You'll pay, start with 5 laps, and a warm-up of jumping jacks, high-knees and so on. Then you'll split into groups of ~6-8 and start the real work-out. The day I went, it consisted of quick weight-lifting intervals done with makeshift equipment -- sand bags, heavy poles, etc. -- and/or body weight. I thought there was a good mix of upper- and lower-body focus. And my heart rate stayed up for most of the hour. Frankly, I thought the exercises could have been more challenging. But given the heat, and dirt, and bugs that come with working out outside, the less-intense level was kind of nice. The instructor offered some encouragement, and engaged with the group to keep us motivated, but also keep the mood light-hearted. There were about an equal number of girls and guys, and the group's fitness level was very diverse. So it's not too intimidating! Parking is kind of a pain-in-the-butt (my car got blocked in behind a few layers of late arrivals), but there's a neighboring lot that I noticed other people were spilling over into, so I'd recommend doing that.

My favorite classes are the extreme outdoor bootcamp and the full throttle class. At bootcamp you get pushed to your limits with burpees, hurdles, tire flipping, and more. I appreciate that it's affordable and you can walk -in without a membership (although they do have a membership option). Huge mistake as everything has gone downhill over the last 12 months. Equipment is consistently broken. Currently, in a row of 10ish cardio machines, 5 have been broken for weeks. Weight machines also consistently break. An excuse often given is that the equipment is old and parts hard to find. Here is an idea, if equipment is too old, consistently breaks, and hard to find parts, maybe get some new equipment? What is the excuse for a urinal and sink in the men's room being broken for weeks? I tried contacting management to no avail. There is also consistent turnover in staff, maybe because they advertise the front desk position at a whopping ten bucks per hour. would love to cancel our membership but they have us locked in conveniently otherwise we would find a new gym immediately. My 7 year old daughter has attended several events at Warrior Tech. Mostly, the evening kids…read moreclasses, but she has also been a drop in for a day at camp, and she went to a birthday party of a friend she met through Warrior Tech. In all three instances, I would give this facility a 5/5 review. What I appreciate most is how much the instructors (aka techs, aka trainers) care and the values they are emphasizing. Obviously they are looking to promote healthy habits through diet and exercise. But more than that, I am seeing them instill values of good sportsmanship and teamwork. Seeing my daughter cheer on the kids in her class and then seeing the other kids rooting her on....I just love it. And when I see one child helping another do a skill or obstacle, working together.... I have no words. Competition is not a bad thing. It definitely has its place, but the ability to work as a team is a far more valuable skill and one that may not come as naturally as competitiveness. The techs are passionate about what they are doing and seem genuinely proud when a child gets a little further up the warped wall then they did last time they tried. Or when a child has better form on pushups than he/she did the prior class. I love seeing the pride and confidence my daughter emits when she figures out a new skill and I feel that same pride and genuine positivity from the instructors as well. She has spent a good bit of time at Warrior Tech, but never gets bored. The instructors are so creative in setting up new obstacles, exercises, and games. I will say they can be strict...but only when it comes to safety and never without good reason. This is, obviously, not a bad thing. When these obstacles are potentially dangerous, I want safety emphasized and I'm grateful for a reasonable amount discipline in the pursuit of a safe environment. If my child were doing something that increases risk of injury (to her or someone else), I would rather her receive a few stern words than a broken bone. As far as the birthday party we attended, it was a great time. So much so, that I booked my daughter's party at Warrior Tech as well. If you have really young ones, I don't know that I would recommend Warrior Tech. I would say at least age 5 on up to adulthood. Honestly, I wouldn't mind having my birthday party here and from what I understand, they have hosted parties for adults! The kids were completely engaged in the activities during the party. Again, you felt the teamwork and camaraderie as the kids ran through the obstacle race with their friends chanting their name. The vibes here are just great! Positive energy. Enthusiastic and encouraging employees. Overall, a great place to work out and have some fun for both kids and adults.

It makes it less fun for the others who are there to get better at their skills. But, if your kid loves running, climbing, and all things ninja warrior, then this is definitely the right place!

It's very much so like a community and every single person that works there has been genuinely kind & helpful. They obviously tried to sell me a membership, but, duh. They weren't pushy about it and were super knowledgeable and helpful when it came to the options! Well, of course I gave in & glad I did! The thing I love the most is how the classes work. It's cardio, rowing, and lifting/floor intervals. You burn so many calories in the hour long class and it's actually fun. The music is always on point. On the administrative side, it's been less than stellar given early troubles with costume ordering. We followed details to a T, and as a first time dance mom was a bit neurotic. Costumes arrived and you not only had to melt her I to it, but craftsmanship was poor as there were visible tears in the fabric in multiple spots. Uncertain of what to do, I naturally turned to the dance studio front staff who were rude and basically said I must not have paid attention to the instructions. Needless to say, I was clearly on my own to find a remedy which was not only irritating and confusing but costly. On a side note, and maybe by design but the front lobby is always packed and boiling degrees given it's small cramped size.

Their teachers really understand and know how to work well with children. I'm amazed at the patience they have with the young age groups and how they can not only keep young ones engaged in a class, but also manage to have relative success in teaching them routines. When my daughter started at Starpath she had a hard time focusing and doing what the class was told to do, but after a few months she was focusing and following instructions better, memorizing steps and routines, showing off what she was learning to us at home, and having a blast with the music and activities incorporated in class. Students are awarded with stars and get a lot of encouragement. They performed their recital at the Carolina Theater. I thought my daughter would be shy on such a large stage, but the teachers gave them multiple opportunities to get a acclimated to it and had practiced with the students so much that they did great. I was so proud to see my daughter front and center in her group on stage performing her choreography and smiling brightly. She loved the experience and is now half way through her second year at Starpath. I love seeing her grow as a dancer and have a great time in class with her friends. The Starlight Tots and Starlight Kids classes have been a great foundation to develop her love of dance and music. Now when she dances, she performs the choreography confidently and really shines.
