I called, and they suggested I really had to come in, which makes sense. They gave me options/pricing, and really tried to keep the price low. The dealership quoted me $4,000 (to be clear, dealer did say 'shop around') to repair whole system. I drove out of Muffler Doctor with a repaired, safe, car for just under $200.

Today I brought my Subaru in for brake pads and rotators... I thought easy fix. Well I was informed I needs calipers too. $900+ visit... after speaking with Tim, I remembered I had an extended warranty. After all was said and done, the Subaru dealership has to replace everything due to a manufacture issue. Tim was helpful through the whole process, and charged me NOTHING. When I asked if I could at least pay something for the diagnostics, he stated "oh no, I mean I would hope someone would do this for me in your situation." You do not find that kind of customer service anywhere now days. Most shops are all for themselves and how they can make money. It's great to know there are still good businesses and business people out there. Even the advisor at Subaru mentioned the guys at Muffler Doctor are good people. So if you're looking for a great place to bring your car... this is the place!

The last 2 times I called, they were able to get me immediately. Once for tires and once for a nail puncture repair. It bothers me to see a one star review. I know people usually do not leave reviews unless they are angry, so I am here to say I have never had nothing but EXCELLENT service at this Cottage Grove location. The managers name is Tony. I don't personally know him, but have remembered his name after the 3rd visit. He also seems to treat his workers well. Highly recommend for tires or tire service. I have never had any mechanical repairs there.

I trailed oil all through the parking lot at the store and someone noticed it. The oil was at less than 1/2 inch on the dipstick. We put 3 quarts of oil in it and I drove less than a quarter mile to a Valvoline store. Photos indicate severe leakage. Valvoline has a two-step process where the person under your car doing the work is prompted by a person next to your car yelling out checkpoints as these checkpoints are checked you have the confidence that every necessary step is completed. When I went to CarX for a refund, the manager, Dave was argumentative with me and mocked me. When I described the situation I had. He told me I didn't need to get snippy. I voice recorded the entire conversation with him. I've never done that before, but I think I was onto something because I do have proof. I have videos and photo images from the technician at Valvoline that helped me. I will never go anywhere except Valvoline again.!!! and Car X was nearly responsible for total engine failure on my 87,000 mile car!!!!

Well as a…read moreresult of some light snowfall winters the past few years and some great neighbors that have sometimes cleared our snowy driveway while we were away or at work, we have only used our snowblower a couple of times. As we were preparing for this season our snowblower wouldn't start. With the referral from a local hardware shop, we found a great gentleman to fix our snowblower. He recommended that we use non oxygenated gas for our snowblower and lawnmower. The non oxygenated gas will last longer and not breakdown as quickly as regular gas. So we headed over to Duffy's which is just a few minutes from our house. They were actually closed however you can pay at the pump which is what we usually do. I noticed that not only do they have non oxygenated gas, but also racing fuel, do car repairs and have a ladies day. Yes a ladies day on Tuesdays. We are fans of the local places and family owned places and Duffy's is that type of place. Since this is our only visit so far, couldn't quite give them 5 stars. We'll be back again and hopefully check them out for some repairs, but hopefully not too soon with the car repairs.
