This caused the gear oil to leak over my driveway. According to the dealer this is a standard practice to always use washers on all plugs on the lower unit. When asked to come back and fix the job despite paying him an additional 100 dollars. He refused. I would not recommend this mechanic on an outboard.

I cannot begin to describe the level of anger and disappointment in this company, particularly in…read morethe owner Daniel. Kompletely Kustom gave us a a very low initial quote which is why we went with him and they looked good on paper. Well it was to good to be true and we were charged $15,000 more than what was originally quoted, and he wasn't even able to do over half of the work that was originally agreed upon!  We later had to get other companies to fix items that were quoted by Daniel as well as to fix the major screwups he left us. Furthermore Daniel (the owner) ruined our helm area prying with a screwdriver rather than removing it properly like a subsequent company did and he dropped hydraulic fluid in our stateroom ceiling without even a bucket or towel to catch the fluid from the part he was removing! I spent 2 weeks cleaning up the mess! Even more he acted like it wasn't a big deal while his workers scrambled to clean it up using our shop towels and rags! He offered to rip out the ceiling the next day when I sent pictures of the damage to reupholster it, but by then we were terrified he would mess even more things up and we may never get our ceiling panel back, let alone done properly.   He requires direct access to your credit card which he bills relentlessly even after I told him there was no more money in the budget for repairs (he was 15k over) forcing me to cancel our credit card. He also tried to bill us twice for the water heater they failed to commission properly, as well as for the time while he was ruining our ceiling. If you have anyfurther doubt, we were even offered a discount not to post a negative review about this which makes you wonder how many others took that discount and that's why he has decent ratings.  Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company there'sa KompletelyKustomprice that you won't know about. . There are many other reputable companies out there that do business properly and they didn't even know his company name! Regrettably, we learned our lesson and now know that there are rules and regulations that he was in violation of.

We used KK to do several repairs on our boat. The engines needed some repairs and both vacu toilets…read moreneeded repair. After spending 6,700 on both engines, they still don't run properly. The Port engine has failed and there is a hole in the exhaust manifold that we paid for repair. Neither toilet flushes after spending 4,075.00 to repair and replace foot valves, seals, vacuum generator for waste system, etc. The salon compartment was left filthy. Stains all over the carpet and our couch was still on its side in the kitchen area. This was at the "completion" of the year long work that KK did. The boat died after it was launched and we had to have it towed to our slip. Dan the owner retaliates with paragraph long rebuttals to any negative review and turns it back on the customer. We paid a butt ton of money for shoddy work, a boat that is a waterfront condo and toilets that still don't flush after spending 4,000. Just run! Do not use these people!! I truly believe they have no clue what they are doing.
