This is the closest library to my home so I thought I would check it out. I created an account…read moreonline and was excited to see that I could request books and have them sent to the library of my choice and put on hold for me. When I arrived the staff I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. I was able to get the books I requested along with my brand new library card all in one visit. I found out that they stay open late on Tuesdays/Thursdays (12pm-8pm) and are open the rest of the week 10am-6pm. They also have a self-checkout station for additional convenience.

The location is really good, the librarian doesn't seem to enforce rules, I spoke to him about trying to help out with the voice level, it just seems like he's not on top of his job. In my previous years, the Cody Library was my usual spot, but since this one is close to where I live, I went here. It took less time to vote than it took to drive here! The whole experience was fast, easy, and free of stress. The folks helping us get settled were also polite and friendly, and they didn't make us feel rushed. I look forward to voting at the Maverick Library now!

However, my first 2 times were unsuccessful because they were closed and I had other places to be so we didn't stay. The 2nd time we came for a play day with my daughter but she fell asleep and I didn't want to wake her so I waited for her to wake up and just browsed around and played on the swings for a bit. This time we actually made it on time for play time. Very packed house today but it was a fun experience for my daughter. Especially since she's an only child. I highly recommend! It's FREE!! FYI we were informed today that the library will be closing Jan 26th until May sometime I'm glad we experienced the old version of this beautiful library! Excited to see the remodeled/ renovated version once it's done!

The library itself is pretty small, and for a library, it may feel a little lacking. There's just not a ton of space to get lost in books. For parents with young kids, Landa Library is a great place to go!

They have a music time and an arts and craft time for the little ones too. My little girl just loves it. I believe they also offer a free family movie night on certain Fridays too. Bright, calm, and welcoming, it's the kind of place where you'll see a mix of people studying, kids discovering new books, and neighbors popping in to pick up their holds. It feels like a true community space. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and everything runs so smoothly. Libraries are truly one of the best public resources we have, and Cody Branch does it especially well. One of my favorite things is using the mySAPL app to request books, and then getting the notification that they're ready for pickup. When I walk in and see my little stack waiting for me on the hold shelf, it feels like the best kind of VIP treatment. No searching, no stress! Just grab your books and go. Very good neighborhood library. I'm a regular patron and this is one of my go-to spot for voting…read moreand other civic duties. Selection is decent in books, magazines, and DVDs. Even better are the seating areas, parking areas, and bathrooms, which are all generous in size and well kept. Only negatives are that the staff seems a little overwhelmed (there are stacks of books that need reshelving) and the parking lot's oddly designed and confusing, especially when you have to enter and then turn around to drop off books.

Well…read moretypically it is library whoever once go to school and have enough education know that they should try to respect the quiet of the library right? unless you dont go to school or you deliberately make noise to annoy certain people. If you have efficient education at your school then there is no reason anyone should have to ask you to be quiet. Even with that common sense, occationally there are still people come in and slamming door like they have never go to library or go to school even once in their life time. But come on we are in United States, " No child left behind" how can we have those people graduate from school without learning the most common sense in society right? Well unless they did it intentionally. But who would do that we all educated and should respect the library rule right? That is why we have quiet space in library and Do Not make loud noise in library signs. Am I right or wrong?
