From my consultation on Feb 15th, 2024 to today, I've been walking on over to Bella Medspa every six weeks or so for laser hair removal sessions. I had a LOT of reservations about laser (cost, effectiveness, side effects, etc) but I also knew I needed a different solution for myself that was not constant waxing and sugaring and shaving. I was generously gifted a number of sessions at Bella Medspa and, now at the end, I can honestly say I wish I would have started the process years ago. I am SO, so happy with my results and am grateful for the team here for delivering on exactly what I wanted. That being said, there were some small hiccups along the way. - A change in management that lead to a near doubling of the cost of the particular treatments I was having done. I called management when this happened and they worked with me to put together a package where I could be grandfathered into the old rate by pre-purchasing sessions. This worked out since I ended up needing eight sessions to truly be "done" - but I found the rate hikes to be egregious. I believe the bikini line area went up from $75 a session (what I paid) to $120 a session. There is no price list on their website, which is just an SEO nightmare of trying to find real information through the obvious blur of search terms. - I didn't have the best experience with my initial technician who seems to no longer be working here. Pretty general answers to my queries, occasional call offs/appointment switching, etc. Nothing too crazy. Sarah, the new laser technician at this location, is truly so fabulous. She used to be at their other location so she's still super experienced, and answered all of my questions. She went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my results. She was also just super personable and someone I would go back to in a heartbeat if I decide to do additional areas in the future. A few other points of note and then I promise I'll wrap it up: + They do use ice but frankly I see it as a kindness since the process can be a little painful, especially as you move up in intensity. I had no adverse issues from the use of ice in the process (one reviewer here scared me a bit and this is a sign to be LESS online, people). I found the whole process to be overall MUCH less painful than waxing or sugaring start to finish. + Patience is key! The internet will say 6 sessions could be it but I would expect more like 8 or 9. You likely won't achieve full results for a year but I promise it's worth it. + Room here was always clean and I was literally in and out for every appointment, aside from the initial consultation, within 10 minutes. + Appointment booking system could not be easier. I always booked six weeks out at my previous appointment and could reschedule via text. I once completely forgotten I had been on antibiotics prior to the appointment (note: you cannot get laser if you've been on antibiotics in the last two weeks) and they let me cancel day of with no penalty. Things like that go a long way! One year worth of appointments = one long review. Overall: this is a great spot to get your laser treatments done for the price I paid. read more

LGBT AND GENDER DISCRIMINATION I made an appointment here for a brazillian which they advertise on their website. They booked my appointment and then the next day they cancelled on me saying they won't perform that service for males. When I asked why, the lady on the phone said it is because all of their employees are female. I was offended and it made me feel as if I had done something wrong. They should hire laser technicians who have recognition of patient professionalism. I understand if a specific laser tech is uncomfortable treating a specific area, but it is the job of the spa to hire based on this. I have been to another med spa that offered the same service and I was treated by a woman with no issues. They should view their patients as a treatment area, not as an intimate area. I originally discounted the bad reviews about customer service but I didn't expect to be discriminated against based on my gender identity. read more

I had laser hair removal done at the Newtown location about 3 years ago. I spent over $1,000 and it did not work. The pain was above and beyond what I now know the level should be, and the technician came off as lazy and rude. The fact that they use ice is odd - I have been told by other technicians since that ice should never, ever be used. Ridiculous. Please go elsewhere. read more

The front desk even gave me a heads up call on the day of my appointment to warn me of traffic due to the Philly Marathon. I love Michelle. She explains everything she's doing, and is so gentle with the injections. Prices are reasonable also. I looked in the mirror this morning after having Voluma yesterday and I'm thrilled with the results. I also had Botox in my brow area two weeks ago and the results were amazing. I had to go back to have an area above my eyebrow tweeked and Michelle fixed it immediately. I want to preface by saying that I love Michelle and she's always so friendly and great. Love love her. So the stars for this review are just for her. That being said I'll begin my review about the establishment itself. I have been a loyal customer for about two years now and I feel like it's about time to part ways. Mainly due to the fact that booking an appointment here has become more of an inconvenience than anything. I booked an appointment a two months prior with Michelle only to find out closer to my appointment that she wasn't in, even though I specifically requested her. Kind of annoying but okay i rescheduled for a different time and even took off work. I come to my appointment only to find that once again Michelle wasn't working that day and NOBODY at the center thought to even notify me even though in my appointment notes it shows I clearly requested her. THEREFORE I TOOK OFF FROM WORK FOR NO REASON. I was livid especially after waiting over a month for this appointment. To make matters worse, Michelle is the only person who can even do her job so not only was the person I specifically requested not there, they didn't even have an option B. So I used my PTO from work for what? Unfortunately even though I do love the staff at the Rittenhouse location, I probably won't be coming back anymore due to the staff of bellamedspa as a whole. I bought six treatments for laser hair removal here through a living social deal. Each treatment was extremely painful. I have never felt so much pain before. She used ice cubes on my skin while using the laser gun. I could hardly walk afterwards. Then I would come home and drink a glass of straight vodka because I was in so much pain. I highly doubt that the technician was even qualified to use the machine. I found a real spa that does hair removal, and it is not painful at all. She was appalled when I told her that bella medspa uses ice! She said she had never heard of that before. Do yourself a favor and pass on their "deals" and go to a real place. They should have up to date machines where ice cubes are not used! read more

Five months ago I paid $1000 to have cool sculpting done on my neck. At the time they said that they could freeze fat way and if it doesn't work the first time they can retreat, what they don't tell you is the system does not work the first time and they do not retreat for free the second, third and forth times, they want to keep charging you and will use every excuse in the book to tell you why it didn't work for you. They keep claiming that it wasn't their machines BUT YOU. I would strongly suggest that everyone run from this Company They are nothing more than a snake oil salesman trying to separate you from your money. You have been warned.... read more

I am about 2/3 of the way through a 9-12 session bikini line laser hair removal treatment at Bella Medspa and am very pleased with the service and results so far. I wanted to purchase the package of treatments for ~$650 as part of a pricing special they were doing over the winter, but I was nervous about committing for the full set of treatments in case my sensitive skin hated it. They were willing to let me pay the price of a single session for the first treatment, but then apply that to the package price if I went forward, which I did. The front desk staff is pleasant, and I like that they call you with an appointment reminder. I have had two different laser techs so far, and both have been friendly and professional. The procedure is not something I would do just for fun, but it is really not THAT painful. If you say that something hurts, they happily slow down or apply more ice. I have never done laser hair removal before, so I can't compare Bella to anywhere else. However, I feel that I am getting friendly service and good results at a very competitive price. read more

I visited Bella MedSpa for Botox about a month ago and I could not be more pleased with the results. From the initial consultation to the injection, I had a very positive experience. The office is upscale, with well-appointed treatment rooms and in a great location. I was easily able to get a convenient appointment after work that fit into my schedule. The office staff and nurse injectors were pleasant and professional. During my consultation, every aspect of my treatment was explained to me prior to injection. On the day of my visit, Bella MedSpa was doing a Botox event, so I was able to see demonstrations and ask a lot of questions before going in, which was really informative. I was treated by Marcy who listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. I felt that I was in competent hands. The pain was minimal and exactly what one would expect from an injection. I had no discomfort or side-effects following my visit, but I was told to contact them anytime if I had any concerns. I would absolutely recommend Bella MedSpa to anyone looking to have Botox in a safe, comfortable, no-pressure setting, especially first-timers! I WILL be going back! read more

I went here twice for Botox. I was very happy with the results. During the second Botox treatment I inquired about getting fillers to decrease the dark circles under my eye. The injector told me I needed to treat two areas of my face to receive the results I was looking for, I made an appointment and returned a week later. I paid 2200 and received ZERO results. I returned a week later and was told that I didn't need to get both areas treated, that it was not necessary. I was told there was results. I look at my face every day. There was ZERO results. I requested multiple times to have the owners email address. They keep saying they were sending it but I never received it. Finally they told me to email the spa and to address it to the owner. The owner did not respond. I would never go back here and risk not getting the treatment I paid for. It seems a bit fishy to have zero results after pay 2200! read more

Even with 6 weeks between appointments, she always remembers little things from our past conversations. That makes the pain a little more bearable. I don't have another laser hair removal company to compare, but I had 11 treatments for male Brazilian. Painful, yes, I was okay with that. They advertise that it will remove most of your hair within 6 treatments. 11 later, there is still plenty left! A little lighter, but nothing close to gone. Paid $1,100 for myself and $1,000 for my girlfriend. I called the office to see if they would back their guarantee, and pretty much the rep said keep coming back for more treatments or leave. I had to relocate to California, so $1,100 later, I still have plenty of hair left. I wouldn't recommend it. read more

What a great place! The location is great (I got a parking space about 1 block away). The people were so nice, and professional. I went for an IPL treatment, and Lauren was really good. She was patient, explained everything she was doing, and did her best to minimize any discomfort. The place is larger than it looks, and everything was spotless! I really do like this place for Botox but I'd say that would be about it. I went to the Chester Springs office for Radiesse and although my appointment notes had indicated beforehand I wanted Radiesse they were out of the product after I was told I could have it while sitting in their office....I don't think any company offering and promoting services should be out of something which they advertise and for that reason I am giving them two stars. Also, while I was getting injected for Botox a man who was outside (fyi: this man was not affiliated with Bella Medspa) came into my room since the side door was not locked! I ended up getting a single syringe of Restalyne Lyft spread all across my cheeks along with 15 units of Botox. After, I asked the nurse if in the future I could come back for Radiesse in future months and the nurse didn't want me to come back for Radiesse in the future months which I thought was a bit odd. She said I looked good and seemed to not want me to come back for that product. I am 35 and have had injections in the past which were done off and on the past few years. I also am aware of how little product is in 1 syringe (its about a cube of sugar on most syringes which is not much when spread out on the face like an area of the cheek to be frank). The nurse injector is super sweet and really nice and she does good Botox along with other great services I'm sure of as well, but overall the place in my opinion is not extremely professional and is disorganized. read more

Update: I went to another place... and they used this GEL that they applied to the skin and you didnt even feel anything. I can't believe how much pain I used to be in after Bella, because all they did was use ice. I told the technician that and she was shocked! Seriously. Also, they were even cheaper than Bella. This is a terrible place for lazer removal. I went to the Rittenhouse facility, and bought a package for 6 treatments. Each time I went they had a new and different person treating me, with no idea of my previous treatment. They lost my paperwork, kept me waiting, and were rude when I complained. When I called up their head office, they offered to refund my money but never sent in despite many reminders. Go there at your own risk! read more

This is the biggest lie I have ever read as a follow up by Bella MedSpa. I must say as far as contacting family members, their phone number was listed on yahoo under Bella MedSpa to contact them. If you do not want to be contacted, take your number off the site! They are being investigated for their practices. And yes, you may call it irrational - I call it very upset at the fact you could be so unprofessional not to call back and be so rude! i went here for the first time last week. had some "maintenance" i needed done. they offered $100 off first time clients, so that is what made me choose bella, but it was really nice.the facility is small, but very clean and cute. the ladies there were funny and sweet. no one tried to force me into things im just not ready for yet. baby steps im taking with the injectables. i "liked" them on facebook and i see they have many specials running. if youre looking around for someone to do the stuff we dont openly talk about, like botox or laser hair removal, you should give this place a try. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! My experience with Bella Medspa has been by far the worst experience I have ever had with any company. I made an appointment to have 2 areas of coolsculpting done. They cancelled my appointment THREE TIMES with less than 24 hours notice. I have a job, as many of us do, and I took off work to have this done, and they couldn't have cared less about not only the inconvenience, but my hours lost at work. Like an idiot, I decided to still have the coolsculpting done by them... I would have let this go, except I just had my 3 month "check-in" and had barely any results. They say you will see a 25% decrease, and I saw, maybe 5%, and the lady who did my check-in agreed with that. They are not offering to do any other treatments or refund me in anyway because "that's why they had me sign the waiver". DO NOT GO TO THEM. I used a Living Social coupon for an IPL facial at Bella MedSpa at Rittenhouse Square. I've had this procedure done before, multiple times in several offices. Every aspect of my visit was handled with professionalism, friendliness, and courtesy. Debbie called me back promptly, scheduled my appointment, called to remind me, and did so in an easy, affable way. Natalie did the procedure with confidence, was so nice and pleasant. She did a great job and even by the next day I could see improvement. The office is clean and well equipped. The laser used, a Palomar, is state of the art and a very effective, user friendly tool. I will return and this is a case where offering a discount to entice customers worked very well. I do recommend this place to folks who are looking for IPL, I cannot comment on the laser hair removal, Botox, or other services (I get my Botox at a doctors office, which I think all should do for best results)...,but as for a nice place with nice people, Bella MedSpa is indeed one of those! read more

Went to Bella medspa for laser hair removal and was burned! During the laser treatment I told the technician it hurt and she did not turn the machine down and continued. I was immediately in excruciating pain. Had to ice my face for 4 hours after the treatment. I was then left with brown/ purple spots all over the treated area of my face. I was in tears. Couldn't go out. Couldn't take my kids to school. Bella medspa's reply was that this happens sometimes. And they were sorry. No offer for my money back or to pay for my NOW dermatologist bills! Months of treatments I am now going to have to receive to try to get my skin back to normal. Do not ever go here. The techs are inexperienced! They obviously have no real medical training. If you want laser hair removal...go to a REAL doctor. read more

I originally tried Bella MedSpa in Newtown, Pa. because of a Living Social coupon. I read reviews, did research and "went for it". I started with Botox to rid myself of the "11" between my brows that made me look angry. Dr. "Sam" is a wonderful, caring physician that never pressures you and never rushes you. The Botox made me look so much better, and when it eventually wore off...I went back for a second time. I also tried Radiesse derma filler for deep lines around the mouth. This was a little scarier to try, but the results are instant, and in Dr. Sam's capable hands, you look natural, not over-done. I felt prettier and younger when I left the office. The first couple of days, you feel "lumps" under your skin, but they aren't visible...and they go away in a short amount of time. Yes, Radiesse is expensive, but it lasts 9 months or more, so I believe it's worth it. After you do your research, speak with Dr. Sam....and give it a try. read more

I went to the Rittenhouse location on two different occasions for facial treatments. I wanted to have my skin look as clear as possible for my wedding. I have has acne pretty much from the womb so I have scars along with active, gross pimples. I was not using any topical treatments at the time. I had two Rejuvenize Peel's and I really loved the results. My skin reacted as expected, it peeled for one day and was red for about two, but by the third day it looked way clearer and smoother. I went again about a month later and was really impressed with how much better my skin looked. I always wear makeup but I finally felt like I didn't need a heavy coating of foundation because I had less visible scarring on my cheeks and neck. The woman who did the facial for me was super nice and we talked during the treatment. She made sure I was comfortable before leaving the salon and that I wouldn't feel weird walking around center city with my face being kind of red. she applied a moisterizure and helped me look as normal as one can after a chemical peel. Everyone was polite, friendly and helpful! The salon was clean and uncluttered and I felt very comfortable there. read more
