He came from the top medical school in South Korea. He's extremely patient and explains everything to you. And, he does solid work. Let me tell you 2 personal stories about Dr. Hong and you'll get a better idea of who he is. 1. A lot of dentists (especially the younger ones but I find almost all do this) push for unnecessary treatment. It's so obnoxiously obvious how mercenary the industry has become. For example, I had used a Groupon once to get a cleaning and the dentist had said my teeth and gums were horrible. He wanted to do laser cleaning, a root canal, and 2 crowns on 2 molars that "could split any day now". They really try to scare the bejeezus out of you. The bill was going to be thousands of dollars. Dr. Hong took a look. I thought what he said was funny. He said that in a court of law, the other dentist wouldn't be wrong but in reality, the stuff was clearly unnecessary. I guess that's the purpose of a $20 Groupon? 2. Another incident. Dr. Hong is far from where I live. So, a few times, I had gone somewhere local for the sake of convenience. (Sorry, Dr. Hong.) 2 different dentists actually remarked that the work that Dr. Hong did was solid work. One actually criticized work done by different dentist done a long time ago but he complimented Dr. Hong's - said it was impressive because given the position of the teeth, it was really difficult and he would have just taken it out. For other dentists to endorse your work, that really means something in my book. Just to warn you, he's a little old school so, don't expect any fancy procedures. And his assistant who handles his calls speaks broken English but don't worry - Dr. Hong is perfectly fluent in English. You can also ask him about anything and he's totally fine with it. Most importantly, you don't have to worry that Dr. Hong will try to do unnecessary work. I literally trust him 100% that he'll do what's right. He's truly a good person.

I never spend my time writing reviews, but for this I just had to take the time and give credit where it's due. Once you visit, your fear of the dentist will be gone! I've never met such a nice group of people. The Denist was definitely an expert. He fixed the pain and saved my tooth. The assistant Rosie, made me feel so comfortable, as did the dentist, checking often that I was okay during the procedure. Knowing my comfort was their concern right off the bat was relieving, and I felt so relaxed the whole time. Let's not forget, The sweetest coordinator at the front desk who scheduled my appointment was sooo nice on the phone even after I rescheduled twice! She worked with me to find the right day and time and was very flexible with finding a spot for me even with my busy schedule. SO NICE! I will never fear, or put off going to the dentist again, and can happily say I have my own regular Denist now. Such nice people!! Thanks again you 3! :)

Dr Levine replaced a crown I had charged me $1000 out of pocket on top of insurance. About three weeks after the visit, I got a cist on my gums in the exact location of the crown. I went back to the dentist who took xrays and he could not find the cause of the infection. So he tells me that the 12 year old root canal must be the casue even though his xrays didn't show the infection up in the area where the root was workied on. So since he could not understand why I had an infection. He said I need to visit a specialist, well after some very painful surgery I was told the issue was the replacement crown was not set correctly and is what caused the infection. Upon speaking with the specialist it became very clear that the dentist sent me to him blaming the old root canal so he could wipe his hands with the issue. I had to pay another $600 out of pocket to clean up the shady work the dentist did. I tried calling and discussing this with Levine but he totally ignored my call mush like ignoring the fact he HIS WORK caused the infection. So please stay away and pick a more responsible dentist who takes responsibility for his work. I would give him Zero stars just for his total disregard for the truth.

What a HUGE mistake it was. There was extremely long wait, and there was also a miscommunication between the dentists (Dr. Marks and Dr. Olga who is an associate). While I was there only for the preventative routine, Dr. Marks came in and out of the office while cleaning my teeth. The cleaning itself was VERY ROUGH and aggressive without any care. The whole procedure took less than 3 minutes. I've visited many dentist offices, but never have I ever had this type of a unfair treatment. There are many fake reviews out there in Yelp these days, but please read this one review and be mindful whom you choose as your dentist, even for something simple as a dental cleaning!

When I finally found Dr. Dumanian, after one visit I knew I would be returning. She was not the first dentist to tell me I was grinding my teeth at night, but the first dentist who actually told me I needed a night guard. Because of her advice she literally saved my teeth! I have been lucky enough to not have many dental issues besides the grinding, but some people I have recommended to her have not been that lucky. A family member of mine saw doctor Dumanian for the first time after seeing a terrible dentist for decades, and she had to fix almost every single tooth in his mouth. He is now towards the end of his dental journey and could not be happier. She fixed what needed to be fixed, recommended him to some excellent specialists, and did some cosmetic work as well. He has perfect teeth now. In his words, she is a "perfectionist," which is exactly what you want in a dentist. The hygienist is also incredible. I personally never liked cleanings before she started cleaning my teeth because I'm used to pain, but she numbs you perfectly (no needles--don't worry just a gel) before she gets your mouth 100% clean. She also has an incredibly kind and gentle bedside manner, which is great for everyone but especially those people who tend to get nervous at the dentist. I always feel at ease in that office. Dr. Dumanian and her staff are the most brilliant, professional and kind people I have ever had the honor of letting care for my mouth.
