My colleague placed a huge donut order and accidentally canceled it. Uber Eats then charged him most of the order at over $40. So we asked them to deliver the order but their customer service was unable to help since they also had the wrong number to contact the merchant. What a mess! I just had an incredible flaky version of a Pano chocolate with so much chocolate in it. They call it the chocolate avalanche. My second choice was an apple fritter. That was the juiciest, sweetest and still crunchy fritter with a perfect cooking. GOAT! When I saw the amount of filling that was on the traditional kolaches, I knew it was gonna be a great place. The array of breakfast handhelds included a giant woven full meal pastry with (I think) bacon, ham and egg. Another looks like a traditional puffy filled doughnut but had a fire brand on each one with the initials of the filling, bacon ham etc. They were nearly sold out at 10 AM in the morning so I am probably not the first person to discover this place. Ordered from this place for the first time on a Thursday morning around 9:30 AM via UberEats. Glazed Donut - Texture is light and fluffy. Typical donut light on the icing. Might've been old since it was later in the day. Raspberry Filled Donut - Texture is also light and fluffy, similar to regular glazed donut. Not much filling in it. I had to dig through more than half of the whole donut there is only about a grape-size amount of filling in the entire thing. Raspberry filling has seeds in it - mostly like raspberry jam from the store - kind I'd takes away from the soft fluffiness of the donut IMO (but that's mostly because I don't like seeds in my raspberry jam). Quite disappointing. Strawberry Cream Cheese Danish - Strange flavor on the pastry part...Kind of taste like shortening? or a very familiar type of shortening that you typically taste from a grocery store bakery section, not off the shelf, but not quite from a restaurant either. Very minuscule amount of cream cheese, if any, unless it all melted into the pastry, which it probably did. I would've also liked A LOT more strawberry filling, though - maybe actual strawberries instead of just jam again. Very disappointing. Cronut - I saved this one for last because I LOVE cronuts, and I wanted to save the best for last. Unfortunately, I was met with disappointment yet again. Absolutely no icing on the bottom. It's like these were put in bowls and icing was poured on top - there's even a little muffin top lid where the icing stops and mushrooms over. (See photo) biting into it is met with absolute hollowness. It's full of air and quite stale tasting - not the many layers of a buttery croissant, but instead, giant, hollow holes of deep fried Youtiao (Chinese crullers (look it up)). Not what I'm going for when I'm looking for a cronut. INCREDIBLY disappointed. Also, there might be some flavor contamination in the process of making these because the cronut tasted like apples & I did not order anything with apples. Overall, I was very disappointed with this place. Although it was later in the day. I've been to other places later in the day and still gotten donuts eaten their donuts several days after AND their donuts STILL hold up fine. Donuts should be able to withstand one day if at least the hours that they are being sold. Nothing was disgusting although I found everything was either average, a little weird, or slightly below average. I would not recommend this place & I will not be going back. read more

I have been coming to this place for about 3 months the service is somewhat suspect (not enough people working) but the kolaches are good donuts not so much! But today was my last purchase. This morning, I stop by to purchase a some kolaches and water and on my way out I realize that I forgot to buy the water so I turn around to pay for it! The first thing she says is that i have to buy over over 3 dollars with card. I dont know whoever told this business that forcing people to buy more than 3 dollars to use a debit/credit was a good business practice! I only carry card, the lady just said no, I said I just spent a lot money buying kolaches at your shop, she said "yeah sorry" in my opinion, this are just bad business practices of "GREED". I felt like this business is just greedy and BAD place to shop!! As a business owner myself I would have just given the water bottle away INSTEAD of losing a customer!! This place has become one of my go to's. I stop in here more times per week than I'd like to admit. I've had my share of gourmet donuts but my preference is an unfussy, classic donut done well. The ones here are fresh, fluffy, and not greasy at all. My favorite is the maple donut and my toddler devours the potato egg cheese koloache. The holes of course, everything else should follow how good or bad they were. But JC Donuts' stood out. BEST plain donut holes I've ever had!! So light, fluffy and sweet. Really delicious donuts. Took 3 young boys and the owner was so accommodating, threw in the plain donut holes for free, which ended up being our favorite part! The boys said the kolaches were delicious, and all the sprinkled donuts (chocolate & strawberry) were devoured. Environment isn't anything fancy, what you'd expect for a donut shop, but it had everything needed, including good beverages. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. It's a small shop nearly hidden away in a strip mall and it is worth a try. Everything here is handmade and ridiculously good. From the jalapeno sausage rolls (which are nice and spicy and wrapped in a light yet sturdy roll) to the apple fritters (which are thin enough to be easy to eat while being crispy on the outside and perfectly chewy inside - literally the best hands down in DFW), you won't find better pastries anywhere. Everything tastes fresh - because it is! I do have to say that, as good as the food is, the owners make this an even better experience. Cindy is a delightful young woman who has known our names from the second time we visited her shop. Her husband is always very friendly, and they both always seem genuinely glad to see us. I have actually driven to this store in Dallas from my house in Cedar Hill on a Sunday morning JUST for breakfast. Yes, it's that good. Be sure to get there early before all the best stuff is good, especially on weekends! Just ordered this morning. The guy cashiering was rude and unprofessional. When I first came through the door, there were no acknowledgment from the staff nor the cashier. I said hello and it took the guy around a minute to say " What you want?"; which is fine since it the morning. I proceeded to ordered and told him my order. He lift up an item and ask if this is what I want and I shake my head and said no. He did not ask if I wanted my stuff to be heated up and went ahead to do it and I let it go cause he was already curt since I just want my food and leave at this point. When he rung up my food, the item that I told him no too, he rung it up and when I brought it up he said aggressively said that I told him yes which he had already heated up. He yanked the microwave door open and took the item out without gloves to put back in the display. He argue with me saying that he showed it to me and I said yes. He took it off and slam my food on the counter! I am a regular customer that comes in every week for 2-3 days of the week and to be treated like this is unacceptable! I will not come back! They have the best fresh donuts. You do have to be careful and make sure to not be to lazy on Saturdays because they run out of the good ones.
