After jumping out of bed and running down the hall to avoid waking up the wife and kids I gave him a few details about my home and we arranged a time to come over the next evening (again, after hours to fit my schedule). After explaining his services in detail and providing an estimate on the spot we chose to go with Dr. Piper because: 1) We wanted copper, and he uses only the thicker type-L copper, not the thin cheap type-M copper you get at the big box stores. 2) He is the only plumber we found that patches their own drywall holes and textures them (quite flawlessly I might add - even the popcorn ceiling) 3) The expansion tank that others didn't even mention or want to charge extra for was included in the price. 4) Everything is installed per current plumbing code and he gets all required city inspections along the way. Everything is done on the up & up. 5) Dr. Piper's estimate was not the lowest or highest, but was very competitive for the services he's providing. As soon as I saw the first section of pipe meticulously routed through the ceiling joists I knew I had made the right choice.
