Village Frame Gallery and Sheryl were the absolute BEST. I could not recommend them more. I called them with a loose vision and a dream, and Sheryl was so helpful in matching my excitement level but also focusing the vision so that it can come to life. My boyfriend has 3 letters (his initials) from the golf U.S. open, and this piece would not be the same without this gallery. It is actually the framing that gives the letters their story. One of my favorite experiences in the process of making this piece was Village Frame's openness to emboss. I was set on having letters embossed, and Sheryl learned to make it happen. Overall, I highly HIGHLY recommend Village Frame!! You can tell how much they love what they do, and their expertise is unparalle read more

My wife and I brought in two prints we have had for over 30 years to be reframed. Michelle and Juliana first measured the old frame then measured where the hooks were for hanging. They proceeded to gingerly take the frame apart to get to the prints. Much to our surprise the prints were a whole lot brighter than they looked because the glass had faded. The Village Frame team all helped us with determining the best new frame, new matting and added features we should include to enhance the print. When we got the framed prints back, they looked outstanding. A very professional job done. The prints looked better today than the day we purchased them. We took the framed prints home and, thanks to the initial job of measuring, we were able to put them right back on the picture hangers on the wall. We are now looking at other paintings that could use an update provided by this professional team! read more

The ladies here had great frame recommendations and did a very nice job with my projects

I highly recommend this place! The two ladies who run it are absolutely adorable and beyond helpful, especially if you're not sure what you're looking for! They do high-quality work that you just can't beat! I've never walked away unhappy! read more

You'll get fantastic customer service. They do get stuff done within about a week and for the most part it looks great. But I'll be honest you can get a decent frame job at one of the hobby/craft places for less than half what they charge. You may not have the choices but you will save some bucks. If you have something that really needs some special personally chosen frame, a special glass or you want to spend more to get something really custom - go here. The ladies there take their time to help you choose the right matte and the right frame for your item. The ideas they had on how to frame a couple things I brought in worked out far better than my original ideas. That's why they are framers and I am not. Their selection of frames and matte is freakin' awesome! Whether you need small frames for photos they have those on the shelves or huge frames for posters or artwork they have that to customize for you. The color choices on the matte is mind boggling...almost too much once you start putting colors together. I had three beautiful prints I brought back from France framed there. The framing couldn't have fit the artwork better or looked nicer on the wall. Of course now that I paid the large price tag to get those prints framed it will be a few years before I can go back to Europe! I also had a collector piece of tin ceiling from Norman Sheet Metal I wanted framed...no glass, just matte and a simple frame. When I went to pick it up it was almost $300!! I realize custom framing is not cheap. I've had beautiful original artwork and cartoon cells framed because they are collector items. But for just prints or photos I'd do the Micheal's route next time. I started to give them 3 stars but that was because they are so expensive. But their work is 4 star worthy. read more

I took in a custom photo and frame to be assembled. I was very pleased with the service and the knowledge that was shared with me. Improvements were made to both of my pieces at no additional cost. I was called to pickup two days early during NYE week. They have a lovely retail section as well for gifts and Knick knacks. The adorable mascot(cute friendly dog) is a joy as well. I am returning next week with additional items that need framing. read more

The employees of this place think the whole world needs to bow down to them. One of their drivers was blocking the entire street next to their shop during rush hour traffic. You can't block the entire street. The driver never acknowledge all the traffic he was blocking. I honked softly at him and he gave me a look like he wanted to fight me but didn't move. Well of course I honked again more forcefully because you cannot block and entire street. Finally he very vengefully backs into the shop very slowly the whole time looking like he wants to fight me. Get some manors and obey traffic laws! read more

The amazing ladies at Village Frame and Gallery have taken several pieces of art that I almost threw out and completely renovated them-they now look amazing! They even took an old scratched photograph and completely restored it and then framed so beautifully it looks like something from an art gallery. Then they came to my home and hung them all for me. I'm so glad I found this place! They also have some very cool unique gift items. Very highly recommend this wonderful shop !! read more

Village Frame Gallery - Excellent Art Installation! - Framing Near Me - Houston, Texas

I would definitely recommend this place if you have a high-end job that you want done well. The great: - The end-product was as good as it gets in terms of quality - The staff are extremely knowledgeable and will spend the time with you to get what you want and what is best for your artwork - Parking lot is small but never full when we went, and there was street parking as well. The frustrating: - It took over 2 weeks to get our painting back - While the staff helping us mentioned that the frame we liked would be expensive, they only confirmed the amount RIGHT before my fiance handed over his card. It would've been nice to have considered it while browsing our other options, as my idea of what it would cost was WAY off, and it would've been embarrassing if we couldn't afford that or chose not to go with that frame at that point I would definitely use them again on any original pieces we purchased. I don't agree with some reviewers that mention that you can go to Michael's and other places and get the same for less, as those places are certainly great for many things, but I would much rather trust my higher-end art needs to Village Frame Gallery. That being said, if I had a poster or something that needed framing, I would probably go somewhere a bit cheaper, but you can rest assured that whatever you drop off here will be in good hands. read more

I have long been a customer when I needed something framed in a unique way but I have also taken old photographs to them for restoration and been astonished at the wonderful results. The items they stock in their showroom have been a Godsend at times when I needed a special gift for someone. The service is always friendly and gracious and I'm kept fully informed as to the progress on anything I have left there. I couldn't give a higher recommendation since they have unfailingly given excellent service. Diana F. read more

I found this place after my beloved framing gallery in Sugar Land closed. I am thrilled! I had two pieces framed here - first, I trusted them with my beautiful needlepoint. They blocked and framed it for me and it turned out gorgeous! I also selected a custom acrylic frame for my daughter's college diploma. It is fabulous in the school colors! I am very impressed with the quality, selection and skill of this framing gallery. I'm so relieved to find this great place. read more

We were referred to Michelle by our designer to frame a couple of custom art pieces for us. I have to say that the whole process was super easy and They went out of their way in customer service. We are so happy with what she chose for the paintings. Once they were framed, they brought them back to our house with two installers. They also hung several art pieces around the house and did an exceptional job! We will most definitely be using them again for all our framing needs. read more

I took some medals and awards which needing reframing -after some years of rather poor preservation - to these folks. They consult with you and figure out what you need, and keep you informed along the way. They rank very high in both "vision" for the needed job, and competence in the execution. If you've got something that needs sprucing up and preserving, from a painting to a keepsake or similar, you absolutely could not go to a better frame gallery. read more

I stopped into Village Frame Gallery to have some old pictures from Cuba restored and scanned. I was really impressed about the quality of the photos. Not happy, didn't get what I was told and although an offer was made to make it right, it certainly didn't seem sincere. I blame myself for being too impulsive and not locking in my full expectations. So I took my framed article and suffered the disappointment. Basically I brought in a article to be reframed in my frame and wanted some color matting which, they suggested by the way. When I picked it up, it was on a plain white background and the explanation was not enough room to mat around the article, okkaayy? Well why not use a color background? You win some, you lose some. read more

Thank you yelpers for introducing me to this place! I used to get my framing done at Hobby Lobby and Michaels. Their prices were pretty great with the 50% off coupons, but the service was a bit hit and miss, and I often found that the quality of work just barely met my expectations. But hey, you get what you pay for. This time around, I had something special I wanted framed and thought I'd splurge a little to make sure it gets done right. The ladies here really know their stuff! They must have pulled over 50 options for me to look through and I really appreciated their expertise and advice on what kinds of frames and matting would work best with my pictures. I couldn't be more happy with the end result! From now on, this is the only place in Houston I'll go to for my framing needs! read more

Village Frame Gallery does absolutely beautiful work. I have used them for many years, and I have always been 100% pleased with the results. Plus they provide loads of personal customer service, advice, and suggestions. I do not have an eye for putting things together, but they definitely do. Michelle and the other women who work there are great to work with and can always find the right combination of mat or frame to enhance the photo or painting. They can deal with any time of special framing job. It is not the cheapest framing place, but that is because the quality and the service are both so high. You get what you pay for. I highly recommend Village Frame Gallery. read more

Unfortunately and very disappointed that I just had the most horrible customer service by the owner of the store! We had one diploma reframed and one diploma that had never been framed. The diploma that had never been framed started bubbling/warping in the last two months. We got it framed around end of this February. I took this diploma back to get reframed last Saturday and I picked it up today. The owner said her work room had no idea who framed this diploma. We paid about $650 for this diploma to be framed. The owner said she should be charging me for reframing this diploma. I proceeded to ask her if the diploma was never framed and I picked it up framed then who would have framed it? She said she doesn't know and it is a "mystery". Sounds to me like one of her employees is unwilling to take responsibility for not framing the diploma correctly. I asked her if she would provide a discount on my next framing for the inconvenience of bringing the diploma back. She said for me to take the diploma and enjoy it and be glad she didn't charge me again! This is extremely disappointing as not only did we pay about $1100 for two diplomas but we also purchased a painting and had it framed for about $4000. read more
