Unfortunately, the Wedding Shoppe was by far the worst experience I had. From the moment I arrived, the level of unprofessionalism was shocking. I now understand and agree with many of the one-star reviews here. The sales staff were not only dismissive, but outright rude both in person and over the phone. During my appointment, the consultant repeatedly interrupted my mother while she was trying to ask simple questions about the dresses. When I expressed that I wanted a few moments to step back, talk with my mom, and think about a gown I genuinely loved, her demeanor shifted noticeably. Instead of being supportive during what should be a special and thoughtful decision, she became cold and visibly annoyed. What made the experience even worse was the condition of the salon itself. For a place that presents itself as high-end, the environment was incredibly disappointing, the space smelled musty, and the bathroom was unclean and poorly maintained. While the store carries beautiful gowns from reputable designers, the experience of purchasing one should match the quality of the product. Unfortunately, the way this salon treats its customers reflects poorly on those designers. I would strongly discourage anyone from booking an appointment here. Wedding dress shopping should feel exciting and special, this was anything but.

They acted like she was some kind of peasant, making endless comments about how pricey THESE dresses are, so maybe we should look at this rack instead? We had an appointment to look at bridesmaid dresses, and while we were perusing someone actually went up to my mother and asked, "Are you shopping, or just dreaming?" What a miserable person. You really would have thought we were on the set of Pretty Woman, not an upscale bridal shop. Just shameful. I never got the chance to give them a budget, but they immediately assumed we were shopping out of our league. I had been to the store before, I knew very well what to expect. Save yourself a miserable time and skip this shop. My mom and sister drove in from out of state to get some wedding planning done, they ruined what was supposed to be a nice day and made us all feel humiliated and judged. Note: I confronted our sales associate and another employee before we left about her awful treatment of my mother and their repeated insults. Nothing was done, no apology was offered. This wasn't one bad egg having a bad day, this is the accepted culture of that shop. Stay far away.

My mom, sister and I arrived when the store opened and the front of the store was chock full of boxes of shoes all over the front of the store waiting to be put away. Apparently the store received a shipment of new shoes. Our first interaction was not great. We were asked if it was our first time or if we had been there before-since it was our first time we were then commanded to take off our shoes and sit down and relax. Not in a very kind or welcoming way. I would've probably walked out but I was dependent on the car I came in. I felt like we were a nuisance initially. The experience got better and presumably the owner assisted my mom and gave her full service with shoe selection. The lady who assisted was definitely expert at making recommendations for what we needed. There was a young boy who was helping her who seemed like he did not want to be there- he didn't do much to assist in fitting us for shoes. He pretty much pulled out the boxes- the lady working with my mom was putting her shoes on for her- lacing them up- etc. I was not gifted full service. We three all got wonderful shoes that fit us well and were ultra comfortable. I scoped out the same brand on Amazon-for 1/2 price and purchased a backup shoe. I appreciated the knowledge the owner had and her suggestions were sound and right on target. I don't live in the area but I would likely go back if I was in the area and if I needed a comfortable pair of shoes.

I've purchased two pairs of running shoes from her and have had the opposite experience. I was a division one cross country runner in college and I know when someone doesn't know what they are talking about when it comes to running. Hillary definitely does know running well. While it may seem like you're spending a lot at one time, it's worth it. I've selected key pieces that I continue to wear for years. I used to spend the same amount over time with a wardrobe that I didn't really like. Now I've collected good quality jackets, dresses, and blouses that I wear over and over, year after year. I also get my standard black pants there, which really fit right. A wonderful shopping experience.

They proceeded to bring me gowns in the $700-$2,500 range, with sleeves and tried to squish me into dresses 2 sizes too small. It turns out that they never had anything in my size. The price point is very high considering that this building is very beat up from the outside and the inside is not much better. I was wearing sweats and sneakers and the staff gave me the once over from head to toe. It felt like the scene in Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts is pre-judged from her appearance. They take your information, go into the back and select styles for you. Their selection was very matronly. I could not get out of there fast enough.

Once I finish trying on the first couple dresses she told me to go look for more. The time is 350 and i am told that they close at 4. Right when we picked out all these dresses. So obviously we felt like we needed to leave so we did not try on all the dresses she told us to pic out. Then we go to leave and the door is locked and followed us to the door and locked it again. We also drove an hour and a half which they knew that. I am very disappointed with the way this situation went.

Upon entering for a scheduled appointment for my daughter's prom dress we were greeted with our sales consultant Casey, the immediate impression she exuded was one that she was not looking forward to . My daughter needed a larger size gown for which the consultant took her to the back room showed her where those gowns were and explained the process of picking dresses. Once the consultant received more clients she seemed overwhelmed and distracted. My daughter tried on a number of gowns one in particular that she started with she actually did not like and put away however at the end of the process she wanted to try this again on one more time just to make sure. In trying this dress on one more time she decided that she really liked it and asked if it came in a larger size she then proceeded to ask the owner if the dress came in a larger size once the owner came in and looked at my daughter she looked her up and down turned around and never acknowledged her again nor did she receive an answer as to whether the dress came in a larger size. During this whole visit the entire time we were there I was not impressed one bit. The owner was unwelcoming and seemed very judgmental of thse not fitting the "standard." The Consultants were not friendly nor accommodating. In my honest opinion I would never recommend this location for any young lady especially one that requires a larger size. And aside from needing a larger size I would still not recommend this establishment. I personally felt that we were looked at like we "weren't good enough" to be there. Golden Asp----Money has no size.....just remember that when you welcome your future clients.
