I was referred to Jay Ann Intimates by insurance for a prosthetic nipple following a mastectomy. At the time, all they offered was off the shelf nipples. I had my heart set on a custom nipple to match my existing one, but they didn't even have an insurance code for it. Rejecting the off the shelf nipple left me despondent in tears feeling less than whole. Farrell and Susan saw my complete breakdown and guess what? They fought for me to get my custom nipple! This wasn't just a nipple, it made me feel whole again and not like an amputee. It was a part of my womanhood restored and is absolutely priceless to me! I cannot thank them enough for what they did for me! The insurance company dehumanized me, but Jay Ann restored it. My suggestion to ladies facing mastectomy is to get your molds and match up the colors before surgery if you are losing both nipples. If you are only losing one nipple, the molds can be made after surgery of the existing nipple. Good luck to all cancer survivors! I went for a fitting and worked with several saleswomen who tried to determine my size. I think inventory was low and they fitted me in a bra that was several cup sizes too large. (I was sold a DD and my real cup size is B). The explanation was that all bras fit differently. I trusted them and bought two $68 Natori bras. It was a while until I wore them due to covid and not going out. I realized that these bras were definitely wrong. I made an appointment to meet with owner Farrell and when I arrived she was nowhere around. I was told store policy is 7 days and they would be happy to sell me something new. I was having difficulty finding a nice comfortable, well fitting bra, so I thought, why not go to a specialty shop, so I went to Jay Ann Intimates. The first thing I was told was not to expect my bra's to be comfortable, you are supposed to feel your bra. That should have been my first clue. The other thing is, your salesperson runs in & out of your dressing room bringing you, what she thinks you would like, which I guess is personalized service but you are not allowed to go in the "bra room". You don't get to see the bra's that they sell, only the bra's that are brought to you. Very limited. I ended up spending just south of $300 for four bra's, two of each style. Sure, they all felt comfortable for the five minutes you have them on in the dressing room. They tell you to move around, sit down, stand up. I did all of that...for five minutes maybe. You can't tell anything in that amount of time! They felt comfortable...for five minutes! You only get 7 days to return and they must be unworn with the tags still on them. So I don't know how anyone is expected to really know how comfortable they are if you can't wear them! The two "everyday" bra's that cost me a little more then $70.00 each are just terrible!! Sure they look pretty but they both stab me under both arms in a big way, they are clearly too small even though I was told that they pride themselves on fitting they're customers in well fitting bra's! Not so much in mI have washed them, pulled them, tried bending the wires but to no avail. So I went back to Jay Ann Intimates and their remedy was to give me a $25 gift card! Do they think that I would really shop there again! NOT! So now I have two expensive, super uncomfortable but pretty bra's that I can do nothing with! I definitely do not recommend shopping there! read more

I was in the store again yesterday and was being fitted for another bra. I have to thank Susie for her help and patience with me! She did all she could to make my experience a positive one! As I was being fitted another customer was in the store with a young child, who unfortunately was throwing a temper tantrum in the other fitting room. After what seemed like forever, One of the team members politely asked the mom if she the could possibly go for a walk with the baby,outside to have her calm down. I've tried for years to find a bra that fit and was comfortable. The only thing I can say about that was what too me so long?! Made an appointment for a fitting. My consultant were Sue & Sam. Sue did a quick measure, asked what I was looking for and my preferences and came back with 3 bras. The one she initially suggested was the first I tried on. O. M. G. It fit perfectly and felt wonderful. Just for the fun of it, I tried on the other 2. Nothing compared to the first one. It was quick and painless. I am very impressed with this store! Fantastic selection and great employees. My friend had recently undergone a mastectomy and went there for her post-surgical bras and other mastectomy products, and she told me that I should go there to get the undergarments to wear under my wedding dress. I was skeptical because I had already been to so many places and couldn't find anything that worked and was in a panic. But I am so glad I took her advice!! I booked an appointment and the woman who helped me was wonderful-- very patient and thoughtful about finding the best bra/bustier and shape-wear (which is no easy task as it needed to be strapless and have a low back and I wear a size 36F). I absolutely loved my visit to Jay Ann Intimates. I'm currently breastfeeding and I could not find good quality bras anywhere. I googled a few places and found this one, and noticed it had good reviews. I was helped by Ahuva. She was so helpful and nice. I didn't feel embarrassed of self conscious trying on a variety of bras with her. I am a 42 G/H depending on the brand. I bought two everyday bras and a sexy bra. All three fit so nice and are very comfortable. After having a baby and dealing with a totally different body and breasts, it was refreshing to feel so comfortable bra shopping. The bras are expensive, especially the sexier ones, however Ahuva was upfront about the price. I feel it was well worth it for high quality bras. You really get what you pay for with a bra. They also have swimwear which I was interested in but I did not try on, mostly because the styles I felt were not for me and they were not bra sized. This is a slightly embarrassing review to write, but I'd like to get the word out there. Buying bras is always a trial. Most often, stores don't have my size. The one time that I even bothered going into Victoria's Secret, the girl there "measured me" and attempted to convince me that I could fit into a larger band size and smaller cup size than I really need, simply so I would make a purchase (by the way, the bras that she suggested looked and felt incredibly uncomfortable). And this is the reason why I travel all the way out to Huntington Valley when I need bras. The woman who works there on Wednesdays (I'm sorry I can't remember her name!) is incredibly nice and matter of fact--it's not embarrassing to get measured at all, and she tries a variety of styles and LISTENS to you, instead of insisting that you are a size you clearly are not simply so you will make a purchase. Also, she not only remembered me from the last time I was there (probably over a year ago), she remembered my size and had a few bra choices already in mind. Orders for things they've run out of aren't a problem, either, and can be ready in under a week. The lingerie can be a little pricey, but you are paying for great fitting and for comfort. She did a good job at measuring me, much better than those girls to at Victoria's Secret. She helped me find a bra that stayed up under my bridesmaid dress, but it was WAY overprice. It ended up costing me $80 for a bra that I've never worn again. If I hadn't been in dire need for the wedding, I definitely would not have bought it. I went here for a specific undergarment: a strapless pushup for my wedding dress. Since I'm .....top heavy, I've had some difficulty finding the right piece. Upon walking in the store, I was helped immediately. I explained what I was looking for and was soon measured and ushered right into the dressing room. The saleswoman brought in some pretty white items which fit nicely. I had to ask if they came in black since my dress is non-traditional. No problem! She switched them out immediately. I liked this because I didn't have to imagine them in a different color. Anyone could easily have said "it comes in black" but she had me try on the actual garment that I would be purchasing. That made a difference. I also had an impulse buy while there which was a sports bra. Yes, it was expensive but I honestly feel that it is worth every penny. I exercise regularly and ride a motorcycle so anything that keeps me in place like this bra does this is worth it. I'm going back for more at some point. I was in and out under half an hour. Very positive experience and this is one of those situations where you get what you pay for. read more

Very disappointed! Was swayed to purchase different items then I was looking for. Saleswoman was pushy and told me I could return the items if I was not satisfied. The items did not meet the standards she assured. When I attempted to return the items I was told I could only receive store credit. I was never told this but was encouraged to buy multiples of the same item. I was so disgusted and felt like the victim of a scam taking advantage of my situation. Just had a mastectomy and my Doctor advised me to go to this store for a prosthetic fitting. I thought things were going well and I relied on the "sales" person to assist me. I asked for a larger size than what she originally provided and she balked saying they would be too heavy. I really looked silly in an "A" cup since I had been a DD. I insisted on a larger size and with reluctance she gave me a "B" cup. However, after leaving the store I realized the bra and inserts she sold to me were definitely NOT correct. I had asked for a larger size and she talked me out of it with improper and poor reasoning. My "breasts" had their own weight and I look silly in a "B" cup. Worthless purchase. In my case it is Simone Pérèle and Jay Ann found this foundation for me. The saleswomen are experts, sizing up your size by sight and never wrong. They fit you, adjust you and get you the absolute right bra for whatever the occasion or size (there's MM). The dress has not been designed that Jay Ann can't find a foundation to go under without detection. It's just the best lingerie shop anywhere but we are lucky to have it in the 'burbs. read more
