For some odd reason I was refilling my coolant every day and upon coming out from O'reillys, I noticed a puddle of coolant. I checked underneath the car and there was definitely a leak, dripping out liquid at a pretty fast pace. The strange thing was that the leak wasn't coming from the area of the coolant reservoir or the radiator. I called Javier and luckily, he was one of the few auto shops open on Labor Day. I dropped off my vehicle and he diagnosed that it's the water pump/timing belt. Javier showed me where the leak was coming from and provided me with a fair quote for the replacement. I have gone to this auto repair shop for my Honda for more than ten years ever since it was still being run by Javier Sr. and now by his son who both have been excellent and most importantly trustworthy in the maintenance, service and repair of my car. Two years ago I went to have my brakes done again and Javier told me I didn't need to have both front and rear and he told me I only needed to have one set done though I wouldn't have known. Most of us know it is difficult to find an honest mechanic, especially when you are a woman. My car failed the required smog so I looked around and decided to bring if here. Javier ran a full diagnostic and repaired the problem. I then took it for tires and an alignment to another place (only bc he no doesn't run this test) and was told that I needed ball joints that I was at risk of my tires falling off. Javier checked them for me and stated they are barely starting to show wear, yes eventually they will need attention, but I do have more time then I was led to believe. He easily could have went along with what I was told at the other place but because he is honest he didn't. I now have a van that is up for smog and in need of repair. I have brought it back to Javier. I had taken my van to the dealership for an oil change and was told I need to look at a few other things like flushing my fluids and getting my cv boot replaced.
