I wish I would have found MuttWorks sooner, I would list names but there are so many. When we took…read moreour 6-month-old (now almost a year old) German Shepard to them, he was very reactive, scared of going out to stores, the vet, or meeting new people... All of these were a nightmare for me (and him). Now we can go out to stores, do outdoor activities, and even with groups of people. I was so impressed with how they turned his training around that I have also taken his "sister" a 4-month-old German Shepard to have her trained as well (dropped her off for training at 12 weeks old to start her off right). I took 2 handfuls (fur babies) in and got 2 very well-behaved best friends back. After 6 months we are now in protection training, and it is going great. The classes are very informative and, most importantly, fun because let's be honest, if you're not having fun then your pet is not having fun and now, you're not going to classes. Everybody I have interacted with at MuttWorks has been very professional, friendly and more importantly, THEY LOVE AND TREAT EVERY SINGLE DOG THEY TRAIN LIKE THEIR OWN.

It has taken me awhile to decide to leave a review, however, I feel compelled to share my…read moreexperience. When we came to K9, we were very honest about our situation and the aggressive behavior our dog exhibits at times. We told them this was our last option with our dog, we had tried everything, as we loved and adored him. We had previously taken him to a board and train program which was unsuccessful, we had visited with our vet for other options, consulted every husky forum Google could provide, as well as watch every YouTube training video. K9 promised us the world; he would return home a new, obedient dog. They seemed like honest, trustworthy people and so we signed on the dotted line. Additionally, K9 knew it was a major hardship for us to afford the training, as I had just been laid off from my job due to COVID. For the great bargain of $3,500 we agreed to the 6 week board and train program. Furthermore, upon dog pick-up day, K9 told us our dog had to have the bed and food bob-it toy they sold; that he loved both of those two items. What did we do? We bought it, of course. His bed was out for 7 months and he never once got on it. As for the bob-it toy he had to have, he'd rather not eat than have to interact with it. He came home a different dog alright, but more aggressive and mean than he ever was prior to training. We stayed in constant communication with K9 pre, during, and post training. We followed up and followed the "rules", to no avail. Eventually, K9 came to our home for one of the follow up training sessions and they took him in for 1.5 days, neither of which were helpful. They often told us he didn't exhibit the aggressive behavior with them, although we saw otherwise every time we were there. All in all, nothing they told us was true - from the major things to the very minor. I don't write this review to harm their business, but I do write it to share my truth and hope it can help other people in similar situations. The final outcome for us: After $5,000 in dog trainings, doggy daycare, getting him neutered, and buying every possible type of chew toy, we had to make the difficult decision to surrender him to a husky rescue mission as we couldn't take the attacks anymore. I sincerely hope no one else ends up in this situation.

Beware!!!! We made the mistake of putting a deposit down with Guardian Angels K9 Training. In less…read morethan 24 hours we called and explained that we made an emotional decision and we wanted to cancel our training. One of the owners Christina refused us a refund. My husband spent over half an hour on the phone trying to get our $1700 back. She first said she had to talk to her business partner. Then she said she would have him call us on Tuesday. We never received a phone call. We called multiple times, left several text messages and emails to both owners with 0 response. These people have no conscious when it comes to not providing service and keeping your money. That is stealing. There are no other words to describe this way of running a business. I also wonder how you train and board dogs when there is no one ever at this abandon building and it's always closed. Don't make the same mistake I did trusting these people with your money or fur baby.

We purchased a Central Asian Ovcharka from Gary. He was 5 months old when we bought him (Odin). The…read morestory we were told is that they had kept him back for possible breeding stock and then decided not to keep him. Within the first few days of having Odin we noticed a strange limp. We immediately told Gary and that we were going to have our vet evaluate. We spent $750 on vet appointments and X-rays to be told that Odin has extreme hip dysplasia and it would only be a matter of time before he couldn't walk based on his expected size. We were referee to a top surgeon in Texas who reviewed the X-rays and confirmed that outside of a total hip replacement ($10k per hip), which they couldn't guarantee would work on a dog of this size, there was nothing that could be done for him. We were heartbroken. Despite providing Gary all details from our vet, he insisted that he was going to get an opinion from his own vet as if he didn't believe what 3 vets had told us. We returned Odin to him. He then told us that after his vet review that not only were his hips an issue, but his elbows as well. We asked for our money back. Since then, we've been given numerous statements. We were told there is no health guarantee. There is a difference between a health issue developing later in life and someone selling you a dog that has an existing hip issue. We were then told that he would replace the dog. We told Gary we did not want a dog from the same bloodline as our vet indicated it is a genetic defect. Gary then told us that he would offer us a different breed of dog, but we would have to pay the difference. We told him we weren't interested in a different breed and again asked for a refund. Gary is now ignoring all communications and we are being forced to turn this over to our attorney. I assure you that there are great breeders out there who would do the right thing in a situation like this. Instead, Gary has decided to turn a heart breaking situation for us into a bigger pain. I hope sharing our experience will prevent others from ending up in this situation with this breeder.
