I'm a diabetic with a tooth infection and they gave an app for August. Previously l was suppose to have an app in Sept but the receptionist never did it. Being a diabetic with an infection puts me at risk, l told the receptionist that needed an earlier app, but all they care about is money. They won't listen. Terrible customer service but great providers. I've been going here for years due to the location, I literally live across the street but the customer service is atrocious. They never pick up their phones. Never. You PHYSICALLY have to go in to speak to someone. They stare at you blankly when you explain your frustrations then ask if you want to make an appointment. Last summer, I went in-person to schedule an appt and decided to wait for an app that just happen to become available. A young man walked in and was obviously anxious. He explained that he had traveled from Queens, took 3 trains to the office to ask questions about a procedure. He said no one answered his calls so he had to travel. His insurance only listed a few providers and Dr. Fensterstock's office was the closest location to him. He apologized for being shaky and flustered, but he was not used to traveling so far and had written out a list of questions he wanted to ask to ensure he was getting things right. And this is when I realized this office did not deserve his business or mine. Maxine, the Dental Hygienist is the only one I see here and she is excellent but unfortunately, this will not save the relationship. Go someplace else. read more

Came here twice since this dentist office was listed under my insurance. If you're someone that has any form of dental anxiety and are looking for a dentist with comforting friendly service DO NOT COME HERE. Everyone here down to the receptionist is rude and not friendly or welcoming in the slightest. The only worker who was friendly and pleasant here was Margie who is in charge of what your insurance will cover & what your balance will be. I got a root canal done today. The dentist was hurting me while doing the procedure and though I mentioned it multiple times she just responded with "yeah it's going to hurt" Not one staff member smiles in this office, properly greets you, or makes you feel welcomed or comforts you in anyway. Not the receptionist not the lady who takes the scans and not any of the dentist I met with here. Highly doubt I'd be coming back here horrible rude service. read more

Just made an appointment and it went smooth. She was easy to talk to and not rude or at all. I'll do a follow-up review after my first visits this Oct 2018. Initially, two days prior I had called after hours and someone took my information and said I will be conacted to create an appointment but no, I call for two days so I made the call and it went well. This is the WORST dentist office I have ever been to in my life (and I am more than a half century old, with MANY trips to the dentist). From unacceptably long wait times (4 1/2 hour wait for an initial x-rays, exam and cleaning !) to today's two hour plus wait (so far.....I am still waiting to be seen). Dentist I originally saw (Dr Sherman-who is no longer with the practice) was negligent and ignored a cavity he should have filled. He was also always in a hurry to rush you out. I guess he knew he was leaving and just didn't care anymore. Calls are not returned when you leave messages....front office receptionists look at you like you are crazy when you speak up....it is disgusting. Do not come here !!!!! I am forced to give one star but would give ZERO if I could. I wish that I had read the Yelp reviews earlier. P.S: The dentist I finally got to see was Dr Goodbinder and he was very pleasant and professional, so he should get the star. read more

I was actually done with this place till I was told this place went under renovation and new staff so I gave it another try, what a mistake! I think the same person is running it nothing has changed. The receptionists don't like to call when they say they will. Several times. Over the span of a month. Also, sometimes there's no voicemail/answering machine. Apparently we're still in the 1980's. Good equipment, ok everything else, but seriously. The reception is the first face of service you get, and they should be good. But they're not. I was ready to go down there and make a scene because it took over a MONTH to set appointments that they were supposed to call & set me up for. read more

It is a shame that in this day and age, people do not understand the concept of being kind and professional. I went in as an urgent walk-in due to a burst abscess I had in my mouth with inflammation of my gums. Given that this was the second time it happened to me, I already knew that I needed antibiotics and was also advised that I may need gum surgery. The front staff was nice enough to fit me in and have a dentist see me, however the tech that called me in to take xrays, was very rude and seemed in a hurry. I had to tell him to please bare with me and advise me when he was speaking to me as I was in pain and was not sure if his remarks were directed to me, as I was inside the xray machine. I was then seen by a dentist, who asked questions and as I answered, she would interrupt with another questions...also seemed to be in a hurry. I explained my recent history and indicated the possible infection, where I was then told " You don't have a fever, so I am not going to prescribe antibiotics", she made her suggestion to see a Periodontist so confirm if I needed gum surgery and set me up for a cleaning. I agreed and was told by a financial representative, the possible cost and at this point I was scheduled for the following monday, for what I was lead to believe was a consult and cleaning. The appointment date and time deferred from what front desk confirmed and I had to go back in to correct it. At this point, the young lady explained that instead of 5:30pm I should come in at 5pm, "because that was the dentist last appointment slot for that date". I agreed. Come Monday's appointment. (I will try to keep this abbreviated and shorter): Front End was unprofessional, Collected my Coinsurance amount for visit and I was told that the visit was only for a consult, NOT a cleaning. I waited until 5:40pm to actually be seen by the specialist- who was very nice and explained everything to me. She was thorough and advised that WOW...OH MY! You NEED ANTIBIOTICS!!!, I shook my head in agreement. She prescribed antibiotics and a mouth wash, where her assistant confirmed my information to call it in. I then had to wait for the Financial Representative (Margerie ?) to make an appt for cleaning and to go over the next steps- This is where I waited 45mins where I was NEVER CALLED. The amount of ppl waiting just kept increasing and the rep. was not taking in any of the patients. The specialist walked by saids "wow, are you still waiting?" I simply said yes I am. She then pokes her head in the office of rep and tells me I was next-- to which a staff member looks at her and me and yells "I told her that ALREADY!!" I then left the office, without a receipt of payment, or visit and cherry on top was..." NO MEDS WERE SENT TO PHARMACY" !! I work for the hospital and thought this to me convenient but this treatment is UNACCEPTABLE.....There is a sense of unproffessionalism and chaos- no order. If the dentist are good, I won't find out because I certainly will not be going back! Dr.Jay Fensterstock, please consider re-evaluating your staff and how the place handles your patients. read more

Horrible place. I went in to see the periodontist and was seen by Dr M.Azimi . This woman seemed fine during my first visit and I believe she did the first half of my dental surgery professionally and to the best of her ability but when I returned for the second half of the surgery to be completed I asked about an area she did not do and she quickly got upset, told me it was completed and the second half of my surgery was awful. I felt the pain through mout it all because she didn't not numb my mouth enough. I did tell her and even tested during it. Needless to say I'm sure she botched the second half of my mouth on purpose because the the first half she did is great and healed nicely but the second have is all messed up and worse now then it was before she touched it. $2000 our of pocket for a had ass job. I never turned there and will never. This happened in October 2017. BEWARE. They only want your money. read more

This is a disgusting mismanaged office, My dentist was Dr Evan Schartz. The worst tempermental dentist who shouted at me. He is a prostodontist but he last thing you may ever get is a pair of dentures out of him. He made a mistake so he told me to take a hike. I have never seen.Dr. jay Fensterstock doesnt care about patients at all. It's shocking the lack of care and concern you get as a patient. The worst joke is Steven Wolf the regional manager. He answers the phone but wont solve any problem but screams like an incompetent. Don't waste your time unless you want to feel like an abused victim. Went here years ago. Wait time was ridiculous! Regardless of appointment time you will wait for a very long time. My dentist was a caucasian woman with tight curls (I don't remember her name). She was soooo rude! She was very rough with me. I told her she was hurting me when she was checking the spacing with floss (she was just jamming it straight down rather than easing it in). She gave me the floss and told me to do it myself. Terrible care for patients. read more

10-2019 Do not go to any off their offices. It appears that this company Including Jay Fensterstock owner of Concerned Dental Care are not concerned with their patients outcomes. I have read so many bad reviews on so many websites now that I wish I had never went. I saw Eugene G. Herman in Farmingville he became very abusive using profanities ( F words towards me directly ) and became unnecessary rough as he broke my tooth off leaving roots sticking out my gum. He didn't discuss any thing with me until I asked and he sighed and dismissed my concerns giving no explanation or understanding to leaving the roots exposed as he did. The suture was never tied and fell out in the car ride home. I plan to contact the Dental Association and file a formal complaint with my insurance company. Mr. Herman was sued in 2015 for similar behavior. I am contacting a Lawyer to see if I can sue Concerned Dental Care and Eugene G. Herman. If you value yourself and your family's health do not go to any of their offices. Most reviews have bad outcomes. Stop these people from their abuse and neglect. read more

I have been coming here since I was 5 and had no problems in the past but as of recently, I have trouble scheduling an appointment and when I finally do get one, I can never seem to see the head dentist. It's disappointing because I don't get properly diagnosed which could be disastrous to my teeth/ health. This has happened to me twice in a row and its sad. I went to this dentist multiple times from 2009 - 2010. The office staff is always rude and you always wait at least 30 minutes before you're seen, but the dentists seemed good enough and it was close by so i continued going. To my demise! They did root canal with a crown that is loose at the bottom, then 3 months after they were recommending that i get the crown refit and replaced - and that i pay for it! I suggested that means that they didn't do a good job in the first place and the endodontist just brushed it of saying "it happens sometimes". As is this wasn't enough, they always make you pay up front for services before you can even go back to see the dentist. No problem - right? Wrong! despite this they have somehow decided to tack on additional charges for the services done in 2009 and paid for at that time. I have since started seeing a new dentist that has a professional and pelasant staff, where you don't have to wait, and they have up to date services (like nitrous oxide). This may seem like an easy option (especially if you're a resident at Monte) but for your own sake please avoid. read more

They are rude, unprofessional, incompetent, give you wrong information about your insurance coverage, schedule your appointment for the day when your doctor is not even there (and you find it out only when you already at the place) - i went through all of this. Make sure when you go there, you don't say what you know just so you can be entertained by the BS that will leave her mouth. Very unprofessional. My child lost a tooth during his orthodontic (braces) treatment at Dr. Fensterstock's Concerned Dental Care. Dr. Keane, who took his xrays, did not bother to tell me that the root of his tooth was missing when she saw it. Nor did she bother to tell the treating orthodontist. The staff and management acted showed no concern whatsoever for my child when this happened. They had my child in braces for 3 years-which was excessive in this day and age. Do not trust this place with your teeth!!!! I cannot stress that enough. Hopefully what happened to my family will save someone the aggravation by preventing others from using this subpar dental office. read more

Awful place, like an assembly line. They are seriously overbooking patients, I was there for three hours during which time I only got x-rays and a cleaning. Never saw the dentist since after three hours I was really late for work and couldn't wait any longer. Also there was mass confusion with making an appointment--I made the appt online then confirmed on the phone with two different people, and still when I showed up they didn't have the appt in their schedule. I felt like they were just cramming in as many patients as possible to make money, it was unbelievable how many people went through while I was there. I really don't feel like they can be providing good care. Also, I just got the EOB from my insurance company and they overcharged me. I have little confidence that I'll get that money back, certainly not without a trip there in-person and probably more hours of waiting. The only good thing I can say about it is that the hygienist was really nice, but overall not a good experience and I won't be back. read more
