Quiet, clean, a little nature around for study breaks. I like the quiet study room when it's not too stuffy.

Everyone really needs to check out their local libraries. We went for baby time and now family time reading and my daughter enjoys these interactive readings. Also we saw they had a display for books for sell! I got a book for $2!!

this might be my new favorite library. walking in, it seems small and a little bit stuffy. you can tell they try to make use of as much as they can here, which i appreciate. what won me over, the silent study space. I am a mom of two, going back to college and silence is so hard to come by, even on campus. another plus, it's next to a cute park where my kids can play with their dad while mom does homework.

Went to baby reading time, the lady that was in charged of the reading was so sweet and just a lovely lady in general! So many mommy's and babies showed up so it nice to see a little community form especially newer moms! Now we are waiting for family reading time I love it here!

I've never been inside, but they are implementing CDC guidelines successfully. Use the app or call the library to reserve a book. Call when you arrive and wait until they place your book on a table in a bag with your name in it. When you're returning an item simply drop it off in the bin. The APP is currently down right now as they are switching over to a new server, but you can still complete transactions on their website or via the phone. Very helpful staff who are very willing to assist you with your inquiries.

Very nice scenery outside, and the staff is friendly. Definitely going back again! My 6 year old loves the children's section!

However, my first 2 times were unsuccessful because they were closed and I had other places to be so we didn't stay. The 2nd time we came for a play day with my daughter but she fell asleep and I didn't want to wake her so I waited for her to wake up and just browsed around and played on the swings for a bit. This time we actually made it on time for play time. Very packed house today but it was a fun experience for my daughter. Especially since she's an only child. I highly recommend! It's FREE!! FYI we were informed today that the library will be closing Jan 26th until May sometime I'm glad we experienced the old version of this beautiful library! Excited to see the remodeled/ renovated version once it's done!

The library itself is pretty small, and for a library, it may feel a little lacking. There's just not a ton of space to get lost in books. For parents with young kids, Landa Library is a great place to go!

The subject matter may be considered sensitive by some; however, understanding history in its entirety is essential to informed dialogue and meaningful progress. Dr. Isaac Amon delivered an exceptional presentation, providing compelling analysis, historical context, and valuable insights. The Central Library staff should be commended for organizing and hosting such a well-executed and impactful event. The lecture introduced historical facts, statistics, and perspectives that were not part of my academic experience, either in school or college. It was an enlightening and thought-provoking experience that reinforced the importance of continuous learning and a deeper understanding of our shared history.

This amazing library is located in the heart of downtown and was built by renowned Mexican architect, Ricardo Legorreta. The building is absolutely stunning and has actually been featured in Hollywood movies. If you love art as much as I do you'll be happy to hear that they have a Chihuly inside the library, as well as other pieces of art by very popular artists. The San Antonio Central Library is so much more than a local library. Within the building, you can find other nonprofits that help support small businesses in our community, as well as numerous events they host almost daily. One of my favorite parts about the SA Central Library is their second-hand bookstore located in the basement. You can find some true gems in there, and all the money raised from sales goes back to the library. If you have children I highly recommend exploring their kids' section. My kid loves to play in that area and the staff there is always amazing! Last but not least, the library has its own parking lot and you can get up to three hours of free parking when visiting. You just have to validate your ticket at one of the kiosks located by the entrance.
