This review is for the HAIR SALON ONLY. imI did not shop around so it does not reflect the rest of the store. i came in for a hair cut and blow dry to which I had an appointment at 3 PM with a stylist. Said stylist comes out and says she will not take the coupon I had online but that another stylist would, so she brings someone else and thank god she did because she did a great job eith my hair. The experience overallw as pleasant, from the wash to the cut to the blowdry, everything was fantastic. When it came time to pay, they were upcharging me from what I had booked online. With that being said, you cannot trust the prices of the salon online. I cut and blow dry will not be 35-62 dollar range like they advertise. It will most likely be in the 70s to 80s. And to top it off the cashier forgot to apply the coupon..... All in all, the manager came to fix the issue only after I called her over and explained the situation. Don't trust the prices online, they will upcharge, and dont let anyone intimidate you against using your coupons, they send them for a reason so persist! read more

I sent my ring to out to be repaired It got stolen. They want to pay me the price that I paid for it 20 years ago It was a replacement because my wedding ring didn't fit. It's tanzanite and diamond. I cannot get another ring for $500. They do not answer the phone. The only one that was friendly was the assistant manager and rima. The manager Maria is was very condescending and has no compassion! Going to the jewelry department of JCPenney is extremely sad they have really cute selections and the prices are not terrible specially if you compare to other places like Macy's and Zales stores but I only gave it 2 stars because there's basically no customer service there was one person there and five people waiting for her to take care of them. The store the decor is outdated And it doesn't smell great in there! These companies complain about financial numbers but they don't put an effort at all into making their stores modern comfortable and a nice experience. read more

Placed a huge online order, used the coupon code on the website. Received an a few days later that only the items without the discount were shipped and the other 16 items were cancelled. When I called to find out why, I was told they have the items in stock but order was canceled b/c they couldn't accept the coupon code. This was a code on their website That they posted that was already accepted, the order was paid for. Incredibly frustrating how they cheat and lie to their customers. Honestly, only my grandma suggests going to JCPenney nowadays. I went in a few years back & wasn't that impressed so I never found a reason to return. After 4 dissatisfying trips to all the Macy's nearby- I decided out of desperation to give them another shot... Yo..they stepped their game up. Yes, everything is on sale so if you're wondering why 80% of the apparel isn't terrible yet still designer-you'll start digging into the price tags & doing "sales math". If I take 30% off this and then the extra coupon with the tarjeta on a god day, you walk away with a steal! Department stores are necessary when you need something nice to wear for work or an event. Sometimes, these stores can be a hassle. You guys, JCPenney didn't die. It's much alive. I had to pick up a quick item and I was in and out in 15 minutes. I came to JCPenney to consider a jewelry purchase. I'd seen what I liked online, and also knew they had a pretty spectacular sale happening. I found what I wanted in a display case and asked to try it on. When I asked the price, the salesperson tried to charge more than what I'd found online. I showed her the price on their website, she left to speak with a manager and told me that, if I'd be willing to make the purchase then and there, she'd honor the same pricing I found on JCPenney.com Wha?? They'll only honor their own pricing from their own website if you'll buy on the spot? That's not how it works, lol. I left and checked other stores at Dolphin Mall, but didn't find anything I liked as well as what I'd seen here. Also, due to their sale, their pricing was unbeatable. I returned, found the same salesperson who'd helped me before (they get paid commission and she was very sweet and bubbly so I wanted her to get it). She matched the internet price and also offered another 20% off by having me apply for a JCPenney card. They needed to order the correct size for me, but 3 days later I got a call saying it was ready for pickup. When I returned to get my order, it took the woman at the jewelry counter several minutes of searching various cabinets, and a phone call to one of her colleagues before she was able to find my purchase. When trying it on, I discovered it was a bit too small. I tried on another from the display that fit better so I asked for an exchange. The salesperson made 3 or 4 in-store announcements over a period of 20 minutes, asking for a manager to come and assist. None came. She apologized a few times, explaining there was only one single manager working that night in the entire store (and this JCPenney isn't small, with 2 full floors of merchandise). In the meantime, other customers came to the jewelry department and either left in frustration or nearly left because the lone attendant was stuck waiting 20 minutes for a manager so she could help me before assisting other customers. When the manager finally arrived, they explained they'd need to refund the purchase I'd originally made, then purchase the piece in the correct size, but promised the same pricing. When she attempted that, I got a text from JCPenney fraud and she got an error on her screen, saying their company's fraud services declined the purchase. Are you kidding? The employee got on her phone while I called the number in the text I received when the purchase was declined. After being on hold for about 5 minutes while waiting to speak with someone, we finally got the situation sorted. Sadly, because of a technicality with the way the exchange had to be made, she wasn't able to give me the same credit terms I was given originally - also disappointing. While my initial purchase was ready for pickup 3 days after I bought it, when I made this exchange, the replacement wasn't listed on their website as being ready for pickup for a full week. When I came here the night after the JCPenney website said it had arrived, they couldn't locate it. They called a manager, then another staff member and all of them searched every cabinet and safe in the store, only to return and tell me they didn't have it. Each time, I'd show them the tracking and message on their own website, telling me it had arrived early that morning. They told me I shouldn't have come until I got a call that it was ready, and that the woman who sorts the incoming items for pickup only works early mornings. I asked (nicely) why they put tracking on their website and post a notice telling you the stuff has arrived, if it's not accurate! My other question was, if there's one woman who sorts the stuff, regardless of when she works, why not try and call her and ask if she knows where it is while I'm there to pick it up, to save me a return trip? So while my initial experience buying here wasn't bad (though it's a good thing I checked their internet pricing first and expected they honor it), every return visit was an exercise in frustration, wasted time and staff not knowing where to find things, unable to locate a manager, etc. In order to simply get the item I wanted in a size that fit, it took a total of 4 visits to this store before I (finally) had what I wanted. I assumed they had gone up in price, but googled packs similar online when I got home, and discovered that Hanes and other manufacturers offer the same thing in a 10 pack for $5. Yesterday I went in to this store to make an exchange of a defective item, and that soon turned in to a little challenge due to that the item was not in stock. I approached Reema at the jewelry counter and she was very helpful & pleasant . She first helped me search for the item. She then communicated with her manager my situation. She gave me other item options, She searched online for my item and ordered it for me ,and made sure i didnt have to pay any extra fees . I rarely go to the mall anymore. Because, ummmm, online shopping rocks! Anyhoo, I had to go to the mall yesterday with my husband to buy a stuff for him at Macy's. So I took a stroll to JCP, because they usually have fairly inexpensive costume jewelry. I picked out several items and proceeded to look for someone that wanted to let me pay for the crap. I walked the entire first floor and finally found ONE freakin' register open. ONE! The line to pay was about 15 deep. So I walk around again and notice someone being helped at the real jewelry counter. After waiting for a bit, I asked the clerk for the store manager. Get this, she told me that after 5PM, there is no manager available. Seriously? I guess she realized that I was getting upset and asked if I wanted to pay. No, dude, I'm just standing there for my health. If they can't afford to have employees available to provide basic customer service, like say... ringing up the merchandise, then just shut down the store. read more

I'm going to say it: with their new marketing strategy, JCPenney has my loyalty. I'm in desperate need of a job and as a soon-to-be graduate, I'm low on cash. With this issue, I need somewhere where I can go and spend less than $50 on a professional business outfit and still impress on job interviews. The new JCPenney allows for this to happen! I wasn't a big fan back in the day- I actually avoided going to this side of the mall because I felt it didn't offer anything to me. I cannot stand this store. The funny part is that I used to work at the jcpenney and international mall and it is nothing compared to this disaster! There were only 2 cashiers open with one person working and no employee on the floor. 4 out of the 6 customer service circles empty, without a single cashier open plus two more registers in the middle by accessories empty. Clothes and disasters everywhere and no employee seems to be working. It's like a dessert. The fitting rooms filled with clothes, employees by the jewelry area don't give a damn about you unless you're buying jewelry. Worst experience ever. Never coming to this jcpenney again! This review is for the Sephora located inside JCP: After visiting the stand alone Sephora store at Dadeland Mall TWICE in 30 minutes, I was on my way out and had to cut through JCP. I ducked into the Sephora section for one more attempt at buying foundation before calling it quits. I walked around looking at the inventory and seeing if I could find an associate to help me. Much like my visit to every single store that day, several sales associates walked right by me and never offered their help. Here, 3 were walking past me in a single file line.. except the 3rd associate, Lauren, was the ONLY one to stop, greet me, and ask if i needed help with. YES! Finally!! Someone realized a customer wanted to spend some money and needed a little help. I explained what I was looking for in a foundation (coverage, weight, etc) and Lauren not only helped me find the right product/shade, but she paired it with a primer I already owned to show me how it would look and feel. She gave me application tips, didn't put me down in order to sell me something I didn't need and was very helpful. She asked if I needed anything else, ran down a list of possible products I might need and off to the register we went. I was going to my first Black Tie Gala that night and wanted to feel 100% confident about my makeup. All I wanted was a foundation that would match my face to the rest of me. Simple, right? Lauren helped knock this off my to-do list just when I was about to give up and I couldn't be happier with her service. If not for her, I would've walked out without a purchase. I will definitely seek her out again, if possible. NOTE: In the past, this location wouldn't accept Beauty Insider which kept me from shopping here because points and freebies are the reason you sign up for these things. I don't know when they started doing it, but they now take Beauty Insider at this spot. THAT, combined with Lauren's willingness to help, is definitely incentive for me to come back to this store over the stand alone one deep within the mall. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. There are only 2 registers open a week before Xmas the lines are ridiculous. This is the reason I hate shopping at the Dadeland store. I went to look for a manager and found the most unpleasant and rude manager. I ask if she could help and open another register she said no so I suggest you wait in line. It's close to closing and I'm not pulling people from the floor. Several people who were in line left and I did too. You lost so many customers because we don't want to wait in line while we see store employees folding at the slowest pace. To add the manager was pretending to fold and was in a far comer of the store while her radio was going off asking for help. JCPenney you need to train your managers. I worked in JCPenny 20 years ago and we were all about customer service. I guess those days are gone. read more

I stopped by to pick up an online order and needed to use the bathroom. I asked the jewelry associate for directions to the nearest bathroom and she completely disregarded me and waved me off. I then proceeded to ask other associates on the floor and was sent in a spiral. This review is for the photo studio in the Dadeland location. I can only say that I will never return on a weekend BC its very busy and you feel very rushed. If you have small children, this is very frustrating as you now that children don't always cooperate and they need a little time and humor--not what an hourly paid photographer may be in the mood for. I got good photos and the manager gave me an inconvenience coupon, which is the only reason I gave a better rating. But if you're looking for quick and affordable photos with adults or maturer kids, this is fine. For younger kids, hire a professional photographer who can come to a location that the kids feel comfortable even if its a bit costlier. read more

They have a variety of stuff to choose from for ex women stuff like clothes, tall heels, fun jewellery all kinds of earings , rings. and of course makeup. : )In addition, the employess are always kind, polite and friendly. I like JCPenney for their sales and selection. I like that they have a plus section for kids. I like that they have a section for guys T-Shirts with all kinds of quirky sayings and drawings. This store has plenty of parking. It is kept clean and organized. What I don't like is that there is no men's bathroom downstairs. No men's fitting room down stairs. Trying to find a men's bathroom in this place is ridiculous, you will piss your pants by the time you find one. If you are a guy and forget to try something on when you are in your section forget about it. We almost got our heads bit off because we went into a fitting room that wasn't for men and it didn't say it was only for women. read more

So after having lunch at Chick-fil-A and ready to set out to places like Best Buy and brandsmart to buy appliances I noticed online at JCPenney is also a seller of appliances. So I walk through the mall and approach the JCPenney store and there's of about a 10 foot sign at the door advertising appliances. I walked the entire store upstairs downstairs looking for appliances and found none. That was a nice lady standing at the entryway in the store so I asked her if where the appliances were. Much to my surprise she had absolutely no idea. You would think that the person standing at the door right next to a 10 foot sign advertising appliances would know where to actually find the appliances. The photographer gave zero corrections to my suit which was folded on itself and I HAD $90 worth of services scheduled and felt my appointment was extremely rushed and was only in the studio for about 10 minutes with zero correction and my hair was stuck in the suit as well read more

We came here for a family photo shoot with my newborn in their portrait studio and I could not complain. The photographers were very professional and knew exactly how to get the picture idea we had in mind. Also the photographers were great in keeping my newborn calm and picture ready. We used a living social which saved us money but their prices are affordable even without the deal we had. I was really pleased with the pictures they took and I will use them again in the future. read more

April at the portrait studio is amazing! She captured so many great pictures of our family, including our toddler girl! You can tell she has years of professional experience in both photography and customer service. I will always return here for my annual pictures. read more
