When I called her for the price, she told me a few numbers and I asked her if it's possible for her to send it via email. She groaned and said she doesn't have time for this. I was so confused... I said "I'm sorry, what don't you have time for?" She barked "I already told you the price why do you need it emailed?" I can't imagine having a receptionist like Lisa that is too lazy to do the basic day to day tasks and treats her customers so poorly that they decide to take their $2000+ elsewhere. Never again.

Before they even looked in my mouth,…read morespoke to me or looked at xray from dentist they wanted me to pay up front for a special xray (cone beam) that "wouldn't be covered by my insurance". I paid for it. At the consult, she was very condescending and doom and gloom about the need to do a re-treatment root canal (didn't offer any alternative) and that I'd probably loose the tooth anyway. They gave me a cd of the special xray when I left. After doing some research, I learned about an apicoectomy as an option (they cut two of the roots, clean them out and then sew it back up). When I asked, she claimed that she didn't mention it because "it involved roots and she wasn't able to see which roots to treat" (really? why did you make me pay for the expensive xray then??) and she didn't mention it because "she didn't want to confuse me". Really. Long story short, I went to a different endo. I gave them the cd of the xray. He could not read it, so they did another one and he didn't charge me. He was very logical about it and in the end we ended up doing the apicoectomy. He could see exactly which two roots to treat. I've healed nicely. He was also very cognizant of a heart condition I had and gave me antibiotic's ahead of time to help prevent infection. I would highly recommend him - I have friends who also go to him. Dr. Pipher in Norwalk. Don't go to Wong.

I am very sensitive and quite anxious about the dentist, so I requested topical numbing and hand scaling. She didn't hesitate, and was extremely accommodating. I checked my online insurance account and there were no claims submitted. Now they want payment up front before a supposed resubmission of a claim. When we ask for proof of submission they state they are unable because its electronic (In this time of advanced technology). Huge lack of integrity beware! The worst part was that my jaw stayed locked for 3-4 weeks. I could open it maybe the size of a Cheeto puff and every movement of my mouth hurt tremendously. I was out of work for most of this time due to the pain and not being able to talk They tried to charge me for the whole bill and I politely asked for small compensation for their mistake. Dr stein said absolutely not and if I chose to go to court there's no chance I would win Eventually we did settle for like a $50 discount on a much larger bill. He was also very condescending on the phone and unpleasant to talk to. After begging them for weeks to provide me with a fix, a dental hygienist put his hands in my mouth and pulled my jaw apart. I have never felt pain like that in my life and he laughed at me while doing it. I genuinely screamed from the pain. 3-4 weeks of eating mashed potato's and struggling to talk. Genuinely one of the worst times of my life. I still think about it often to this day. This is a very predatory and money hungry dental practice. I have not been to a dentist since that surgery because I genuinely feel traumatized. And THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU Please please please do not go to this practice. Disgusting behavior and incredibly rude and unpleasant people. Especially dr stein himself.
