    If I could give them ten stars I would. They are not only the most wonderful, smart and kind people, but the best bike shop I've ever been to. My husband bought a Trek Aliant 9+9s. When we first went to Jay's my husband was recuperating from knee replacement surgery. Jennifer spent about a half hour with us answering all his questions knowing he wouldn't be buying anything at that time. So when he finally decided what he wanted we went back to buy it at Jay's. I bought a cheaper ebike online and sent it to Jay's where they put it together for me. They have everything you need for any type of biking. No need to go anywhere else.

    Just Bought a TREK XM700 ebike for my brothers 50th! Richard helped me get a test ride and it was a sweet pedal assist ride upto 28MPH! I test rode a 3.0 VADO with same type of electric Bosch engine @jays in Westfield for a lower price but ended up going with Jays and Richard. My cousin bought his TREK there too. Seems like a quality store, probably will go back for more bikes and accessories when this COvid thing passes. Maybe I'll get an ebike too!

    Overcharged for simple fix and unfriendly. Avoid if you can but will get the job done if you can't.

    I purchased a Lake CX302 shoe at Sourland Cycles. Every time that I rode my bicycle, for several…read moredays afterward, the upper surface of my toes would be inflamed, swollen and painful. I tried adjusting the tightness of the Boas, different socks and repositioning the cleat. Nothing helped. I discovered a raised seam inside the shoe that was causing the irritation. I returned to Sourland Cycles to explain my problem. Sam reassured me that they would either give me a full refund or exchange the shoe. I was able to exchange the shoe for a Lake CX242. This is a somewhat more expensive shoe that was exchanged at no additional cost to me. It is a great shoe with which I am able to ride without any discomfort. This store stands behind what they sell and provides excellent service. I highly recommend Sourland Cycles.

    I had been shopping and researching for a road bike for about 4 months. Then Corona happened. I had…read morevisited various apps, online pages and stores. The stores are all in central jersey. The stores I came across many stores in middlesex - NJ area. Everyone sales and owner were rushing me to buy the bike. I looked at Cannondale, specialized and trek. However, Sourland bike store was different. Their sales Rep Mathias was very professional and kind. He was very patient with me. Although firm with his opinion. I appreciate it. But better to hear the customer. Any how- He is very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. While attending other people he accompanied and assisted me. The other staff members were also very pleasant and hospitable. Very happy with the entire experience. I would recommend this place and give them 4.5 or 5 five stars. Under non Covid circumstances I am sure they are better and go above and beyond.

    I had a horrible experience this Christmas at this store. I had purchased two gift cards for $150…read more each, so I spent $300 in their store. When the receivers of our gifts (a husband and wife) went to spend the gift cards there they were told that one had a balance of "Zero" already. When I asked to speak to the manager, the manager told me to take it up with Customer Service myself, and I was directed to them myself! But how could this resolve the problem since they can't see me or my receipt in person? And why wasn't this their problem right there at the store since they had sold the cards to me? I had given the gift receiver my paid receipt; fortunately! What they alluded to was that the card had already been used, which was ludicrous. What an embarrassing scene this was for the gift-receiver standing their at the cash register and for me when she called me to tell me there was a problem. Again, I insisted l speak to the manager on her phone right then and there as the receiver of my gift stood there at the cash register. When I did, I insisted she handle the problem right then and there, and not put it back on me. Very eventually they did solve the problem but only after I insisted. I was told that they eventually found the $150. card that I should have been given, somewhere in their store and it had been canceled. They just wanted me to go away; but I wouldn't. Good thing I was persistent in insisting they handle this. I will never again purchase any thing for myself or anyone else in this store. Beware of purchasing gift cards. They have left me with the impression that they can't hire and train their employees in such a way that they can serve their clients properly. Cash only from now on and anywhere else. Can you imagine how frustrating this was for both the giver and the receiver. The gift receiver walked out of the store with nothing to purchase that day even though the issue with the card was cleared up. Why? Because while she was standing there at the register so long, they put all her merchandise back. If I hadn't spoke to the manager myself I'm certain she would have had to walk out of there without her new properly credited $150 gift card as well. She was forced to leave empty handed as she had spent so much time there already that she was late for a very important appointment. I'm still livid. How humiliating. Thanks for a Merry Christmas Dick's.
