JCPenney usually has really adorable big kid clothing. The nationwide chain was quite useful for back-to-school shopping back on July 20, 2024. That and the rewards program are two main reasons why I continue to shop there. This store inside the South Plains Mall in Lubbock, TX, was relatively large. The dressing rooms on the second floor were disorganized, unattended, and dirty. Our cashier was a bit rude and muttered to herself at first, but warmed up when I engaged in conversation. me and my wife went to JCPenney in Lubbock , Tx . at the mall there in Lubbock, Tx . we walked in man !!!!. it was very hot in that building we asked some employees if they had the heater on or if the A/C to that building wasn't working they replayed it's always hot in this building they never get the A/C fixed . And management doesn't seem to care . one employee told use that they had a guy that had come by to take a look at the A/C but non see to know if anyone had call in a work order . That's very sad that management nor corporate even care to hire someone . maybe they can't find someone to fix the A/C because corpr doesn't care or pay . read more

I had my hair done today for the first time at the salon inside JC penny by Christina and she did a really great job. I was very pleasantly surprised because i always considered there salon to be more geared towards older people but I was definitely wrong. My hair is extremely damaged and christina went the extra mile and even stayed past the time she was supposed to to make sure it was perfect. I will definitely becoming here again, they offer extensions, braids, waxing, and much more at a reasonable price. The salon is very modern and clean as well. I would definitely recommend this salon to both men and women in Lubbock. read more

I am still giving a 4, because I like JCP and have shopped at store and online for many years. So, I am wanting you all to stay open. However, cashiers barking at customers about not being in the right line at register, will drive some away. If customer has products in hand and ready to pay, don't bark at them for being in the wrong line and go get in the right line. Does it really matter? Maybe, post a sign. No one is trying to cut or mess up the sequence. read more

After the remodel a couple of years ago, things have been harder to find, but this is still one of the few places to find affordable men's dress clothes. It is disturbing, however, to be checking out with young people who have multiple facial piercings or purple hair. This store caters to many older adults and this is surely a distraction to them. The customer service industry seems to be much more liberal than it used to be and this is taking tolerance a bit overboard. I am in my 40's and struggle with the lack of professionalism represented by some of the cashiers I saw today. They were nice, but did not portray a good first impression. read more

This review is for the Sephora inside JCPenney. First and for most the employees are RUDE! And too busy having conversations among each other . I understand it's hard to keep a tidy store especially if it's busy but it's not impossible. It's so unorganized and just dirty. Also the inventory is always low they are always out of everything all the time! I understand this might happen from time to time but this is an on going issue. I've been to other Sephora inside JCPenney and stand alone stores and they are so much better! Why though? I do believe they need new management inside the Sephora. The photo studio at this JCP is the worst. They are routinely late and running hours behind. On top of that, the employees are rude.

JCPenney is well, JCPenney. Except when this particular location has gone so far downhill. The dressing rooms are dirty. When I was paying, I was asked to apply for a credit card, which I declined because I do not shop there enough. Then the sales associates were bragging to each other about how many credit applications they had received that day, so unprofessional to discuss this in front of customers. After I paid, I didn't even hear a "thank you" or anything. I was terribly disappointed how far downhill it has gone. It's sad really. In conclusion, I will find other places to shop in the future because there are plenty of other places who sell the same stuff they do and my recommendation is to do the same. read more

Sephora in JC Penney: I was not greeted at all. While the ONLY worker who was in there was doing a makeup consult, she could have very easily welcomed me. After finding what I needed, by myself, I walked up to the counter to pay. The worker was behind the counter answering questions for the girls in front of me and walked away to help them with a product. I completely understand that this is her job; however, she could have told me she'd be right with me. I, in no way, wanted to take away from her customer service but an acknowledgement would have been great. Another worker popped up, I'm assuming she was on break. She was great! She was so helpful and very informative. Sephora ladies: just work on your customer service skills. You're there to help us and we are there to spend money. They go hand in hand. read more

Only good thing about this store is that there's a Sephora in it. The bathroom was disgusting and only one out of five sinks were working. There was poop splattered all inside the toilets and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. read more

I am writing this review for the Sephora inside JCP. Today was my first time visiting, and I had a wonderful experience. Summer is amazing. She is extremely helpful and passionate about cosmetics.
