Driving around in Boston can be very confusing and stressful with the traffic and the tunnels, etc. It was such a relaxing experience to get the car service instead. We didn't have to schlep our luggage across a parking lot or change trains to get there. It was door to door service and the drivers happily helped us with our luggage. Plus toward the end of our cruise, we weren't feeling anxious about having to do the drive home, we knew we were in good hands! Both drivers we had were great. Both were excellent drivers- they were professional and friendly. The cars were clean and comfortable; they had bottled water for us for the ride. My ride got stuck in traffic. so I called a couple of taxi companies. They all told me 15 to 30 minutes to get to me. Which with travel time would take too long. I called Norwalk taxi and he told me the driver could be there in 5 minutes. I was skeptical of it but I said yes. I called my appointment and was not even done with the call (in less than 3 minutes the driver was there). I got in the driver was pleasant confirmed destination and we were on our way. Got caught up in traffic on Route 1 (not surprising). He indicated that we going to cut over and go on side roads due to traffic (not surprising for rush hour in Fairfield County). I suggested we make a different right turn. He thanked me and said I lived here so I knew better. And we were on our way. The taxi had a meter which made me feel like I wasn't being ripped off and other taxi companies gave a similar price when I called. I must say taxi prices are not cheap, but I haven't taken a taxi in about 30 years. I arrived to my destination on time, safe, and not stressed. The driver was calm, polite and professional with his driving. He didn't cut anyone off. Stopped at the yellow light instead of of flooring the gas to rush through the light. Didn't react when a school bus did not stop at a stop sign. I did and he explained that people run stop signs all the time and it doesn't impact our time ( and it didn't-we ended up right behind the school bus). Upon arrival to my destination I paid the driver, gave a 20% tip, he gave me my change and I disembarked. The driver wished me a good day, I did the same. I thought this was the end of the interaction and I wasn't going to write a review because I was a fine ride but nothing exceptional. Little did I know that would change. By the time my procedure was done my ride that was stuck in traffic had long since arrived. I got ready to leave and realized that my keys were missing. We checked the hospital (and they were no where to be found). So as a long shot I called the taxi company and yes the driver had my keys (huge key ring on a carabiner So I don't lose my keys- see how well that worked -need larger key ring). The driver was at the train station on the way home. I told the dispatcher that we would get them on our way home. He suggested I call to see where driver when near station. I called a while later as we approached the station. The dispatcher told me to go home the driver left my keys at many front door. I thanked him. Got a home a few minutes later and my huge key chain with keys remote and carabiner was attached to the knob on my front door. I don't even need to bend down. Way above and beyond. If I ever need a taxi again I wouldn't think twice about calling Norwalk Taxi. Honest and conscientious. Thank you for a job well done and for taking care of me this morning.

When I called the person on the phone couldn't give a valid excuse other than the driver took longer than expected, and I ended up getting to work almost 15 minutes late, despite calling almost an hour in advance. They sent a party bus, claiming their coach bus broke down; on, that's fine things happen, right? However, the party bus is not child safe, could not have babies in their car seats as was not able to hook up anywhere. And it all goes downhill from there.... 1. We had to take baby wipes to clean the inside as it was filthy!! Sticky, dirty, it was appalling. 2. The suspension on the bus needs to be checked. While holding onto the babies, we are being jumbled around the seats, often being bounced into the air. 3. The shades on the windows do not work, as they would not pull up and when we tried to they would get bunched up. 4. The wires for the lights in the ceiling were exposed, just waiting for someone to grab onto them. 5. We found opened bottled beverages all over the bus; water bottles and alcohol. Great for kids right... 6. We found broken glass inside the drink compartment and across the window sill. We cleaned it up to avoid anyone getting hurt. 7. When picking us up after vacation, the drive was an hour late. They claimed because of the storm the night prior, the driver was behind... ? Anytime we called for an eta we were given "12 minutes away," "6 minutes away," "20 minutes away," and so on. If you have to be somewhere at 9, leave early to accommodate traffic. 8. The driver was texting and driving!! When we called the company to report him, they immediately backed him up saying "oh he's using his gps on his phone." I have attached the photo we took of him to this post... very clearly texting as you can see the keyboard of emoji's and call button in the contact he's texting. When my grandmother wrote a bad review, they have now blocked her post and her from their Facebook page, AND started harassing her with texts and phone calls. Apparently the owner will be calling her on Friday to hear her out. But then why can't her post be up...? No wonder they have a 5 star review, they delete the bad ones. BE CAREFUL HIRING THIS COMPANY!!

During our holiday party, the driver refused to transport employees to pre-approved locations--despite written confirmation at the time of booking, which I retained. The three stops were all within half a mile of each other, and the venue itself was only three miles away, making the refusal both illogical and unnecessary. The driver was abrasive with our employees, and dispatch was equally unpleasant. While I understand the driver was following instructions, his tone and handling of the situation were entirely within his control and were unprofessional. The only resolution offered was removal of the driver's tip, which failed to address the broader issue of how the situation was managed by the team as a whole. Despite this, I gave Elite another opportunity for a Yankees game outing--and unfortunately, it was another poor experience. The bus's air conditioning was not functioning on the way down in 80-degree weather, making the ride extremely uncomfortable. We arrived at the stadium hot, sweaty, and exhausted. When I followed up the next day, the manager, Chelsea, was dismissive and unwilling to take any responsibility for the malfunctioning A/C or radio, citing that the vehicle had passed inspection prior to dispatch. She also questioned why I didn't report the issue immediately when the bus arrived, which was frustrating and misplaced. We were communicating with Ricardo (our very pleasant driver) how hot it was and he said it wasn't working properly. (Note: the bus arrived @ 4pm and I emailed them at 5:30pm.) The bottom line though is that it's unclear what could have been done mid-trip to resolve a mechanical issue, and placing that burden on the customer is unreasonable. There appears to be a consistent lack of accountability across the organization. The only remedy offered in both instances was removing the driver's tip, which does not address the root problems. The fact that their only proposed resolution is to remove the driver's tip is telling of how they treat their employees. This was an opportunity to make things right, but instead reinforced my decision not to use Elite again--and to advise others to avoid them as well.

I called and was told 5-7 minutes. 15 minutes later it was not there. I called again and was told the driver was around the corner and to be patient. I was told that I could wait or "just call an uber". The taxi company actually said this. The car never came. 40 minutes later the car was not there. The person answering the phones let the phone ring with every call. They saw the caller ID knowing it was me asking for the car. No answer at all. No taxi ever picked me up. I'm actually shocked at how bad this company is. NEVER use this taxi service.

Even if he went the non-slow route, it would have been twice what Uber charges. I would only use this service in desperation.
