My wife and I…read morewould HIGHLY recommend Sheds By Design to anyone interested in getting a high quality, customized shed made to order and delivered/installed on site in your backyard. We recently moved into a smaller house in an effort to downsize, and needed some extra storage to accommodate all our junk. After an extensive search, my wife found Sheds By Design, based in Cleveland, NC. We live in Winston-Salem, so they were a bit out of the way. But we traveled to their facility and were impressed by Silas's professionalism. He showed us several models and options, and then reviewed our site online to ensure that installation wouldn't pose any problems. Later, his brother, Mercer came out to inspect the site in person, again to make sure they could deliver the completed shed without any issues. About a month after our initial meeting and payment, Mercer and yet another brother, Miles, arrived and delivered the shed as promised. In about two hours, they had it in place right where we wanted. They had to slip the shed (8' x 20') through a narrow 10 foot gate opening. In the midst of doing this, our metal gate scrapped one side of the shed and caused some very minor damage. Mercer and Miles promptly repaired it on the spot, and to this day, I can't tell where the damage was. Once the shed was in place, they leveled the structure out on our sloping lot. All three brothers were very professional and courteous. For the price we paid, Sheds By Design delivers an exceptional value. Again, my wife and I would recommend them to anyone. As I said before, they're a bit out of the way. But this is not really a barrier, as they bring the finished product to you, at a very competitive price.

Sales manager Lisa called the day they were supposed to begin and said they would not be out until…read morethe next day. The builder (Dave) shows up the next day and it had rained the night before so my wife tells him that he cannot back his trailer onto the grass because we don't want tire ruts in the grass we're trying to establish. The guys sits in the driveway right under the security camera which also has voice recording complaining and dropping F bombs about not being able to back up to the fence gate. After about 3.5 hours of carrying wood and tools to the back yard and taking a ridiculous amount of smoke breaks, he leaves and doesn't come back. My wife calls the office to see if he just went to lunch and will be coming back or not. She doesn't hear back from them and calls back after a couple of hours. They tell her that they can't get ahold of him. Fast forward to day 3 of what was supposed to be a 2 day build of an 8x12 shed, the guy has only worked 3-5 hours a day. I understand that it's summer in NC but maybe send second person to help him. Anyway, he leaves on day 3 after about 3 hours and leaves everything out, no roof on the shed and it's supposed to rain that night. I call and talk to Emily. She says she only answers the phone but will pass it on when everyone gets back from lunch and someone would call me back. She calls right back and asks if I want them to send someone out to put a tarp up to protect the untreated lumber inside the shed. I say yes and about 30 minutes later, two guys show up and put a tarp on and put everything inside the shed. Nobody else called back to address my concerns about why it's taking so long. On day 4, I drive to the Gastonia office where I purchased the shed and tell Cory that I'm not happy about being ignored. He calls Lisa and says that I'm in his office to inquire why nobody called me back the previous day to address my complaints. The only thing I get is "he'll be finished today, and at this point, what do I want her to do for me?" I say I think I deserve some sort of rebate or discount. She offers me $100 off. SERIOUSLY? They start a day late, take over twice as long as it should have taken and she expects $100 off of a $3,700 shed is going to make things right? Maybe if they had done something with the guys attitude the first day when we complained about it which continued on security camera for more than the first day, then I would be a little more empathetic about him working by himself and taking longer. I get home from my unproductive trip to their office and the builder is sitting in his truck. He tells me all that he still has to do and that he would be back the next day to finish if that's ok. He doesn't work for me so I tell him to do what he has to do. So now they're going to spend 5 days building this shed. I would absolutely NEVER recommend this company. They don't care about their customers or their employees. You cannot treat your customers this way and you cannot expect your senior employees (63 years old from what he told me) to work by themselves in this type of heat and get things done on schedule.

Pineview Buildings is a dishonest company with many internal communication and integrity problems…read more I had been renting a building and fell behind on my payments when a family member got sick. They came and took my rental building, while no one was home, without calling, and with all of my property in it. I called the very next day to inform of my intent to pay and set up a payment date. I told the woman when I was going to be able to pay, and I was told that it would not be a problem. Nothing was ever mentioned during this call that about only having 15 days to make a payment. In fact, the day that we agreed on paying was beyond the 15 day period. Yet, again, nothing was said about them taking ownership of my property. On the original agreement date to pay my back balance I called to regretfully extend the payment date. Again, nothing of my property being relinquished was mentioned. I did this two other times, and again, nothing was ever mentioned about my property. I paid my back balance, and a re delivery fee, assuming that, as I was told originally, my property would still be in the building. I paid for them to redeliver an empty building. All of my memories, tools, dishes, daughters clothes and crib, things that I cant get back.. gone. Taken by this business's employees rummaging though and taking whatever they want. The exact words used by Leon Helmuth were "we let some of them them [employess] go through it, some of it was thrown away, and some of it was sold." but did not keep a log or any type of record of what was sold or given or thrown away. That is very unprofessional. Why wasn't I told during this 4-5 calls that my property would be taken? Why wasn't I told when I called to pay the back balance and told the gentleman that I wanted redelivery of my rental building AND property? It was nearly two weeks from the time I paid up to the time I had to reach out (for the second time) about redelivery. Were they giving away and selling me property during those nearly two weeks? The communication internally and with customers is non existent. There are two different companies and if you try to call them they bounce you back and forth between the two until you get put with someone who doesn't know how to properly handle the call and made a claim that was not kept. And after a conversation with the delivery driver while bringing the building back, he told my wife that we were liars. That we never called to arrange repayment. That we never called back periodically to update. So in conclusion, the rental company parent company do not communicate with each other, and because of that they have Pineview employees in possession of my daughters clothes, my family heirlooms and tools. I'm still waiting to be sent a copy of my rental agreement. I would also like contact information for your regional or district manager as well as contact information for your parent company. Please reply in a timely manner.

We received a quote from Gino, which seemed fair in price, but after leaving, I knew I couldn't buy from him. One of the worst things. I hate as a customer is trying to be the one trying to make the sales experience pleasant. We walked to the grounds, looking at the different units, and Gino came out and looked more like the security guard trying to figure out what we were up to ; no hello or anything. I was wearing work clothes and had a T-shirt that I got in Wisconsin in which he read and said Wisconsin, huh? and after that, his arrogance and inability to smile was so thick that it was almost Uncomfortable. My wife kept nudging me saying I don't like this guy. I told her I'm not buying him. I'm buying a garage but after leaving, I knew she was right. I cannot give my money to somebody who makes me feel like I'm wasting his time or not good enough for his product. My garage will be coming from somebody else.
