I've been coming to Jax's Car Wash for quite a while, and while the staff is always friendly and courteous, the wait times have become extremely frustrating. If you're getting your vehicle detailed, expect to wait at least 30 minutes--and often much longer. It frequently appears they're short-staffed, and unfortunately, that seems to be an ongoing issue. I've told myself several times that I was going to cancel my membership because of the excessive waits, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. The employees are not the problem--they're always pleasant and do their best. The real issue is the lack of staffing or an inefficient process. Something has to change. Whether it's hiring more employees or improving operations, the current wait times simply aren't acceptable, especially for loyal members. I really hope management addresses this because Jax's has the potential to be an excellent car wash, but the consistently long waits make it difficult to recommend to others. read more

Been going to this place for over a decade service is always great. Workers are always friendly and nine out of 10 times. The qualities are always great. Highly suggest getting their unlimited club with interior package. It really comes in handy when you're feeling like you need a touchup in your vehicle. read more

I just went to the Birminham location (again) and not only did many of the cleaner/brushes not work, but there was no soap. How can they expect for members to continue to pay? I then went to the Royal Oak location and still not everything was functioning. At least they had soap. As soon as my membership is done, I will choose another company. read more

Terrible service, rude, barely cleaned the car. Do not come here and i definitely will not be coming here

$21 a month membership for as many washes as you want, limited to once a day. Receipt says it's $13 for the exterior wash without the membership, that's expensive. Exterior wash is okay. read more

I purchased a 2 month discounted membership, and have been happy with it. The BHam location is right next to where I work, so I pop in once or twice per week. Last time D. Thomas handled my vehicle and everything was amazing. I'll likely be renewing the membership once the special purchase package has expired. read more

Update: 5/2023. Surprisingly, this place is still terrible. I left with bird poop all over my car. The interior detailing that I paid for meant nothing because there were stains all over the cup holder even after they "cleaned" it. I asked for a rag to do it myself and they kept telling me to turn around and go back through the line. I asked for the manager (Ryan) and he was just as careless asking me to turn back around even though it was a quick fix. I'll continue to avoid this location even though I live here in Birmingham. Such a shame! read more

No complaints with the wash. I always tip a few bucks to the individuals drying and wiping the car down. They are not very good. I end up having to do it myself afterwards. read more

Kevin H and team did great work! Always enjoy the Birmingham location on off hours as it gets you in and out quickly.

I would like to say that two wonderful young men, Kemonie and Decario we're cleaning the interior of my car today Saturday afternoon 05/18/24 when they came across a sizable amount of cash that had been dropped in between the seats. Kemonie did the honest thing and brought it to my attention. This shows how the Jax management is training their employees and it's a testament to honesty is the best policy. Really appreciate this type of honesty. These guys are going to succeed at whatever they do in life. Blair M read more

I have had the Full Service membership since 2008 and had always been happy, but this week I am ecstatic with the customer service at Jax. They lost one of the OEM mats for my car in December. They looked at cameras but couldn't find it. Ryan told me to replace it...but Toyota only sells a set of 4. No problem for Jax. They reimbursed the whole cost. They always do the right thing. read more

John Always does the best job detailing my car! I am a return customer solely based on the service John provides! I won't go anywhere else.

The service here has gotten so bad with the new owners. Not enough people working. Long waits, even when it's not crowded. And the quality is terrible. They never completely clean the car. I'm so disappointed. read more

I should have listened to all the other negative reviews before going anyway today, but my interior was in serious need and this location is very close to my work. I paid $20 for the full service wash and gave a nice tip which I immediately regretted once I started driving away. They left my floor seats with salt stains from the winter completely untouched. And the most offensive, my front seat was as dirty as when I brought it in. My dog sits up front sometimes, and there were very visible dirt marks from his paws. They did not clean them whatsoever, and I have leather so it would've been a simple task. There's a reason why I was so desperate for a cleaning - my seats. And the fact that they weren't even touched is beyond my understanding. I uploaded a picture. Bottom line, it was a very half-assed job and I will not be visiting this location in the future. read more

Jax Car Wash is a fantastic business. I bought a used car that smelled strongly of air freshener. After a few days, I realized it was covering up cigarette smoke. Brandon, Chris, and Tyler are amazing! All three of these managers worked with me to try to get cigarette odor out of my car. They were quick to get my car in for detailing and worked with me to select the best cleaning treatments while making sure I was not paying for unnecessary treatments. Brandon especially went out of his way to help me. He was very thoughtful and professional. I am so grateful for his kindness and hard work. I definitely recommend Jax Car Wash! read more
