It has taken me awhile to decide to leave a review, however, I feel compelled to share my experience. When we came to K9, we were very honest about our situation and the aggressive behavior our dog exhibits at times. We told them this was our last option with our dog, we had tried everything, as we loved and adored him. We had previously taken him to a board and train program which was unsuccessful, we had visited with our vet for other options, consulted every husky forum Google could provide, as well as watch every YouTube training video. K9 promised us the world; he would return home a new, obedient dog. They seemed like honest, trustworthy people and so we signed on the dotted line. Additionally, K9 knew it was a major hardship for us to afford the training, as I had just been laid off from my job due to COVID. For the great bargain of $3,500 we agreed to the 6 week board and train program. Furthermore, upon dog pick-up day, K9 told us our dog had to have the bed and food bob-it toy they sold; that he loved both of those two items. What did we do? We bought it, of course. His bed was out for 7 months and he never once got on it. As for the bob-it toy he had to have, he'd rather not eat than have to interact with it. He came home a different dog alright, but more aggressive and mean than he ever was prior to training. We stayed in constant communication with K9 pre, during, and post training. We followed up and followed the "rules", to no avail. Eventually, K9 came to our home for one of the follow up training sessions and they took him in for 1.5 days, neither of which were helpful. They often told us he didn't exhibit the aggressive behavior with them, although we saw otherwise every time we were there. All in all, nothing they told us was true - from the major things to the very minor. I don't write this review to harm their business, but I do write it to share my truth and hope it can help other people in similar situations. The final outcome for us: After $5,000 in dog trainings, doggy daycare, getting him neutered, and buying every possible type of chew toy, we had to make the difficult decision to surrender him to a husky rescue mission as we couldn't take the attacks anymore. Beware!!!! We made the mistake of putting a deposit down with Guardian Angels K9 Training. In less than 24 hours we called and explained that we made an emotional decision and we wanted to cancel our training. One of the owners Christina refused us a refund. My husband spent over half an hour on the phone trying to get our $1700 back. She first said she had to talk to her business partner. Then she said she would have him call us on Tuesday. We never received a phone call. We called multiple times, left several text messages and emails to both owners with 0 response. These people have no conscious when it comes to not providing service and keeping your money. That is stealing. There are no other words to describe this way of running a business. I also wonder how you train and board dogs when there is no one ever at this abandon building and it's always closed.
