Dr. Yan Geng needs to be evaluated in whether or not she has the bandwidth for the clients she treats. She's unable to discuss more than a singular issue in an appointment after showing up into the room a half hour later. The other reviews on her competency lines up 110% with our experience. In past phone calls with office manager Dale R, he stated that Pioneer Family Practice has taken on too many clients per doctor, and the quality of client care absolutely shows that. Dale R refused to give his full name after yelling in our faces when we took a photo of Dr. Yan Geng's name on the wall, a spelling which is uncommon. We should've known taking a picture of our doctor's name would've resulted in being kicked out and Dale R's face becoming inches from ours. Good luck to any present patients, our now retired doctor told us to leave before the transfer to Dr. Yan Geng. We wish we had listened, it would have saved huge headaches and some hope for the future of Pioneer Family Practice

I really had to think hard about this review and honestly the more I thought about it the more…read morefrustrated I got. Initially I was very excited about this clinic because all the people were super nice and made me feel very welcome. Unfortunately after that initial impression it seemed like one issue after another. On my second visit, they gave my discharge paperwork to another patient, and gave me his. I noticed it as I was leaving but at that point the other person had already left. This is a pretty big HIPAA violation, I was willing to over look it, but looking back I should have ceased services. On my third visit they needed to draw more blood, the first time they drew blood the nurse that did it was excellent and listened to my needs however on this visit it was a different person. I attempted to explain how to get blood from me but was not listened to. After three people including the doctor digging around looking for a vein I was sent to a blood draw clinic and left with a huge bruise that didn't go away for almost a week. On my final visit the doctor wanted to talk about weight loss. I am a big guy and always have been, my health is perfect, but she was concerned. I explained that I was willing to explore this but I do not take drugs that are amphetamines or opioids because I am in recovery. The doctor assured me there would be options and suggested a drug with side effects that sounded very amphetamine-like, I expressed my concerns but felt like she wasn't hearing me. She said it wasn't and sent the script to my pharmacist. As soon as I left I looked it up and it sure was in the same family, with the same potential for abuse. I never picked up the meds As I left that time they asked to follow up in two weeks once I started the med. Because I never picked it up, I did not follow up. The appointment for follow up was on a Tuesday, I called the Thursday and Friday before leaving a message each time because no one answered, finally on Monday I got the receptionist and cancelled the appointment. Then I was charged a $50 no show fee. That was the last straw for me. I decided I would not go back. Not surprisingly a week later I got a bill for my appointments and the late fee and when I called to dispute it was told "it takes time to process insurance and the bill would not be changed" I was also told I had 10 days to pay it or it would go to collections. This hostility pissed me off. You give me repeated HIPPA violations and refuse to listen... It takes you weeks to bill me and you add on charges... but you want me to pay NOW. I don't think so. They can go ahead and send it to collections, it won't be the first or the last. That being said I recommend finding someone else. I went to Indigo after this and had just as friendly staff, quicker service, and was listened to when I shared my concerns.

Multicare has a major problem with answering phone calls for scheduling. They just don't answer the…read morephone! They let it go to voice mail that says they will respond within 48 hours. It must be nice to have a job that you don't have to answer the phone. Then when they call you they don't even leave a message letting you know you they called. So you have to call them again and start your 48 hours over again. All that just to schedule or change an appointment!! It is not acceptable. They really need to answer the phone and provide some service not give excuses. What is the problem Multicare?

I arrived early for my annual checkup with Frantz Alphonse, PA, and had filled out all the paperwork ahead of time online. I highly suggest this because it was probably the reason they got me in the exam room so quickly, like within 5 minutes after I checked in. I even got to meet my spouse's doctor, Dr. Steven M. Rudnick, MD, who was very nice and showed care and compassion for my spouse, who has been going through some recent extreme medical issues. I'm terrible with remembering names, but the woman who checked me in was very friendly, thorough, and very accommodating. She was fun to talk with, even while I waited a short while after my exam to get my blood drawn. The assistant who took my vitals was also friendly and very efficient in her work. The exam itself was very quick with Frantz, but he spent a good deal of time discussing my medical history and current issues, and finally, what the next steps would be. I really enjoyed meeting Frantz for the first time and look forward to his continuing care. The final step in my appointment was getting my blood drawn after I had fasted. The lady who drew my blood was very pleasant, fast, and there was no pain whatsoever! All in all, I felt like I was treated like family. I reviewed a lot of different places online before choosing this clinic that were within my medical plan. There are always people who complain about something. Not every person nor any business is perfect with everything, but I felt this clinic was the best for meeting all my needs. Thank you.

I really like how there is no waiting in a waiting room, you always go straight into an exam room. All the staff has always been nice and welcoming. For one appointment I even had to bring my 4 week old baby with me and they offered to have a nurse watch her while I had a procedure done if she woke up. Everyone seems like they really care about you and your health and work with you to figure out a plan. I love having all my medical records and I'm able to email my doctor's team through MyChart. It's very convenient and great for general questions. They have always gotten back to me within 24 hours. I've also called a consulting nurse for help. Overall, I've been very happy!

No front off staff member should be placed in a decision making capacity to provide a patient with or without access to healthcare for your loved one, especially the untrained and rude staff working at this facility. The back office is equally untrained. The last straw was when they disrespected my mother when she requested care. Imagine a young receptionist rudely telling off your elderly parent in a time of need. We've lived in Olympia for over 50 years and experience some of the most compassionate care in from many caregivers. Thank God for them. But, please be careful this clinic. Something is very broken.
