He cleaned off the glue and sewed the isinglass onto the canvas, as shown in pic below. It looks perfect and will last unlike the glue! M&M Boat Sales and Service is no longer based out of Middle River and are now based in Pasedena MD. Art went out of his way to pick up the Isinglass and deliver back to us in just one week. Perhaps I caught him at a bad time in life, but my take away is that Kevin absolutely has a very…read moredeep technical background, but perhaps very underdeveloped interpersonal skills. In an industry marked by interesting personalities and attitudes, my interactions with him set a benchmark. He is indeed very responsive, but refused to talk by phone forcing a constant back and forth over email to my chagrin. Over email he constantly touted his technical background, inquiring about my career and experience almost as a challenge of some sort, and kept bringing up his own boat for sale in the most random manner. Ultimately when I tried to return the conversation to the pertinent and ask questions about the work at hand he became extremely obnoxious. If you've worked in technical fields you have probably experienced situations where you hid the engineers from the customer, and this reminded me of why that happens at times. I'm thankful that I found other local resources that were more than knowledgeable enough but with more communication and service skills, and have already completed several larger jobs on my boat without Mallard. I admire Kevin's deep technical skillset and hope that he can develop his interpersonal skills more.

He even worked on a weekend as the situation was an emergency. He's extremely knowledgeable and persistent; worked until the issue was resolved. A rarity among mechanics and electronics technicians, Chris has a passion for the technical stuff and loves the challenge. He comped me a few hours work when he was troubleshooting as we went down a few false paths in the process of elimination.
