Her calm, understanding demeanor and approach to therapy helped me immensely, and she helped me feel very comfortable sharing personal information. Because of an insurance snafu, I ended up with a large balance owed after our sessions. Olympia Therapy was very understanding about the financial challenge this presented and did not pressure me to pay my balance off immediately. They offered me a payment plan, and did not send my account to collections after it took me many months to pay it off. When I eventually came in to make the payment, the receptionist showed genuine concern that I should continue in therapy if I felt like I still needed it. I told her that I could not afford to pay Katrina's rate with my lousy insurance and high deductible, and so she gave me options of other therapists at the practice that charged a lower rate. The people at Olympia Therapy have been nothing but kind, and with the new information, I think I will try another therapist there that charges a lower rate. I cannot recommend Olympia Therapy enough!

I worked Zeb Wilson, a counselor there for several months. He is supervised by Shauna Ericson, one…read moreof the office managers. After my last appointment when I clearly verbally stated that I was at my most desperate for help in my life and felt that nobody had my back, the office changed counselors on me without informing me as to why. All that work for nothing! And not only that, it felt terrible. This was a pivotal moment for me to say how desperate I was for help and this is how they dealt with it. I talked to the Prescriber there who said she would get me an explanation, and talked to the manager twice, but they still refused to give ANY explanation for WHY this happened. The counselor, Zeb, didn't even bother calling me to talk to me about this, or scheduling an appointment to discuss the change. Nope, he just had his boss call me. What a disgraceful move, but I guess this is what SeaMar Behavioral Health in Tumwater does with their clients. There is no accountability there whatsoever. And definitely no compassion. When I called and talked to Shauna Ericson, she asked me leading questions so as to make the counselor transition process easy for her (basically to be done with me and our conversation), but not easy for me. Once again SeaMar, you have failed your client. Thanks to the counselor, Zebedee Wilson for caring so much not to even bother with me again. I've had two different people who've read to me some of his notes. The first was when he wrote that he was using the Family Systems Theory in our sessions, but this cannot be so because Zeb knew so little about my family or origin, which is required in this theory, and he asked me so very few questions about my childhood. The second time is from my last appointment with him. He wrote that I was participating in an activity that was bettering my life that I hadn't been in a couple of months, nor did I talk about it at our last session and he knew all of this information. He also wrote that I've continued progressing in my treatment! Just wow. It turns out he wasn't even listening, let alone doing his job. Thanks for wasting my time and emotional energy, Zeb. Interestingly enough, you're stating in your notes to your supervisor that I am improving. I'd bet that all of your clients are "improving" then, so your paperwork must look really good. As a disabled person currently fighting to receive disability benefits due to many psychological issues but immensely struggling with it, it makes me ill to think that he is misrepresenting me (lying) in his notes/MY RECORDS in order to benefit him and his career, rather than to benefit his client and their mental health. He even made a point once via a small lecture on how he doesn't have time to learn about the disability process, when I asked him what he knew of it. Thanks again for being on my side so I can receive the help I need Zeb. I also found out from my Primary doctor that SeaMar called them because they thought I was "double-dipping" with my meds. Unbelievable! At no time have I ever given them any reason to think that I was taking extra meds without their knowledge. This happened at SeaMar Behavioral Health in Tumwater with Zeb Wilson and manager Shauna Ericson.

It feels like they're there to be there for themselves not to be there to help anybody else that is in severe of need. After I told him my true feelings about the situation they downright canceled me, therefore you're not allowed to express your true feelings around them. I had been looking for an EMDR therapist for some time and finally came across this company. When I…read morewas making my appointment I was told that if I wanted a female therapist I would have to wait much longer to see one. I honestly couldn't wait as I was dealing with the loss of my son and needed help badly, I just needed someone who could help me. Here we are over six months into my therapy and so much has changed. When I originally came in I had a list of things that I felt I needed addressed, and then we finished the first target of therapy. Something happened that I wasn't expecting. So many layers of my onion brain were slowly being peeled back and unfolding. I could not have made it this far without the help of my therapist James Truesdell. He has a soft, patient tone that is so comforting and easy during your healing process. He made me feel safe every time and was always concerned about my overall well being. I would see him time and time again, highly recommend.

I've been seen there for around 4…read moremonths at the time of this writing and this was in regards to medication management. my service provider has been very helpful, extremely knowledgeable as well as clear and concise in our dealings. why the low rating? it's all in regards to billing and payment. during the initial paperwork for intake I read the whole thing through and found that it stated they'd be keeping a credit/debit card on file and would bill services immediately, without any contact or providing a receipt. I get that no one wants to be left swinging in the breeze without payment but, this has bothered me every time it's come up. I've elected to pay cash with this business and they don't seem to have an immediate problem with that but, here it comes.... when they call to say your bill come to "insert amount here" and can we please have a card number to get it taken care of. I decline and say I'll bring cash over. then I get asked, "will that be today or at your next appointment?" and followed up with I'll add a note to your account. also, my insurance tends to take a few weeks to get the bill through the system and let the provider know what they can charge. this place has collected from me before that process has been completed. all of this just seems odd to me. if it weren't for the incredible interactions with my service provider I'd be going elsewhere because of the billing.
