I've known the owner for about 10 years now, he's more than amazing at what he does. I'm very picky and there aren't a lot of people who I let style, cut my hair and Jay is one of the few people who I trust with my hair. HIs salon its more then amazing, super clean, super organized. The second you walk in you are great either with a cappuccino, coffee, water or your choice of wine. Everyone is very courteous and amazing at what they do. He always dos my make up for every event I go to, and also styles my hair. Jay is the only person I have ever trusted to color my virgin hair and I did not regret it. I strongly believe that he is the best colorist in town. Everywhere I go everyone wants to know who does my hair, who cuts it and who does my makeup because his work is just amazing. I'm always recommending this salon and now all my friends come here too. I strongly recommend it and once you go to this salon your never going to want to go anywhere else. read more

Jay is an artist when it comes to hair care. The whole team is amazing, costumer service is a priority to them, making you feel comfortable and welcome since the moment you step into the salon. The complete experience was a treat. Being pampered with refreshments and capillary massages while getting my hair done was definitely a plus. Jay definitely goes beyond just doing your hair, he would make sure you leave his salon happy with your hair looking healthy and gorgeous. I walked in there no so sure of what I was getting done but Jay took the time to listen to my needs and desires to achieve a perfect look. I must say his skills are beyond amazing, even though it looked like a busy night he never rushed, and still managed to get my hair and everyone else perfect. I would definitely recommend his work to anyone looking for a refreshing new hairdresser. I can confidently say I have found my hairdresser for life :)! read more

Jay Romero Salon and his fabulous team are AMAZING!!! I have had horrible experiences with other salons, to include the latest turning my hair red after asking for blonde. I have tried multiple salons asking for a specific color only to be told it was impossible or it would take multiple appointments. I decided to have Jay Romero Salon try to help me with the mess of color I now had. Jay and his team worked thier magic and were able to get rid of all the red in my hair and give me the exact blonde color I had wanted all along! In one appointment too! They knew exactly what to do to achieve the look I was going for. They are so talented, professional and so much fun to be around. I am so in LOVE with my new cut and color! The makeup Jay did for me was fantastic as well. I could not have been happier with the outcome! I will definitely be going back to Jay from now on. I will be recommending them to everyone. read more

I was recommended to Jay by one of my closest friends who entrusted him with her golden locks. I was quite nervous about going out of my comfort zone and trying someone new. I am so glad that I did! The cut I got was perfect for my hair type and face. I don't think I have had such a good blow dry, it was gorgeous. Jay's team is so welcoming and friendly. His salon is clean and simplistic in design which I really liked, it's very current. He even has foots at the shampoo chairs, what a treat and way more comfortable on the neck and back! It's the little things right? But more than anything, Jay is so vibrant, alive and fun to spend time with. He is excited about his work, his salon, and what he creates. He is quite masterful. I will definitely be going back and I already sent my daughter for a balayage treatment -- WOW, it's gorgeous and she loves it!!! One happy gal, thanks Jay. Gigi read more

Absolutely the BEST salon experience I've ever had! I have NEVER walked out of a salon loving my hair as much as I did today!! It is a playful, sexy lightweight cut that I have always wanted but never got from so many other salons I've tried. And trust me, I've been to many. Jay is incredibly talented and his staff are super friendly! I will be returning and I will be recommending him! His salon offers a personal feel which is refreshing from those other large "quantity over quality" feel. He could teach these other salons a thing or two! Check out his website and Facebook and take a look at his work, it truly speaks volumes! Can't wait for my next visit! Thank god I have finally found someone I trust to cut my hair, and soon work their balayage magic!Thank you Jay! read more

I went today to this amazing salon to go blonde, but after Jay saw me he knew exactly what color complimented my skin color, etc. His eye for color and driven passion exceeds with radiance as soon as you meet him and his wonderful team. I have never gone to a salon where the professionalism and creativity side went so well together. As soon as you enter through his doors, you feel the welcoming vibe and you know you chose the right place to go to. He did an amazing job on me with a wine, red color that i was overjoyed to step out the door with. Jay Romero is the definition of pure excellence and has an amazing strong staff. Jay Romero and his team were sent from heaven. I first went to Jay looking for help because 5 days prior to meeting him I had a different hairdresser work on my hair and in small words my hair looked terrible. I was so upset, not only did Jay correct my hair color but also treated the hair with such finesse leaving it silky and smooth. I didn't even need a big cut! So I got to keep my long hair, Jay has a true talent. Not only was the salon beautiful but it also had a Beautiful and very sweet staff to match. I haven't left a salon this happy in years, I won't be going anywhere else. Jay Romero Salon is the place to go. read more

Ive been going to Jay since I was a little girl & he's never disappointed me. Every time I leave the salon, I feel like a brand new person. The team is super attentive and caring, ALL THE TIME. Jay Romero Salon is one of the most professional salons in Fairfield county, I have never let any one else touch my hair these past 8 years or so. From special occasions, seasonal changes, touch ups - I have gone brown, red, violet, balayage many times and my hair continues to grow healthy and strong. I highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for more than just a salon but a team that helps you radiate confidence. read more

This is the most amazing hair salon in norwalk. Jay and his whole staff are warm and welcoming (always following safety guidelines for COVID). The professionalism of this place, along with the knowledge makes the price worth it. I had an extremely horrible haircut and color before coming here and Jay turned it into the most beautiful cut and color imaginable. He also sold me on the Kérastse products, which I was hesitant about at first, but was so well worth it. My hair is the healthiest it has ever been. AMAZING!!!!!! read more

I picked Jay Romero Salon to do my bridal hair and makeup for the entire bridal party. His salon is very modern, chic and clean. Jay made me feel at ease right away. Jay and Angela did a phenomenal job on my hair and makeup trial. Omg! I'm sooo happy for Jay and his beautiful salon. The place is immaculate. First off they cannot be friendlier and more accommodating with scheduling. My other salon would make me sit and wait at least 30 to 45 minutes after my appointment was booked. Super annoying when you have a busy schedule. Jay is just amazing and a sweetheart. On top of all of this he gave me a gorgeous haircut. The price was also half of what my old salon charged. Thank you thank you thank you. I will never go anywhere else. read more
