I will not recommend this business anymore and will move my entire family out. Customer service has declined and when spoken to by hygienist and dentist it feels like a money grab! The hygienist appears to be scattered, unprepared and works with equipment that's not working. It felt like I had 100 x-rays that took 50 minutes to complete, with a computer shutdown, using multiple x-Ray wire leads and then being moved to another room to complete process. They only good thing is the receptionist specialist. The frequent turnover over the years is probably a result of poor management, with a major focus on making money and not patient care. I have been a patient at Feiler Dental for years, but today was the first time I was treated by Dr. Paul. I haven't had fillings since I was a child, and I have to compliment Dr. Paul and Helen (the dental assistant) on a very smooth visit. It was not only painless, but actually calm and comfortable from start to finish. It was almost like a nice one hour break from work/life. I am very happy with the practice overall because I know everyone there - the doctors, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and front office staff - really care and go above and beyond to help their patients. It's definitely not the kind of place where you're "just another patient". You're greeted with a smile, and they get to know you there. I have been going to Dr. Feiller's office for Orthodontist treatments for the last few years. I just recently made this office my primary for dental services. The staff are very professional and very courteous. They're always very kind and very helpful. Today I received my first cleaning at this office with Dina. I have to say that the cleaning I received today has to be the very best cleaning I ever received. I have very sensitive gums and teeth. I never mentioned it to Dina because I wanted to tough it out. (Past cleaning have usually been painful) Dina was so gentle and thorough at same time. No rush job here. She went over every thing and answered all my questions. This place is ONLY MONEY HUNGRY!!! DO not go here unless you want to get scammed out of money and work!!! They do the least amount of work, and make up things to charge you for. For example, when I got my teeth whitened here they told me I needed a cleaning and xrays before. I went to my regular dr and got a teeth cleaning and xrays. When I went to them to get the whitening done, they told me I did not have the CORRECT xrays and made me xray them AGAIN THERE for even MORE money!!! (Mean whilte my dr had just approved me to get a whitening and did the xrays!) I mean getting an XRAY ISNT EVEN GOOD FOR YOU!!! and they made me do it 2x in 1 day????? My teeth are in so much pain because apparently you arent supposed to clean and whiten the same day. And they did it anyway!!!! They acted like they cared by my MAKING me get an xray to make sure I could whiten, then do a cleaning and whiten the same day!! I've been a patient here for years. I had two of my wisdom teeth extracted here a couple weeks ago and one today. I recommend Dr. Furmanek for oral surgery. He was extremely reassuring, and very quick. He surgically removed my wisdom tooth in less than 15 minutes. Stitched me very quickly, and did almost all of the job himself. He's very positive and made me feel very comfortable in the chair. He answered all of my questions and made me feel like I can trust him. The office staff is young and vibrant. I like going first thing in the morning. I would recommend an early appointment or late appointment if you are on a tight schedule. Health is an investment, so don't rush a dentist visit. read more

Do not go here! I went in because I broke my tooth, and specifically mentioned I am here for my broken tooth (OBVIOUSLY). Instead, they decide to take 100 x-rays of my teeth, then slap me with an estimate for $5,000. I asked several times during the x ray process if I will be charged for any of this and 3 times they said no. When all was said and done, I spent an hour on the chair getting x-rays, slapped with a large estimate of alllll the work I need, and they literally did nothing for my broken tooth which is the only reason I went it. I had to see another dentist the very next day and he was appalled at what I told him, and has never heard of something so unprofessional. On top of that, they slap me with a bill for these services which I never asked for, even though I did my thorough due diligence and asked repeatedly if I will be charged anything. It's like going to get your flat tire fixed, but instead you only get a "free car wash" and a bill for $100. WOW whatta circus that place is. It is a dental spa that will scam you and YOU WILL pay the maximum if you use them. Go to a local, "mom and pop" type dentist, they are usually the best anyway. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

What happened that day at the River Edge office was not due to my lack of computer skills or age and I can now add to my review that the doctor is condescending and insulting. As for being a happy customer; Dr. Shaw (awesome dentist) who I used to see in the Wanaque office is no longer with the practice and I have never seen any of the other dentists there. I was only going back to Feiler since they had my dental records from the past visits to Dr. Shaw. I will also mention that I asked the receptionist to help me and she said that she couldn't leave the front desk. Not her fault. The office must have been under staffed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DENTIST AT ALL COSTS THEY ARE THIEVES AND HIGHLY UNETHICAL!!!! Back in May of 2013 I took my two children for their cleanings. After being recently divorced my kids were under their fathers dental benefits which he just had changed. Upon arriving at the dentist I asked if my kids cleaning would be covered under the new insurance I was assured they would. I emailed copies of the new insurance card to the office staff so they could have them on file. My kids had their cleanings and we left. 6 months later in November of 2013. I took my kids back for their next cleanings. I checked in and waited for my kids to be called in. They eventually were and about 5 minutes after my kids were taken in for their cleaning the office manager Wendy said she needed to speak with me. She informed me that they do not accept my insurance and that my kids visits from May had not been covered nor would that days visit. I immediately instructed the staff to have my kids cleaning stopped. I inquired why no one bothered to tell me that my insurance was not covering the visits until 6 months after the fact or why they waited until after my kids cleanings were started a second time, they had no explanation. They then said they did not even have copies of my insurance cards which was a lie because I still have a copy of the email I sent that first day in May. I stormed out and told them they would have to eat that bill because I'm not paying it. 6 months later I get a phone call from Wendy asking if I want a payment plan for the bill when I tried to remind her of how badly they screwed me over she conveniently had no recollection of the event. Seriously??? I have left multiple messages for Dr Feiler to bring all of this to his attention and I have had no response. Today 4 Year's later I open my mail to find I'm being sued for $500. This bill is not my responsibility and I surely will be fighting this in court. By law a provider must make the patient aware of the cost of the service beforehand and they did not do this. It is absolutely disgusting how they do business there. Do yourself a favor and find another dentist. read more

The WORST customer service ever. Dr. Feiler may be a good dentist but he does not have his office together. He runs LATE to every appointment. It dosent matter if it's an emergency or not. He told me he runs on "Feiler Time" with no apology. I believe my time is just as valuable as his. I scheduled an appointment to have a cleaning and an evaluation of my entire mouth. After he took a complete set of Xrays, I could not get an appointment for 6 weeks. I just received a call 4 days before the appointment and the estimate was not completed. The estimated bill was up to $59k. To my surprise, with an amount like that, I would liked to see it. I was told that it may have additional expenses added to it for any gum issues. I agreeded this had to be done. I still wanted to see what he had so far, so zi could ask him questions,about it during the appointment. However, Crystal would not release the estimate he had already completed. Crystal told me that she would have to check with the dentist for permission and she would call me back in 2 days. This would leave me with 2 days to look it over before my appointment. Also she informed me that my cleaning was not scheduled and could put me in at 11am. The cleaning was his idea. The office got that wrong also. This was the orginial time for my cleaning. I wonder how long I would have waited for this "put me in" appointment. I have NEVER seen a full estimate from his office. Its always missing something or incorrect from what they submit to the insurance company. I had a $125. credit on file that I found out about on my last visit. It was from last April. Why wasn't I refunded. Again, a badly run office. It is a shame that this can not be fixed. I find him to be a good dentist who needs to respect other people time and really understand that a $59k estimate needs to be looked by the patient so they can ask questions about their care. This is a lot of money for anyone. I now I waited 6 weeks for nothing and will have to find another dentist. I would be pretty upset if my bad staff lost $59k+ because of a bad office experience. read more

I am a regular patient of Dr. Feiler for more than four years and I absolutely love this place. All doctors, nurses and personnel are competent, professional and supper nice and pleasant. My Invisalign procedure made a huge difference for me personally and professionally. My initial service, for a sleep apnea appliance, was in 2014. I was treated by Dr. Helsin. Their manager, Wendy, was courteous. At the time, they asked for my insurance card, but ins did not cover the appliance or related visits. So, I PAID cash, for the appliance & follow up visits. This was agreed & honored. Mr. Helsin, the specialist is a pro, and good at what he does. But the billing staff & Dr. Feiler (apparently the owner) are NOT. Until this summer, YUP, two yrs later, Feiler Dental sends me an invoice for $800!. For 'past visits'. Want to have a laugh? they even submitted it to my (old) insurance. They were not upfront about this either, as I know they submitted cuz the ins contacted me. Sleezy business practice this Feiler Dental Assocs. Formal complaints have been filed, and this is going tb addressed legally. Ther's also the 'surprise bill' by govrnm't. BUT, save yourself some trouble. AVOID this place. read more

I've been going to Feiler Dental for several years. I have had all sorts or work done and never had an issue. Dr. Feiler is very knowledgeable and a creative solution he applied in one instance worked like a charm. It was a solution that actually saved my bridge and consequently a lot of money, so I just don't get any comments about greed. I think it's completely the opposite. I feel fortunate to have been brought to Feiler by following a Dentist who had moved from another practice. When that Dentist eventually left Feiler, I felt that I wanted to stay because the service was so good. The Dentists, Hygienists and office staff is all A-1 in my book. read more

Tried this dental office for my 2 children 2 years ago. Staff and hygienists are friendly. As for the dentists there is a revolving door of them. I could never get the same dentist as the good ones seemed to disappear. Also, several billing and insurance issues with them. I was told one dentist was in network but then they advised me much later and after the fact that she was out of network. I have switched my kids to my own dentist. Much happier. read more

Dr. Feiler is quite the perfectionist, and it shows in his work. The staff is always friendly and eager to please. I purchased a groupon for a cleaning and a zoom whitening at Feiler's dentistry. I go to the dentist every 6 months and have not had a cavity in years. I had the cleaning but all of a sudden I am told I have a small cavity and cannot use the whitening portion of the package until I spend another $500 on dental work! What a rip off. read more

Over the past 35 years I've lived in different regions of the U.S. and Europe and have been to many dental practices. I researched dentists in Northern NJ before going to Dr. Feiler because I planned to have cosmetic work done and hadn't done so previously. With another 10 years in the workforce, my smile was aging me and I chose Dr. Feiler based upon his credentials and more importantly the honest and experienced approach to the consultation. I'm very happy with the veneers and other work I've had done. Feiler Dental is the best run dental practice I've seen. The staff is terrific, friendly, and a genuinely happy group of employees. The practice is organized with great followup and offices that cater to the patient. I intend to stay with the practice for any dental needs and would recommend them above any dental practice in Northern NJ. I plan to have my daughter go to Dr. Feiler for veneers at some point later this year or early next year and would only do that if I was exceptionally confident in their services. Sadly I have to agree with the majority of the negative comments here. While I like my dentist there well enough, he is only there a very limited amount of time. I do believe I was conned into a VERY VERY VERY expensive plan, also not realizing that the practice itself was "participating" with my insurance, but that particuar dentist was not, so was able to charge whatever. That said, everyone I've spoken to cannot get over the money that I was charged for what I need done and it used to feel very uncomfortable to go there and seriously get the feeling that you were a blinking dollar sign to them. You get called in a "room" to discusss treatment and payment plans, prior to actually getting in the chair. And anything outside of your "plan" it's quickly addressed will be X amount extra dollars. I have really never been to dental office where I felt such money pressure before. They have almost $20,000 of my money and I definitely DO NOT have even close to that amount of work complete. I need to finish what was started, within this budget and run. I was warned about their practices when someone I know heard I went there but my trusted dentist referred me to a specialist who didn't even end up still being there when I went so I saw that person's replacement and I can't help but feel sort of scammed. If it wasn't for MOST of the office staff and the relationship I did develop with my dentist there, I would never ever have chosen them and did not move the rest of my family over to them either. I was very disappointed that things I heard came true. (I also had an emergency type situation on a weekend and the only concern was the mightly dollar - even after I told the dentist they already have almost $20,000 of my dollars...it didn't matter to him. Needless to say, I didn't go and I was so upset after the conversation. This is how you get treated when you spend that kind of money? It did a feel a tad used car salesman-like.
