After over a year in her "care", I left and my new pcp diagnosed me with EHLERS-Danlos Syndrome. I just found out dr allen also has EDS. Thus this review. She assumed I was overweight bc i was too lazy to exercise, so she kept telling me I needed to take daily walks and build up my muscles even tho I constantly told her some days I can't get out of bed and with my very limited amount of energy and pain level, adding more activity would only make my life more difficult to manage. it was like talking to a wall and knowing now she has the same disease and was so dismissive is infuriating. I have been grieving the loss of some of my favorite activities: biking, hiking and generally walking everywhere. I have stopped bc of the toll they take on me not bc I am lazy. When I said I'd had some shortness of breath not long after the pandemic, she said "it's probably your weight" and changed the subject. I have a history of blood clots and found out later shortness of breath could be a symptom of a deadly clot in the lungs. That is neglect!. Even after things had been open from the pandemic for months, she still only did video visits and never once saw me in person. One of the worst MDs I've ever had.

I never felt that the other doctor truly cared after I suffered 4 miscarriages, the last ending in a tubal pregnancy that nearly killed me! I am partial to natural remedies already and after being dissatisfied with the former doctor and the care I began to research alternatives on the insurance website. To my surprise, there were two naturalpaths to choose from and Dr. Allen's credentials and experience matched what I was looking for. I call and am able to speak to someone, either the doctor or reception at least, the same day and both are extremely compassionate and friendly. I have always been able to see Dr. Allen quickly even during the epidemic where she is seeing patients through telehealth only. She has a very professional system in place to serve clients and I will never go to any other doctor as I have found my forever care here! Thank you Doctor Allen and staff for being the best in the area! I highly recommend this practice for all general medical needs.

There's so many wonderful reviews and I really need this service so I'm confused? Is Dr. Bilodeau still practicing? I haven't heard anything back from the number or email I've reached out to on her website.

I've been to her for acupuncture and herbs for about 5 visits so far and I feel so much better. Even after the first visit I felt a big improvement. At first I went once a week (my choice) then we'll be switching to every other week. She is the opposite of pushy, very mellow, so you pick if you want to come back in one week or two. I went to her for fatigue, stress, intestinal issues, etc. which is all greatly reduced now but I want to keep going to build even more of a sense of strength, stamina, and joy. Furthermore she even knows naturopath stuff like ordering blood tests, evaluating ones you've already gotten, food alergies & reactivities, food/diet suggestions, etc. I feel like she's my one stop shop for all my needs due to the fact that she's super knowledgeable w/eastern medicine but also definitely enough western medicine too. From her website and meeting her you can tell that she's the best kind of super-geek who has studied a ton and keeps studying, but all because she is driven to help people. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that she has an online booking feature on her website so you can see what's available and book right away. At this pt it's on the contact page, upper right corner has a "Schedule with us" icon. You can even just book a first meeting to talk but I'm experienced as a patient of acupuncture so I knew I wanted to start w/ an acupuncture treatment.

Because of my…read more27-year career and lifetime of martial arts training, my 54 year old body has some issues, such as rotator cuff and knee pain due to injuries and wear-and-tear caused by hard use. I have also experienced high levels of stress at times from both career and personal life (haven't we all?). Being a naturalist, I am reluctant to take the standard AMA approach to achieve overall well-being, unless necessary. There's nothing quite like a trauma surgeon when you need one (hopefully not) and there are some western meds that really do the job (NSAIDS) for severe, acute conditions. I once hit my shin very hard with a hose coupling when fighting a wildfire and it left me barely able to walk. My partner offered me some Advil and I said "I never take that stuff." He convinced me to try it and it worked very well, enough so that I was able to continue work virtually pain-free. However, most of the injuries and general health conditions I've dealt with over the years have been treated with natural and holistic medicine, along with some physical therapy. Inflammation, pain, and stress-related illnesses have been treated with herbs, acupuncture, and homeopathic remedies, Sometimes the healing period has been long, but I have been able to avoid pharmaceutical meds (with side effects) and surgery (which sometimes goes wrong for people). I feel great and really believe it is because I have found a health care facility with providers who work for me. Fred Klemmer is an outstanding acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine doctor who has worked on me for over twelve years and has helped me immensely to heal injuries and deal with stressful situations, with both herbs and strong meditative acupuncture. Dr. Tim Shannon has been a great help, also. He has been guiding me with my supplement regimen and has prescribed for me a successful homeopathic remedy, both of which have helped me find a balanced mind and body. I highly recommend Heart of Wellness as a health care facility where you will find skilled, knowledgeable, caring health care providers. Sincerely, Dale Heidal
