This world has definitely changed so much since 1861 and we have seen a shift to online purchases in the last few decades, so it is good to see Bloomingdale's still here on the Mall at Millenia. This Bloomingdale's has a good selection (which you would expect from a department store) and the store is clean and well-maintained. I received a pair of Tory Burch sandals as a birthday gift from a close friend. Since the size was incorrect, I followed Bloomingdale's return instructions and mailed the item back using the prepaid return label provided by Bloomingdale's. The original gift receipt was enclosed in the return package, as instructed. After weeks of trying to resolve the matter, I was repeatedly told that Bloomingdale's could not locate my returned item. I spent a significant amount of time contacting customer service, explaining the situation over and over, yet no one was able to provide a satisfactory answer or resolution. I have now learned something even more upsetting. Instead of issuing the merchandise credit to me, the gift recipient, Bloomingdale's refunded the value of the item to the original purchaser--my friend who gave me the birthday gift. This mistake has put me in an incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassing position. Not only have I lost the approximately $200 merchandise credit that rightfully belonged to me, but Bloomingdale's actions also risk damaging a personal friendship. My friend may now believe that I intentionally returned their birthday gift, which is both hurtful and completely contrary to what actually happened. This situation was created solely because Bloomingdale's mishandled my return. I trusted Bloomingdale's to process a standard gift return correctly. Instead, I have experienced poor customer service, a lack of accountability, and an outcome that has caused both financial loss and unnecessary personal distress. I respectfully request that Bloomingdale's immediately investigate this matter and issue the appropriate merchandise credit to me. I also ask for an explanation of how a properly submitted gift return was processed in a way that refunded the original purchaser rather than the gift recipient. Only rich people could shop there 2. Splash the mermaid learned how to speak English there in less than a day So, it wasn't until a co-worker of mine told me she got a beautiful Karl Lagerfeld dress for less than $50 at a super sale they were having that I finally decided to step foot in this place. Turns out she was right. I ended up getting a very beautiful dress myself for around the same price. Since then, I've gone quite a number of times. Heck, I took my mom there the last time she was in town, and she had the same attitude I use to have at first. She kept telling me: "No mi'ja, that place is too expensive! Why would you go there?" Until we hit that sales rack and I got her a very elegant, and beautiful shirt for a fraction of the original price. Now, in order to find these gems, you HAVE to be willing to spend time looking around, but I promise it'll be worth it, but I mean, if you want to pay an exorbitant amount, you can find that quite easily too. On a side note, they have a coffee/juicebar on the first floor in case all that shopping works up a thirst.

Luckily, I happened to shop there during their 40% off friends and family sale this second time and only had to sell one kidney to afford the dress I bought. A few thoughts: - The staff is friendly and very attentive. The sections are broken up by designer, but everyone is open to helping get a fitting room started or searching for a random dress you saw online. I even had to ask someone to zip my up into a dress and they were totally cool about it. - I love the fitting rooms on the second floor. They've been painted by local artists to give some kind of affirmative quotes. - They I've a one year return policy as long as you keep one big, bulky tag on the garment. One year seems a bit overkill, but is after shop for you.
