I suggested to do a search on Yelp and he landed on Deluxe Pool Services. I held my breath... and they came through. The services he gets include opening/closing and weekly cleanings. Dad is especially impressed because whenever there are issues with his pool, their customer service is so top tier, they are on it immediately to resolve the problem. Their location is in CT but you can see from the reviews that they work with pools all over LI (and apparently as far as Albany, according to my father). Their maintenance people are fast, friendly and thorough (I've been at the house a couple times when they serviced the pool). Reasonably priced, too. Important to note that my father is someone who doesn't tolerate inconsistent timeliness (this probably goes for 9/10 dads, no?) and they are always on time or they call. You really can't ask for anything more when it comes to pool services.

Instead, he insisted on putting it in a different spot, assuring me that he had leveled the ground and that it would be fine. The pool looked okay at first, but it only lasted one season. Last year, the liner ripped, and I initially thought it was my fault. This year, I had another pool professional come inspect it, and they immediately pointed out that the original installation was done very poorly. They found that there were tree roots underneath the pool that had continued to grow, causing the ground to become uneven and the pool to lose its level. I was also told that the area should never have been used in the first place because of the roots. I trusted his judgment when he assured me the spot was properly leveled, but it turns out that wasn't the case. While the pool may have looked fine initially, the poor placement and installation ended up costing me a damaged liner and additional repair expenses just a year later. I would not recommend this service based on my experience. If I could give a 0 star;I would.

The owner advertises as an experienced professional that will provide leak detection and repair. My Husband already located the area with the issue by using the leak detection dye and attempted to patch the hole before we reached out for help, so we know a little bit about what was going on. When Mr. Zorn arrived, my husband gave him a heads up to where the water may be coming from, but we expected Mr. Zorn to also do his own research. Mr. Zorn stood above our pool, looking down and saying he spotted several holes. Never did Mr. Zorn provide leak detection services. After he stated that he spotted several holes, he put 6 patches and charged $400. My Husband and I are self-sufficient with repairing things in our home so beforehand we researched repairing the pool ourselves and order a pack of patches for $20.00 with the glue. So for Mr. Zorn to charge us $400 to look from the top of our pool (leak detection) and 6 patches (repair) for $400 is a scam. Of course, the pool is still leaking, and Mr. Zorn will not refund us $200. Instead, he came back and said he found 4 more holes and put in 4 more patches. Pool is still leaking. I texted Mr. Zorn about the leaking and he said that would come back a third time. I asked him to please not come back and just refund us $200 since he did not do a good job. He said there are no refunds and got rude. With that said, I think Clear Swim is not a reputable company because the owner does not guarantee his work and does not provide refunds for his mediocre work.

I realized it would be priced a little bit higher because it was a lot of damage done over the winter to the pool. He immediately found the leak and was back again within a few days to fix it (in the middle of the pool opening rush!). The fix worked, the price was reasonable, and he was very professional in our dealings. I would recommend him to anyone with a pool leak problem!
