A local artist suggested I use Jay's Frames for some work I had purchased and have been more than pleased! They have done matting work to full framing jobs for me and I never walk away disappointed and hand it to these guys to consistently surprise me and I imagine a slew of their other customers. I was a loyal customer of another local shop, but I'm stuck with Jay's and won't use another shop no matter how small the job is. Their pricing is very inline with other shops, minus corporate crud, and what better than to support a local independent business. For someone like myself with little to no artistic talent these guys will amaze you with all of the options and choices that fit your piece. I love frames! And I love the art of framing. That's why I particularly love Jay's Frames. Art become magnificent when it is displayed in a beautiful frame. A stage isn't set until the curtains are hung and you are ready to go out for the evening unless your hair is fixed. The same is true with a picture or a piece of art ... a frame is the finishing touch. I like the fact that at Jays Frame they let you be creative. I went to them with a exquisite print I bought online, and Jay created a beautiful mat/frame coordination: the mat brought out the colors and the subtlety of the fine detail in the painting, while the frame added an eye-catching, distinctive edge. I brought in a lovely work of art with the sole criterion of getting it safely on my wall, but it has been significantly enhanced by the skill of the framer - I can't think of a better recommendation than that. (It also helps that they have excellent customer service and reasonable prices...but, really, the final product is what you'll remember most.) read more

I recently tried Jay's for the first time and have been blown away by their customer service, quality, care and guidance. The staff is super friendly and helped me through each project. I have now framed over 15 items with them and each one was treated with such care. One project was 9 vintage LP's... They turned out beautifully and it is obvious that they took such interest and joy in the order. I have only ever used Michaels and I was usually disappointed by the quality and customer service... Not to mention the price. I think Jay's Frames price point is the same, if not lower, than Michaels--- but It would be worth a premium to me to use this great store! I came in with an unusual project: I wanted to frame some friends' wedding vows, which were handwritten double-sided on folded pieces of paper. I wanted them to look interesting in the frame but also to be removable so that my friends could take them out and read them. Very pleased with this place. I had them frame a poster as a gift that had some damage around the edges. They did such an amazing job helping me pick out the right frame and matting as well as trimming out the damage. Looks as good as new. My one complaint is that I was told I would be called when it was ready to be picked up. The day after it was supposed to be ready I hadn't heard anything so I called and was told it had been ready but I was never informed.
