I was really excited to find out that they were opening a library close to where I live, however, this library is pretty small and unfortunately I never feel very welcomed when I come in. The staff aren't rude, but they aren't very friendly either, I guess unobjectionable would be the best way to describe them. They help you with what you need, but don't expect a smile. If you are looking for books, I recommend using the library app to request books and put them on hold. In my opinion, the express collection has a weak selection unless you are looking for children's books. I noticed that they have free wifi and laptop check-out which is nice. A big plus is the self check out area. Just scan your library card and your books and you're good to go! Drop off is also conveniently located right next to self check out (however, if you're looking for the external book drop it's waaay behind the library - probably an after thought and definitely poorly planned). If you forget your library card you can always check out books with your drivers license or if you download the library app you can use the digital library card. Before Potranco library was built I went to Guerra library and I always felt welcomed there. The staff at Guerra were friendly and even made recommendations for me based on what I was checking out. If I had questions it never seemed to bother them and they genuinely seemed to enjoy working at the library. I've made Potranco my main library since it's the closest to my home, but I still prefer Guerra when it comes to service. read more
