Have taken my car here a few times since my last review! Best service ever…read more There was a very cold day over the winter that caused some ice to build up in my rims. That in turn caused my car to shudder pretty violently. I didn't know what it was so I brought it to them in a panic with no appointment. They looked at it for me, assured me everything was fine, and didn't even charge me. So nice of them. And it was fine. When I drove it home from work there was no issue. Needed new front brakes a few weeks ago - they did it quickly and at a very reasonable/affordable cost. I am always happy with this shop so I wanted to add another review, as I've brought it in a few times since my original visit. I will continue to go here exclusively. Even just for my oil changes. Comparable in cost to those drive thru places but the service is next level.

I have a 2003 honda accord with 120k miles on it so i expect i'll need to have some maintenance done to the vehicle at times. However, when i pulled out of my parking spot one morning there was a huge oil spot underneath my car. Scary. I took the car in for a look. Within about 20 mins Tim had diagnosed the issue, assured me it wasn't that big of deal, and was able to provide me a quote on the service that was more than reasonable. I went to him thinking the worst and that i would be having to either replace the engine or get a new car. Due to my own travel i wasn't able to have my car worked on that week, but Tim was open to communicating with me via text message to set up an appointment to have my car serviced and he even provided a loaner vehicle. (I talk on the phone for a living so if i can do anything via text or email it's a huge bonus for me) Most importantly I felt like i could trust Tim. I hate going to a mechanic and they try take advantage of the fact i know nothing of vehicles and try to get you to pay for services that aren't necessary. I was completely prepared to have other services performed but Tim assured me that if i wasn't having issues with the vehicle they could probably wait and saved me some money in the end. He could have easily put some extra money in the shops pocket but instead he created a repeat customer. The shop is way out of the way for me but I would have trouble finding a mechanic I trust so it's well worth the drive. Great job....thanks again Tim.

I was looking to buy a car from their lot and it turned very sour. At first they were kind but…read moreafter test driving the car and having my mechanic take a peak we learned the whole underside was painted black to hide a ton of rust. It was an old car, so of course rust will be present but to lie about it, hide it and try to upsell the car is crazy. When I went back I asked if they would assist in at least some repairs and that I would be willing to pay full price if so. I was snapped at, then not only belittled and treated as if I was delusional about there being rust but he was incredibly abrasive and rude. He then proceeds to say how there are "no problems",it passed the "safety check" and "it's and old car, you can't expect it to be perfect". Overall, do not trust the quality of the cars there. You never know if they just painted over everything and then inspected it themselves.

Instead of yanking it out…read moreand potentially watching my tire go flat, I scheduled a same-day appt at Sullivan and asked for help. Tim (behind the counter) explained they'll pull it out, see if the tire is leaking, and we'll go from there. Luis (in the garage) took my car and let me know if the tire is punctured and leaking it'll need to be replaced based on where the nail was stuck. (Blargh.) Then after getting the nail out and checking it for a leak, I got the great news that it wasn't leaking. (Yay!) Luis took my car for a quick test drive to confirm the tire sensor didn't kick on (it didn't) and handed it back to me. They took my car on time, kept me up to date and every step, and used a floor mat to keep my car clean. The whole appt only took about 30 minutes, and they had free WiFi so I was able to work while I waited. I got lucky this time, and they certainly earned my business when it's time to make a real tire/service purchase.
