This family is one of the best hidden gems in the world of framing, 2 generations of artisans working together and the product they produce is in a word amazing. We recently acquired two stunning Pissarro originals which were unfortunately housed in frames that detracted from their beauty rather than enhancing them. We visited a couple of prestigious shops recommended to us but could not find what we were looking for. Wharehouse Frames was suggested and we stopped by just to see the shop. Amazing, overwhelming, friendly, stacked to the ceiling, well priced, these are terms that only partially describe this place. The online photos do nothing to describe the true experience you will have. Everywhere you look it's full of amazing frames, including a huge collection of hand carved frames in a variety of styles and sizes. And after just a few minutes of chatting we were so comfortable with Gregg who is one of the sons that I went out and got the pieces. 10 minutes later he had both of our pieces mocked up on a table with a beautiful Italian Frame, had selected the perfect Matte, added a fillet to create some contrast and worked up a bid. Amazingly, the price was a fraction of what I expected, and 10 days later the paintings were returned to us. They are now museum presentation quality as they deserve, and in a word simply perfect. We will be back, but more importantly if you are looking for a quality framer, that treats your art like their own, with an amazing design studio, true artisans in the production area, and prices that are unbeatable then you owe it to yourself to make the trip here. You will simply be amazed. This family owned business is hands-down the best place in town for finding the right frame for your artwork. It has a huge selection of ready-made frames in many different sizes and, if there's nothing that suits your artwork, then they can custom make a frame. The store and selection are huge and you are free to wander the floor to do-it-yourself and choose your own frame for your artwork. But if you can't seem to figure it out, their helpful staff will assist you and show you how your artwork can go from OK to impressive. My advice is to ask their professional opinion to get the best frame for your work and home decor. They also can, for a fee, actually frame the work and add the hanging hardware or you can take it home and do it yourself. I brought a collection of paintings here that I've been meaning to have framed for years but never had the extra cash to get around to framing. Wish i had known about this place, i wouldn't have waited so long! They've got every frame you can imagine and they're the best prices around. I got 4 large paintings and two little tiny custom paintings framed for $600 and some change! What a bargain! This is a family owned shop and everyone in the store is so helpful. They had the best selection I could find for 12" x 16" open frames in the Houston area. I drove from Kingwood and was not disappointed. I found a great frame for a canvas print we had made for a friend's birthday. Our friend is going to love it. Luis was very helpful and helped me try several open frames to find one that best suited the canvas print. The price was reasonable and I plan on making this my open frame go to shop in the future. read more

I've been here twice now and have framed three of my own paintings. They varied in size from 14 x 18 to 36 x 48. Prices are slightly high (especially compared to Hobby Lobby, for example), but the selection and quality and aesthetics are worth it. Both times I had my items framed within 24 hours, which is very nice. You can either have the guys on the floor help you pick something out or just wander around by yourself until you find a frame you like. The first time I had someone help me and the second time I just took off by myself. The true test of customer service here was when I went back to exchange a frame. When I picked it out, I mostly looked at it from afar to see how the painting looked within the frame. But when my boyfriend was hanging it up later, he noticed several small cracks in the frame. I called WFG the next day to ask if I could bring it in for them to look at it and exchange it, maybe. They gave me no grief about it and within 20 minutes they had taken off the old frame and put on the new frame. It was great. I'll definitely come here from now on. read more

Pros: Excellent work! Wide variety of frames. The staff is wonderful about helping to select just the right matting and frame. The quality of work was fabulous, as far as I can tell. Cons: They don't use the same calendar and clock as the rest of us. I ordered specialty products so I was given a return date of nearly 3 weeks after placing my order. Okay. When I returned to pick them up on the date on my paperwork I was told that they ran out of the matting I needed and would call me when it was in. What? With 3 weeks to work on it they couldn't check their stock and order before the day it was due for delivery? So I had to wait an extra week. They don't open at the time posted on by the door. They seem to be taking lunch at 3:45pm, the time most convenient for me to be there. I initially thought the pricing was high, but have since been told that it is within the normal range for this type of service Bottom line: If you need your project for a specific date, either plan way ahead or go somewhere else. If you are not on a time schedule you will be very happy with their work. read more

This was my first time getting something custom framed and they were really great to work through lots options. The consultative approach was really helpful and I could tell they were really experts in framing. I just picked up my 2 pieces and the outcome was exactly what I was hoping it would be. Highly recommend if you've got large pieces or something that's not a standard size. We had my daughter's bridal portrait framed here. I was expecting to spend at least an hour looking but Gregg took one look at the portrait and picked out the PERFECT frame in less than 5 minutes!
