Such a great mechanic - always friendly, knowledgable and fair! Jon, the manager, listens to concerns about your vehicle and can normally diagnose a problem and give you a price there and then! Always go there for my car's service and MOT. read more

Priory shopping centre

I love this little shopping centre it has everything I need for a good Saturday out shopping. First…read moreoff you can park in Sainsburys car park but it's always busy so you may have to wait. It's free for disabled blue badge holders in any bay. Alternatively there is on street parking around the other side of the shopping centre if coming in from where the old Zens nightclub used to be. There are about 6 on street blue badge bays here but no normal parking. Inside the centre there are many varied shops like the 99p store great for bargains as is Wilkinsons, then there's a great Greggs for getting some lunch, there's a cheap card shop, a thorntons, a Peacocks love that store, supadrugs, McDonalds (yuk), as well as much more ie shoes, household, small stalls, nail and beauty shops, furniture etc. Well worth a visit, plus there's an indoor market area with quite a few stalls selling pet foods, clothes, shoes, mobile phone stuff etc it's small but the stalls have been there years.

First time here in maybe a decade or so, I was surprised to find it had held up remarkably well..it hasn't dated that badly and doesn't feel like the poor neighbour to the recent Westfield Centres in West & East London. Writing this review on Nov 1st, I'd suggest (if you can) to avoid it from now until around mid January as it will heave, throng, and burst at the seams due to Christmas / January Sales... All in all you're holding up well Bluewater...

Bexley Lane Garage
I took my Mercedes GLE into this garage for a B5 service. I am new to the area so needed to find a…read morenew Garage. i was quoted £280 for the full service. i agreed and brought my car in a few days later. after dropping the car off i receive a phone call from the garage trying to upsell me a few other things (air conditioning recharge, Brake fluid replacement and back window wiper). this too me over my budget to £417.. ok fine do all the extra work. came in later in the afternoon to collect my car and pay. was told my dipstick handle was missing. This is strange because i never touch my dipstick to check oil, i get it serviced every year and oil changed by the mechanic so either they broke it or it was my previous mechanic. im dubious about it but decide to pay the £18 for a replacement. Friday evening my check engine light comes on. It has never done this before in the 3 years i have had the vehicle. engine light on directly after ive had a service at a new garage is suspicious. i wait till Monday to query them about it thinking they could have innocently left something out of place and would investigate/rectify. straight off the bat the person on the phone is denying that the two things could be linked. I'm no mechanic but even i know that there is a possibility the two things could be linked. Could it be a coincidence that all these extras are happening to my car for the first time at a new garage. yes its possible. Could it be that these things happening to my car generating extra income is the way the garage operate. more than likely, yes. ive been booked in for Friday for them to inspect the vehicle, but i am worried they are going to do more damage that is going to cost me more money in the long run. I think its better to cut my losses then take it into this garage. cut a long story short, dont be surprised if your car develops new problems after you've taken it here. its how they make extra money

It does not have to cost the Earth either. Entry is quite cheap, ranging from free for some race events up to £6 (which also includes a free race program to help you select your dogs). Once inside you are free to bet as much or as little as you want. Who knows, you may even walk out from the night with more than you started with. Most people only bet as little as a pound at a time. With plenty of betting outlets, you don't have to queue for long to place your bet. Everything is displayed clearly on the screen so that you know what is going on at all times. Once you have placed your bet you are able to watch the race outside by the track or if it's a little too cold and wet, then you can watch the race inside or on the screens. Food, mainly snacks like burgers, chips and hot dogs, and drink are available from he bar in the main area which are all available at very reasonable prices. If you wish there is also the facility to hire a private room with three course meals if you wish to eat too. All information regarding booking and menus are available on their website. Getting to and from the venue is easy. Crayford station is a short walk away or there is plenty of parking available in the carp park which it shares with Sainsbury's nearby.
