When I originally came in I had a list of things that I felt I needed addressed, and then we finished the first target of therapy. Something happened that I wasn't expecting. So many layers of my onion brain were slowly being peeled back and unfolding. I could not have made it this far without the help of my therapist James Truesdell. He has a soft, patient tone that is so comforting and easy during your healing process. He made me feel safe every time and was always concerned about my overall well being. I've been seen there for around 4…read moremonths at the time of this writing and this was in regards to medication management. my service provider has been very helpful, extremely knowledgeable as well as clear and concise in our dealings. why the low rating? it's all in regards to billing and payment. during the initial paperwork for intake I read the whole thing through and found that it stated they'd be keeping a credit/debit card on file and would bill services immediately, without any contact or providing a receipt. I get that no one wants to be left swinging in the breeze without payment but, this has bothered me every time it's come up. I've elected to pay cash with this business and they don't seem to have an immediate problem with that but, here it comes.... when they call to say your bill come to "insert amount here" and can we please have a card number to get it taken care of. I decline and say I'll bring cash over. then I get asked, "will that be today or at your next appointment?" and followed up with I'll add a note to your account. also, my insurance tends to take a few weeks to get the bill through the system and let the provider know what they can charge. this place has collected from me before that process has been completed. all of this just seems odd to me. if it weren't for the incredible interactions with my service provider I'd be going elsewhere because of the billing.

Many who want to seek out some help are…read morealready dealing with the stigma around mental health care and then it's compounded by counselors that are not a good fit in a over sterile environment that's cold and unfriendly with someone who feels too authoritarian asking too many frustrating questions or not the right questions rather. It can feel really discouraging to be in counseling for a long period of time and have no idea what you've been getting out of it if anything at all. Dr. Langer is different. He is what counseling should be. He has very realistic and helpful suggestions. Helps you in using tools and skills you didn't even know you had. He always lets you know what you're doing right. I looked forward to going and I how to positive attitude for the remainder of the day after my sessions. That speaks volumes. I was comfortable instantly. The environment is welcoming.
