This is a family run business and the service and food are good. I visited once about an hour before closing and was told they didn't have any arepas, only empanadas. I was rubbed a little wrong and left. I came back several days earlier because arepas are hard to find and I was desperate.
The place wasn't kept up as well as I think it could have been. The sweet girl at the counter didn't seem interested in cleaning. Tables were dirty and needed cleared/wiped down.
I got a bit of sticker shock after seeing the menu. I'm used to paying $6-$8 for amazing arepas and theirs were priced much higher ($13-$15). I will say, the size is slightly larger than typically found at other places. If you're like me and usually get 2, you won't need to here. Be sure to use the green sauce. I know it doesn't look pretty, but I'd eat it on anything.
This place has potential, hopefully things are better on your visit - definitely give them a try. read more
