My color and cut is exactly what I wanted and if you are a blonde I HIGHLY recommend it....first time trying bayalage and I think ill make the switch over foils:) Price is a tad high but honestly very comparable to the neighborhood and expert level so totally worth it. I came to Jay after moving to CT and getting a referral from a friend. My over processed and way too blonde hair needed to be toned down and given a more natural look. After consulting with Jay and showing a few pictures of what I had in mind, he used a Blonde balayage technique to create a natural-looking hair color that will not be noticeable when grown out. The best part about this method is that he custom-blended the look specifically for me and kept the front face framing sections of my hair light. I love that whenever you leave his salon you always look especially polished with a great blowout and a few waves of the curling iron! I don't usually allow a stylist I've never sat with to cut my hair right off the bat, let alone a stylist in a different state but Jay blew me away with his technique and passion for what he does. I have very thick and coarse hair, which requires a stylist with a strong set of skills and patience. Jay takes pride in his work and provided me with outstanding service and a killer hair style. The salon itself was very clean and the staff was very friendly, offering me anything from water to champagne, it's everything you would want out of a high end salon. Finally! I've been living in the Norwalk are for 3 years and I just found Jay, I wish I found him sooner. It's very hard to find a upscale salon that is able to manage Hispanic Hair they way we like it. Every other salon I've been in the are can't blow dry our hair the right way and my hair end up looking like Mufasa as soon as I walk out the door. Jay is an amazing hair stylist and a wonderful person. He cut my hair and blow dried perfectly. I will be his new regular. Ok so five stars does not do this amazing place any justice! When you call to make an appointment you are greeted by a warm, friendly receptionist. They do everything they can to accommodate our busy schedules/lives, as they understand that our time is valuable. Once you arrive to your appointment, you are greeted by smiles from all employees! His salon maintains a clean environment. Modern, but yet chic interior, absolutely fab! They take your belongings to a safe place and they are always waiting for you to arrive only to send you straight to wash that hair of yours! His assistants and stylists especially Soccoro (I probably butchered her name) are so warm and offer you a glass of water, coffee, cappuccino or even WINE darling! I nearly fainted when they said red or white?! The hair washing is superb and out of this world, so relaxing! I was hesitant at first on how they would handle my hair, being that it's dry, super curly & thick! But obviously from the picture they did wonderfully! His technique is unlike any other stylist, absolutely wonderful. I can't say it enough how much I love this place. Close to work and they get me out of there looking and feeling so fabulous in a half an hour for a blow out. Been there 3 times already this month! Highly recommend their blow out packages! My family was part of a bridal party that went here for hair and makeup. Some people were happy but my family was very disappointed. The wait was forever and so we almost missed the wedding. And on top of that the work was mediocre at best. We do not recommend this place at all. read more
