Jazan is handled by a two women team and it's not the big chain massage chain. before the actually massage, Jasmine had a brief consultation with me to explain what she does and what my needs are. She was extremely thorough and made sure she covered all of my need in the visit. The massage was AMAZING! she covered all of my sore spots and even discovered spots that i didn't even know was sore! i work out a lot, 5days/week so i have sore shoulders and upper back, Jasmine really focuse of the issues I mentioned and even more as she massages thru my body and during the entire massage she would explain she was doing and where she was touching and if there are discomfort, she would warn me in advance. I cannot express how professional and knowledgeable Jasmine was and I will definitely return to see her and/or her partner. Note: this is not of the fluffy massage, this is a real true massage place that will be painful to some. No pain, no game kinda place. read more

Bought a Groupon for a 90 minute massage at Jazan's, after seeing the good reviews here and elsewhere. After checking her online schedule and seeing her availability, I emailed to set up my appointment - specifying I would like Jazan as my masseuse - as her schedule for that evening was wide open. I was booked with Michelle instead. And was told Jazan was unavailable. Even though her schedule was clearly open on her own website. After some backtracking, she tried to explain that someone had "just booked" the appointment and offered me another weeknight. At that point, I knew she was trying to give me a less experienced person because I had a Groupon and then lied about it. I hate being treated like a second-class citizen just because I have a Groupon... especially one that I paid $83 for! And, I was so thinking that this would be my go-to masseuse right by my office that could do the deep tissue that I like. Do not purchase massage services from this person. It is a scam. You will get billed immediately, and you will never hear from them again. You will not even get so much as a text message. They aren't present at the address in Manhattan where they claim to do business. I had to write to Groupon and get Amex to initiate a fraud investigation and reverse the charges. Maybe one or two these reviews are real, but I suspect they are mostly fake. I am not a frequent commenter on these sorts of things but this was such a blatant fraud I feel compelled to warn others. I really didn't want to have to leave a negative review but Jasmine/Jazan leaves me no other choice. I had interacted with Jasmine in the past and she was professional, not the case this time around. I purchased a Groupon for a 75 minute massage for my husband. He works a lot of hours and I logged into the Jazan appointment portal in August and made an evening appointment for him on October 8th at the Lynbrook location on a Tuesday. Yes that is correct, the appointment was made 2 months in advance!! I received a confirmation number from the portal of 100419486177. I texted her on 8-19 and 10-2 to reconfirm and she never called or replied to my texts. On 10-3 I finally got her on the phone. She explained she was having trouble with her portal and had "lost" her reservations but did not apologize for not getting back to me. However, she assured me the portal would be up and running the next day Friday the 4th. I asked her if the existing appointments would come back up once the portal was restored and she said YES! On 10-8 in order to make his massage appointment, my husband skipped a very important business meal with his team and boss who was in from out of town. He arrived at 7 for his 7:30 massage. At this time, I sent her 5 text messages and called her 3 times, my husband tried reaching her as well. He waited an hour, she never showed or called or texted back, not that day nor the next day nor since October 8th to offer and explanation. We are very disappointed, especially since he missed an important business meal. Jasmine asked where I'd like her to focus on but completely ignored "focusing on", instead she went though every part of my body using same technique- it's like she is massaging according to a book, totally ignoring the customer's condition. So what's the point of the chat before the massage? After the massage she tried to tell me about my condition, and from my experiences I can tell she doesn't know what she is talking about and was just trying to appear professional. Because you can't just tell a customer's particular body part is "tense" and needs more attention just because the customer became very tense when you are working on that area!!! What kind of conclusion or advice is this??? If you don't know how please don't try to give meaningless advice. I've been to many massages and know for sure that if you are looking for serious massage, this is not the place to go. I had a 60 min massage session at Jazan's. My masseuse, Jasmin was very pleasant to talk to and she asked questions in advance such as if there were specific areas I wanted focused on and areas not to work on. It was an enjoyable session and while occasionally painful (the good kind) my massage was also very relaxing once most of the knots were worked out. The decor was a bit lacking, no frills or essential oil aromas but calm and clean. The room is dimmed and a comfortable temperature. Since it was the summer when I went the AC was running. I did feel the air was rather dry and a humidifier would have added a bit more comfort IMO. Also, I felt the location was a bit tricky to find. There is no sign on the door (or prior instructions) to the place which says Jazan's Massage so for a second I thought I might have gotten the wrong building. read more

They cannot read nor decipher fine print. I bought a 2nd Groupon (6 months after the 1st) for $79 and the woman flat out refuse to let me use it because the fine print stated "limit 1 per customer" and according to her that means you may only purchase 1 in your lifetime. I tried to explain that the meaning of that phrase means that I may not purchase 5 at a time but her ignorance and hostility prevailed. Even Groupon admitted that she IS WRONG. I saw reviews on Yelp and was convinced that this massage place is very good. I went with my boyfriend yesterday for Valentines Day and it was one of the best massages my boyfriend and I ever gotten..the staff are the most professional masseuses I've ever seen, they were so nice and friendly, and most importantly gave the most relaxing and best massages ever...My boyfriend had the deep tissue massage and Jasmine focused on areas that needed attention and work, he was very pleased and felt like a brand new person. I bought a groupon MONTHS ago and when I realized it expires in three days, I emailed and called; Jasmine got back to me immediately and got me in, an hour later! The spa is clean and pretty and the employees are all very kind and friendly. This was one of the best massages I've ever received, from the moment I scheduled the appointment to the time I left (looking like a hot mess), the customer service was above and beyond. Where do I start... The Logistics: 1) I bought a groupon (being pretty worried as to what I would receive) because I really needed a massage asap. After I bought it, I went online to check their website, and to my disappointment nothing was available for the next day (I mean it when I said asap). However, my luck would change... 2) I emailed Jasmine and noted my availability including the following day and asked if she could please somehow fit me into her schedule. BOOM, within 5 minutes, she responded and could take me at the time requested. I then asked to push back the appt 15min because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to make it out of work in time - instant response, no problem. Immediately, I received an email confirmation of the scheduled appt. 3) The day of, I realized I could make it out in time, and emailed her to see if I could come in 15min early (to the original time) - yes, I know, super annoying. She replied within 15min and confirmed that the original time would work as well. SUPERB! The Actual Massage (90min Deep Tissue) 1) We have a brief discussion in regards to what's happening with my body, certain areas I wanted worked on, and/or if she could work on certain areas longer than normal (which could take away time from other areas), any areas I didn't want (I told her my face), etc... 2) Talk about deep tissue. She basically kneaded in between every muscle group. It's one of those massages where you couldn't fall asleep because you had to keep breathing deeply every time she applied pressure or you felt like you would break in half (in a GOOD way). Then again, I did tell her I liked firm/hard pressure. 3) She worked the kinks in my back, shoulder, upper glut all the way down to my toes, and even my head. Needless to say, I didn't think 90min was enough!! Afterwards, I just had to pay the tax. I realized then that I had 20% tip ready for what was the discounted rate (this is what was listed in the confirmation email). Ashamed, I told her the situation, and she was more than appreciative and understanding of the situation (as I had no extra cash on me...). I told her she could charge the extra % on my card, however, she told me not to worry about it. Overall, I'd highly recommend Jasmine for all your massage needs. If I could leave zero stars, I would. I have NEVER, not ever left an establishment without leaving a gratuity. Until today. I have a pretty high threshold for disappointment. That said, I had the absolute worst massage experience of my life at this establishment. I get massages regularly and I have been to many, many massage places in my lifetime. Literally from the second I walked through the door at Jazan's i felt uncomfortable. 1. When I entered, Sharron stood up from behind the desk and looked at me like she was expecting me to say something. I introduced myself by name and she just looked at me and said, "and?" I am not a mind reader. In my experience if you want a question answered you have to ask a question. 2. My hair had been pinned up and I had loosened it. She asked me why I did that.I told her it was in case shewanted to work on my scalp. She asked me to put it back up and stated "I can't handle all that". When it wasn't pinned up to her liking she said, "listen to me, you're not listening to me". 3. She gave me plenty of unsolicited advice throughout my massage regarding how my body should look. Nothing says relaxation like being criticized from head to toe while laid out on a table in your underwear! 4. After feeling calluses on my feet she gave me unsolicited advice regarding footwear I should be wearing and told me that these are things that I should know because I'm a medical professional. 5. The actual massage was so jerky and that I really could not believe that she was a licensed massage therapist which she claimed to be. The simple fact that she felt that she had to say that just added further doubt. There was zero technique in her work. The whole experience was just crazy. I just laughed to myself because I was so shocked at how little she cared about getting a gratuity at the end. So, I didn't give her one. read more

I Had a great deep tissue massage with Sharron! She had a great energy and flow while working on me. I'm a big guy at 200lbs at 5'10 and well muscled from lifting for 20 years. Sharron's hands were really strong and she got right into my problem areas and opened them up. At times it was painful (a good kind of pain) and at other times I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep! My first review ever... I've never been into writing reviews but Jasmin truly deserves it. I found Jazan's on Groupon in October of 2014. I was in desperate need of a very good sports massage since I was suffering through shin splints and was in training to run the TCS NYC Marathon November 2nd, 2014. So with two weeks before my big race I was in so much pain and went to see Jasmin. She is a sweetheart, very friendly and outgoing. I have to say I'm not too social and don't talk much but Jasmin made me feel comfortable, easy to talk to and likes to put a smile on your face. Even using the groupon and amazon deal she treated me like any other customer and helped with tips on what to do after. Jazan's is a nice cozy small place in a perfect location in midtown. My first sports massage with Jasmin was painful but extremely rewarding, which is exactly what I needed. Jasmin is very knowledgeable in what muscles to work on and made sure my muscles were loose by the time I was done. I've been to many sports and deep tissue massages but they were all too gentle and not really getting into the muscles in order to release them. I was sore for two days after but I noticed my shins were not hurting anymore and right there I booked my next one a week after. Jasmin helped me stretch and made my body perfectly loose to run the NYC Marathon. I have to say she saved my legs because I had thought I wouldn't be able to run the marathon if my shins continued acting up. I finished the marathon all because of Jasmin. Since then I've been going to Jasmin before every race and she is a total life saver!!! I recommend her to everyone wanting to get there muscles loosen the correct way. I had my first massage experience (deep tissue) with Jasmin and, I day later, I feel like at new person. Jasmin is professional, attentive, patient with newbies, and a great listener. Although I didn't have anything to compare it to, her technique was flawless, sometimes painful, but nonetheless absolutely amazing, a head-to-toe amazing experience. She answered any questions I had and was quite knowledgeable. I cannot relate to some of the other reviews I read; Jasmin definitely provided soft lighting and music.
