Just a shoutout to Mike ... we bought an oval table and eight chairs four years ago, and they've been a great addition to our outdoor living space. The chairs, however, have had a couple of issues -- cracking at the joints and, in one case, a complete failure. Mike switched out that chair for us a couple of years ago, but we recently had three more with similar problems suggesting they, too, were going to fail. I reached out to Mike and asked if we could switch out the chairs altogether. I didn't expect to get eight new chairs for free -- the chairs are four years old, after all -- but I hoped we'd get some consideration. Not only, this store has great, high quality teak furniture, but customer service is just AWESOME. I bought some very nice teak chairs around five years ago, and after some years, had some issues with some bolts breaking. I tried to buy some new ones in some hardware stores in San Francisco but was not successful as those bolts are very specific. I contacted Mike to know where I could buy those bolts and without me asking and with no hesitation he sent me FOR FREE a full pack of new bolts! Very nice. I had a problem with one of the 8 chairs we bought with a table from Javateak several years ago. They without question replaced the chair. They also made arrangements to meat me with an exchange the chair. I live in Sonoma county and they are located in Newark which made it hard to have our schedules meet where I could get there. I had the good fortune to stop in at Java Teak and meet Mike (the Owner) today. THIS GUY IS SOLID AND SO IS HIS PRODUCT. I've purchased several teak sets in Hawaii over the years, with one notable disaster (of course, not from Java)--low quality wood and junk hardware has been a nightmare. I'm using the several thousand dollars worth fo furniture for firewood on the beach now....don't repeat my mistake, you'll regret it for a long time. Java has TERRIFIC QUALITY from what i could see, and I'm a good judge of that with my experience....plus, Mike is a great guy--honest, straightforward and helpful. We needed a teak deep seating set to go around our new gas fire pit. I looked around a bit and found an ad for Java Teak that had what I was looking for at a great price. After meeting the owner, Mike, and seeing the quality of his furniture - we picked up the set we wanted and he sent us on our way with loaner cushions while we waited a couple weeks for the cushions mike ordered for us in the color we wanted. I had previously bought another Teak patio set from another vendor and paid more for lower quality furniture. Bottom line - Mike is an honest business guy who is responsive and sells top grade teak furniture with top of the line Sunbrella cushions that last at a great price. My wife had been looking for a teak dining table for the backyard for some time. Finally she saw an ad from Java Teak with some great pricing so we inquired. When we called it was a 1/2 hour past closing time but Mike (the owner) picked up the phone and said he would stay until we got there. Who does that these days?! Immediately you could tell the quality of the product and that Mike knows his stuff. Not only did we buy a 10 seat dining table and chairs we also bought a 4 piece lounge set to go by the pool as well. Mike then worked with us on the delivery and ordering the cushions for the chairs. He loaned us all the cushions until the ones we ordered came in which was very nice. Each time he drove to our house here in Danville to drop everything off. I live in San Diego and could not find the style, Grad A quality and acceptable price locally or via on line merchants. I found what I wanted on line at Java Teak in Northern CA. I purchased a sofa, 2 chairs, ottoman, coffee table, end table and bench over the phone and Mike brought the furniture to us where we picked it up at a mutally agreed location in southern CA when he came on vacation! No charge for the delivery. The cushions are American made (here in southern CA) and are custom, Sunbrella....Excellent quality and service throughout the process and Mike really stepped up to help us out.
