We have a ceiling fan that is controlled remotely. Following a thunder storm that knocked out several digital devices in our kitchen we discovered it also knocked out the fan. We could not tell what was wrong since no breakers were tripped. I called JB Electric and had them come out and look at it. Ryan came out found that there was still electric reaching the fan and found out that the sensor in the fan had blown. He immediately went out to find a store that had a replacement. He came back shortly put the new remote sensor in and all was good and fine in no time at all. Ryan was friendly and did great work very rapidly. Never got the chance to experience service, I was shut down from getting an estimate. Not sure what happened. I called to get an estimate, as I have several items I need assessed, and set up a time. Then was told I actually required a service call and there would now be a charge, and a 2 week wait. It's a shame because there aren't many electricians in the area, and now I'll have to have search more. I guess you shouldn't call these guys unless you know exactly what you need done. They don't seem to do estimates. read more

I was out of state when the inspection of the house I was buying in Bowling Green turned up with a significant electrical issue, a sub panel in a bathroom. JB Electric worked with my realtor, came and looked at the problem and gave a reasonable estimate to move the panel. There was no charge for the estimate. After closing on the house, they again worked with my realtor and came and completed the work in one day prior to my moving in. I am grateful for their flexibility. The final cost for the repairs was not greater than the estimate. The staff were very courteous. Everything was great when I moved in. No mess was left behind. The paperwork was left where it could be easily found. I was billed after the work was completed and they were kind enough to allow payment after I my 2,000 mile move roughly 10 days later. If I need any other electrical work I will call JB Electric first. read more

The work that is done is quality. However the price and the personnel leave a lot to be desired. We have them in our home on several occasions. The price always varied, it wasn't always quoted up front and when asked question they were very evasive. We had multiple items done but the on that tipped the scales was we asked for a hidden outlet for behind the TV. When we asked about an outlet on top and bottom we were told to just run an extension cord through the wall. After finding out this frowned upon we called them back to have the second outlet installed. They charged us full price plus. It cost more for that one outlet then it did to have three fans installed. Buyer beware. read more

On the commercials, the lady is saying how nice J.B. is, and that's an understatement! He is incredibly nice! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to afford what I wanted to have installed (upgrade to double the amps in my house), but J.B. explained everything that would need to done in terms I could understand and gave me an honest estimate of what it would cost. Not to mention he showed up at exactly the time he was supposed to! Since I couldn't get the job done because of my champagne taste and beer budget, I can't vouch for workmanship, but was very impressed with everything else. I'll definitely call J.B. again when I need electrical work done. read more
