Hair-cut: I have very long, fine hair and I wanted to add layers without thinning it out. Danielle did a fantastic job of cutting it so it looks great in the back and also framed my face beautifully. I also appreciated that when framing my face she did it based on where I normally part my hair. It is a pet peeve of mine when hairdressers insist on parting it down the middle when I never wear my hair that way. Up-do: I had no idea what kind of up-do I wanted. Danielle was great at asking questions like where I was going and what dress I was wearing to help me figure it out. She then pulled up an inspirational photo from pinterest and nailed it! She knew that my hair doesn't hold very well and kept that in mind, which was another huge bonus, as I am so sick of stylists telling me that it was going to hold b/c of some special trick they knew (it has never worked). She kept that in mind when curling it (over curling now so it's perfectly curled when time for photos) and in picking the bun style. My hair held all day and into the evening. Additionally, she had framed my face in such a way that once the curl was gone from my bangs, it still looked pretty. I strongly recommend her to anyone. She clearly had a strong fundamental knowledge of different hair types and excellent skills to boot.

I've done darker stretched root balayages as well as lighter balayages, with a tight root, which grow out very nicely and are low maintenance for busy (read lazy) ladies like myself. Duh it's not a private spa. They say that on the website where you book the appointment. I personally found people's background conversations calming as background noise and I liked the ease of just being able to pop in to get my facial and go. 2. They don't push products or services on you. At least not in my experience. When I booked, it asked if I wanted to consider any add-ons and I marked yes. During my session, my esthetician suggested one and we tried it. At the end of my session, my esthetician recommended two products and emailed them to me so I could decide later. They were specific to my needs and what I told her were my struggles. At check out, I was asked if I would consider a membership or booking ahead, but no one was pushy or made me feel uncomfortable. I felt super comfortable there the entire time! 3. Some yelp reviewers said they experienced break outs after. You take a risk of break outs with any treatment you try and it's why dermatologists warn people before getting a facial. I don't have very sensitive skin so I had no particular concerns. You can always ask them to not go as wild during the extractions. My experience: 1. I found my esthetician to be efficient, courteous, and attentive. I love the service she provided and I walked out of this facial more relaxed than I've walked out of full-body massages. 2. I didn't love the nano wand infusion and would probably skip it the next time I go. If you have the budget for it, try it, but I didn't feel much of a difference. 3.
