot at JC Penney portrait and we were very disappointed. The lady there was not nice at all. My son is 2 and my baby girl is about 1 month old. She tried to have my son do what she told him to like sit up high, hold the baby, and a lot of things that 2 years old might not be able to follow all of it and when he can't do it she will act like my boy is a foolish and when it took to long my baby girl started to cry and she said she was not a happy baby which it was really rude to talk like that with customer and then she said you can come again next time and we said no we need to get it done because we are from Kaysville and we not gonna come back to try a second time. It seems like she tried to get thing done fast and she is not patient at all which she should do something else not a photographer and when we were done she asked me to choose pictures that we gonna print out and she click really fast on her computer and all of the pictures look almost the same and she acted like she is annoying so our visit was terrible. Impatient photographer, bad environment, unfriendly, rude ohhhh very bad experience. We paid and we expected it to be good not treated us like we go there for free I cannot describe more how we felt at that time just not recommend this place to anyone until they find a new photographer. read more
