So happy to find this salon! We just moved here from out of state I was lucky to have someone recommend Bird. Everyone was so friendly not just to me and my daughter, they were friendly & helpful to each other too which just makes the environment a really pleasant place to be. Danielle listened to what I hoped my hair color would look like & took the time to explain what the process was going to be. Elise did the same with the cut, they were both fantastic! Thinking about joining the bird workforce be wary! I closed my own salon down to work here because I was giving a load full of bologna as to how great it would be and I was tremendously excited... I wanted a life change and to incorporate my existing clients with new clients! Two months into working there all while having a fully booked schedule and still moving my clients over, I was told I don't FIT the vibe wtv it that means , in the little time I was there I fixed multiple other long term stylists clients which were not only off by a little but by a lot, all the quote unquote hard to deal with clients loved me and I had already seen the same clients 2 and 3 times over so obviously the problem wasn't my work! But the icing on the cake was how they tried to steal my long time clients that I brought there luckily unless somehow confused into thinking I just took the day off, I was notified and able to take them in my new salon 1 day later because I am a highly notified stylist in my home town area with a good rapport. So I had 4 offers the same day this all happened! I am now back in Monroe Ct where I originally started and happy to be so! I wouldn't not have wasted my breath to write this review except I was now informed the others that were also let go are now being told by unemployment they quit on their own! No this 100 percent is not true and it's a game to not have to pay severance! This was the straw that hit the camels back for me! Don't be fooled into here are a ton of amazing places that will value you more than! You have been warned please go with god and now with this info before you will not be conned into working for these low character people! Thankyou for your time! I started going to Suzanne for my hair in September and it is transformed, so healthy and a gorgeous blonde color! I'm shocked by any negative reviews because this place seems busy and to operate so well. I love my color, the cut I've gotten and my blowouts by Necktarios have lasted for days. My appt was booked with Stephanie for blonde highlights, all I needed was my roots done. Please do not be fooled by this salon or their Instagram pics! Owner is not on premise. Looks like they rent out chairs. I walked in bright blonde and came out a brunette I was not allowed to dry my hair because it was past closing. When I blew dry my hair at home it was brunette with brassy/ orange highlights throughout, also ashy with grayish tones in the front. I called the salon asked for a refund to which they replied there are no refunds. I also asked to speak to the owner but no one ever returned my call. Very deceptive business practice to take someone's money, change the color, damage their hair and not refund the money. read more

I've been a client at Bird since they opened - and let me tell you, I am PICKY! It took me quite a while to find a stylist that I loved and now I will never stray. While I typically see the same woman (co-owner, Kimberly) for my cut and color, I have had either blow outs or keratin treatments from nearly everyone else there and I love them all- I've never left this salon feeling any less than my best! Bird is clean and trendy with a super friendly staff. I'm always greeted immediately upon arrival and offered something to drink or snack on. The atmosphere is so comfortable - you feel as if you're amongst friends. I also love that they carry all of my favorite products and I can pop in to grab what I need in a pinch rather than risk ordering expired and/or imitation products on Amazon (or wait for shipping from somewhere else). Full disclosure: I'm not the most patient person and often find it hard to sit still. So, when it comes to getting my hair colored it's important that the setting, professionalism and company be spot on. At bird not only does Stephanie give me amazing results but the salon has great ambiance (and nice amenities... not just your average cup of Joe) and my time in the chair flies by! Stephanie is not only super talented but has a great personality and truly cares about her clients. It's great to leave a salon not only with great looking color but also feeling refreshed. When I first walked through those doors, I was greeted with smiles and friendliness from the staff. Everyone says hello and asks "how are you"?. Every staff member in this salon has patience, passion, enthusiasm, and love for their work. They always have smiles on their faces. They have amazing attitudes!! Not a single person with a frown. Their music is very appropriate for all ages, it's up beat and lively. They all work together as a team. It really is an amazing place to go and shows how much they care about their clientele experience. My experience was awesome! I was brought to the seating area, to wait for my stylist to come and bring me to her chair (throne more like because she is a goddess). Next, she had me undo my hair so she could get a good look at the color (previously dyed from another salon) and texture of my hair. She proceeded to ask a few questions like, do you have an idea in mind your looking to achieve or what were you looking to do with your hair? I had some pictures and ideas in mind which I showed her. She gave me the legalistic's of everything that I needed to be aware of transferring from blonde to red. She was able to answer my questions thoroughly and provide me with the step by step breakdown if I wanted to know further details. She brought out the booklet of colors and we chose from there. She explained to me before doing anything to my hair, what she was going to do, who was going to wash it, how many minutes I need the color in for, and what to expect after it is blown out (yes she did blow dry my hair). After everything was all set and done, she asked me if she could take pictures of my hair color and post it on social media (obv. I said of course). My hair looked awesome. It just keeps getting better and better every time I see her. I'm always satisfied when I leave there. I am never going to another salon again. This will be my place forever. Completely ruined my hair. I had gorgeous long full hair with light brown caramel highlights - I moved from NYC last year and wanted to try a local colorist. Over the course of one year- I saw Ashely and Stephanie. Once in April and in October. My hair was healthy long full and gorgeous before these 2 colorists completed over processed it. In the past 12 months since their coloring- it has completely broken off. The only change To my hair routine care was going to Bird. Pictures show before last April and now year later.
