My husband brought me a diamond ring with a band to go with it for Mother's Day. it was beautiful but only sold in a size 7 so it was big on my finger. an hour after wearing it, a diamond fell out. I took it in the next day to have it sized, fused and to have that diamond replaced. we had to wait a month and a half to get it back. when my husband picked it up, it was not fused as requested. 2 hours after wearing it, another diamond fell out. so we have to take it back yet again after wearing it a total of 3 hours since Mother's Day in hopes they fuse it this time and replace yet another diamond. I'm almost scared to get it back and wear it again in fear that another diamond will fall out within and hour or two of wearing it. that and we have to wait another month and a half. Will i only get to wear it for an hour every month and a half. we are very disappointed in the quality of their fine jewelry, customer care and overall experience. my husband said he will never buy another piece of jewelry form JCPenny again. they haven't even reached out to us on this matter. we encourage others to shop elsewhere for your fine jewelry if you actually want to wear it in its entirety. otherwise you will just be able to look at or wear it for an hour every month and a half. read more

While many of the items are great prices and the staff is friendly, the systems at JC Penney are not efficient for staff or customers. The salon staff literally went through like 15-20 steps to ring up two items for me. Their time would be better spent doing hair. We bought two items on sale and the wrong price rung up. In order to make the correction a manager was called at home. JC Penney is losing market share and they need to look at their systems. read more

I have never been stereotyped so bad in my life for what I can only assume is because my boyfriend has alot of tattoos.Today while shopping in the men's dressshirts for a button up shirt for a Christmas party my boyfriend and I noticed a lot of employees come to the department we were in and ask if we needed help I didn't think anything about it at first but then one man dressed in street clothes would stand next to a display and take pictures of us. My boyfriend tried to confront him and ask if he could help him he just put his head down and didn't say anything but everytime we walk to somewhere else there he was taking pictures. After only about 20 minutes we headed to the register to pay for the shirt and there he was again at which point my boyfriend frustrated by this harassment took his picture. He said hey don't do that and they exchanged words at which point he kicked us out and said we couldn't come back because my boyfriend cussed. Worst experience I have ever had. These people took one look at us a decided to follow harass and photo us for no reason. I would never recommend this store after this experience. They have lost my business I will probably cancel my JCPenney credit card too. These people obviously don't value their customers business. read more

The hair services here were absolutely horrid. I came out looking like someone had put wet kelp all over my hair, and completely ruined it for senior pictures. The blonde highlights I requested turned out to be a silvery gray, which is **not** a blonde. Not to mention the cut was mullet-like and absolutely disgusting. I left the place, and cried my eyes out in my car because I had just spent 105.00 on something that made me look like an extra on a horror film. Do not get your salon services here, even if you're being thrifty, just go to ulta beauty. They have actual professionals that know what to do and how to communicate. I'm shaving my hair tomorrow and praying that my wig comes in time for my photographs. I repeat, do not go here. The women barely even know how to do their own hair, let alone yours. I have never been so disappointed as I was when I entered the JCP in Grand Junction, CO. I have been a customer and cardholder for many years. I went in looking for a specific item and never saw a sales associate, the store was filthy, smelled like a dirty diaper and clothing on hangars were in disarray. Clothing on tables were just piled in an unorganized manner. I chose to leave the store and go elsewhere to make my purchase. Visit yesterday Nov 24th. Was not impressed. Store was well stocked but I have to admit their sales of up to 80 percent off was not at all impressive. I found many items although marked down not that cheap. Once again it's better to sell many at a reduced price than one item at a higher price. Lesson learned . read more

I have always received my online orders on time and love the Grand Junction store. I have never found it dirty. We do not have very many sales people but with Herbergers closing, I would think more people will go to Penny's and Sears. read more

Placed an order online 12-9-17 and I have yet to receive it. With many phone calls and still no product I asked for a refund. I'm told they can not refund me until the order is received in the store. This Penney's has a good assortment of children's clothes and some for adults, but it is in need of sprucing up and remodelling. There are hardly any checkout counters, and the catalog/online order pickup is now at the household goods counter which is always busy. It took 3 cashiers and at least half an hour to find my order which had been misplaced in the stockroom. The aisles are full of stock, leaving little room to walk. I can't believe the fire dept. allows this. I tried applying for seasonal work, but the computer in the management office was not working properly. It had software that said it was for server 2008. I was told to apply from home. Penneys headquarters is not supporting this store, and I am sure it is one that will be closed. Customers and employees both deserve better. read more
