Wow what a treat this place is! I decided to book a spa day here since I have 4 kids and in much need of some pampering! When you walk into the main lobby it is so welcoming and nicely decorated. I made my way to the salon where I was greeted by the owner Michelle and the hair stylist Macey. I was given a menu to choose from for my lunch and a drink menu because this mama needs a drink! First I got my hydro facial from Haley and had such a relaxing time and a great conversation. After my face felt AMAZING and so hydrated. Next I got a wonderful gel pedicure while I ate my lunch followed by a dip manicure. Next Ms Macey colored, cut and blew out my hair. Inspecting every millimeter for flaws and wanting them fixed. But Kat's work is flawless. Michelle is an ABSOLUTE rockstar! It is true she is so "Glam that she sweats glitter!" (Its posted on her station!) This review is for the last 8 months, countless haircuts, styles, highlights, and overall gossip sessions (the good kind.) I felt conflicted when I was there sharing my secret weapon in beauty with others (I didn't want to fight for an appointment,) but I wanted to tell the world how amazing she is! When I initially found Michelle and JayneeBell I was doing a Yelp search in my area for a hair cut. I needed a therapy cut-meaning I was stressed and emotional and needed a change! She not only was able to fit me in for an appointment that same day but took the time to really get to know me when I came in. I gave her full creative license over my hair and man did she WOW! She kept layers, and even highlighted my hair in November. I should note this highlight appointment in November was after a night of drinking, she looked out for me, kept me hydrated and even used "hangover voices" in the salon. She would always remind me the day before of my appointment and was understanding if I had to postpone my appointment. I have had some of the best shampoos (and most relaxing) I have ever had here. I ALWAYS left relaxed and feeling fabulous!! I can't say enough good things about Michelle and her staff! I was lucky enough to have my hair done by this amazing chica! If I ever become rich and need a stylist-I am flying this home girl out to the east coast!! I write this now because I have moved away from Scottsdale and I want everyone to go to Michelle! If i could give 0 stars, I would. I visited Michele for highlights and a trim. I told her I like to have some "dirty blonde" highlights. After 4 (yes, FOUR) hours in her salon, I came out with WHITE hair. She spent hours putting my hair in foils when the color was done, she took it upon herself to give me a trim. She never once consulted with me to see if (1) I wanted a trim, (2) how much to cut off, (3) if I wanted to change my style. She just started trimming. Also, during this horrible experience, I had to listen to her tone deaf singing and her co-worker screaming (because that is her normal talking volume). She charged me close to $300 for the white hair and the trim. WAAAY out of my price range. Maybe you should have said the trim would be extra, so I had an idea of what to expect. Plus, I was obligated to tip her! After I got home and dealt with the shock of my white hair, I called to see if she would fix the mess she created. She told me I would have to wait a week before she had time to fix me. I work in the customer service field, too. When I have a dissatisfied client, I go above and beyond to right the wrong. If it means staying late, no lunch break or coming in early, I do it. I give refunds, too. Obviously Michele's idea of customer service isn't the same as mine. For the next week, I cried every time I looked at myself in the mirror. CRIED. When I came back for her to fix the mess she created, she told me that she only did what I asked her to do. (I'm sorry, it IS all my fault. I did want to leave the salon 4 hours later looking like I had the hair of a 90 year old. MY BAD!) Two of my friends recommended Michele to me. After telling them of this experience, both referrals stopped going to her. As well as myself. If you are looking for a tone deaf concert and someone to ruin your hair and charge you way more than is necessary, go to Michele! (She should have paid me for what I had to endure.) read more

I was visiting Scottsdale and searched Yelp for reviews of a nail salon before booking any appointment. I booked with Kat at JayneeBell; she knew I was just visiting the City yet she gave me the best Opi shellac french tip manicure I have ever seen, and I have been doing shellac manicures since they were first introduced. She used a nail art tool for the french tip instead of a brush, cool natural look. I mentioned I had chopped my bangs off while on vacation and messed them up and Kat offered to provide a textured bang fix, at no charge. The bang fix was so excellent I asked to schedule an appointment to do a complete haircut. Many times if a stylist or nail tech knows one is visiting they won't go the extra mile to impress. Kat was such a blessing and I will ask for her EVERYTIME I come to this town. read more

I have emailed and called this salon and received no answer for two days (at least 6 calls during business hours). I have never received a reply to my email even though the company's website suggests that I book an appointment by email. Once I texted (per the company's voicemail), I was advised only that the salon was completely booked - No apology, no acknowledgement, and no willingness to book for a future date. While I'm sure that the quality of work, per the reviews below, is great, I will never know without being able to book. I'm thoroughly disappointed in this lapse in service. read more

I followed Michelle from the beauty academy to her present salon and in the past six months the environment has changed from positive to very guarded with co-owners christine and Michelle judging, smirking and making guests feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. my color wizard Kat left the end of the year and Michelle had 2 weeks to get the formula documented in my files but instead chose her own formula that didn't match my re growth. When I went in to show her the problem she said "well I think it looks fine but I'll get back to you". After waiting 2 days for a follow up from this salon owner I chose to pursue a new hairdresser who will listen to my requests. I feel like it's Her way or the highway and I've chosen the highway. The only reason I would give 2 stars is because Kat was very nice and funny. But my shellac manicure from her was probably the worst manicures I've ever received. I don't know if she did a bad job because I had an Amazon Local deal and she just rushed me out. For one she cut my cuticles dry, the shellac is bubbly and uneven, there's polish on my leftover untrim cuticles, and she didn't even shape my nails when she filed. The worst mani-pedi I have ever had. It began with sitting in a soiled desk chair and having my feet soak in a Rubbermaid type basin. I had to ask for my toenails to be cut as only a file was used on them. One big toenail ended up long and the other short. The polish on my toenails were lumpy and uneven, and I had to ask for the smeared polish on my cuticles and toe skin to be removed before leaving. Cuticles were never maintained, only ignored. Fingernails....The nails were never soaked and the cuticles not trimmed or pushed back. The only thing done was to have the old polish removed and the new polish put on which I could have done myself. No hand massage nor foot massage as is done in every other salon I have patronized. If I had not already prepaid thru a social website for the mani-pedi, I would have left the salon and not looked back Then to top it all off I was offered a discount price to return! It took all inside of me to keep my mouth shut. Do not book any nail service with this business. The worst. read more

I have been getting my hair blown dry regularly with Michele , the owner of JayneeBell Salon and I cannot provide enough positive comments about my experiences. The salon has a warm, personal atmosphere and Michele does an amazing job with my hair. I have very thick hair and she always takes extra time, resulting in a beautiful outcome. Even her shampoos are like a relaxing head massage. Last week I asked Michele to make a change in the blow dry process and she was very enthusiastic and willing to try what I requested. That is not always the situation. Going to this salon has been a really positive experience and I highly recommend Michele as well as her daughter. While I have not personally had a manicure done, I have watched them and they are done with great care and professionalism. Sad to say that my shellac manicure with Christine was terrible. It consisted of a quick buff and file (and my nails were filed in such a weird, uneven manner, they have annoyed me every time I looked at them) and just the application of the gel polish and set-no attention to cuticles. AND... the shellac mani only lasted 6 days on me before it began peeling from the cuticle end of my nails. The salon pedicure was only mediocre--a quick soak in a regular tub (no heat, no massage features), a quick scrub with a file (still had rough looking heels the next day), a lower leg massage (which was actually nice... the best part of the whole experience) and toe nail filing and polish. Christine was personable, but the work done was sub-par. I won't return. Too bad, since I had been looking for a reasonably priced place for hair and nails. read more
