ONTO THE COFFEE First up ~ Banana pancake cold brew, with no cinnamon sprinkle on top (per my request) ~ 5.5/10 - The Cold brew itself has a great strong flavor. However there is no flavor beyond that. I did read their menu online prior to ordering and that definitely adds to my disappointment. The described maple and banana notes that the coffee "should" have are missing completely. They make a lot of their specialty syrups and flavors homemade which had me really excited, so I was quickly bummed to taste absolutely none of it. Next up ~ Black Cold brew with Vanilla ~ 7/10 - Simple, basic and what you expect. Not much to add here. Lastly, The FOOD ~ We ordered the Turkey bacon, double egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant. ~ 7.5/10 - The sandwich was good! I wouldn't order this again unless I was in a rush. The turkey bacon a little bit sweet and that was great. The Croissant was toasted well, however we were let down by the egg, it seemed to be baked? As if they cooked up a large egg bake for these specifically. Which personally, I wasn't expecting or a fan of. The Spongey texture was really a miss. I do think a bit of salt and pepper would've improved this overall. -

On this crisp, sunny Saturday morning we decided to go on a local explore…read more We had thirst for a craft coffee and small breakfast. So we ventured for the first time to Brakeman's Cafe. A sweet scene across the street from the Colebrookdale Rail, we sat outside and enjoyed the quiet view. My husband ordered an Iced Caramel Fluff Coffee and my being on a chai kick lately, tried their small hot variety. Drinks came out quickly considering the line of patrons ordering and most of the indoor seating full. We sat with our number at a table outside. The brisk air was delightful and even more delightful was the rest of our breakfast. My husband ordered an Everything Bagel Sandwich with Cheddar and Sausage. He enjoyed it, said it needed some spice or sauce though. I was delighted in my pick! An Everything Bagel with the lemon-dill cream cheese. This cream cheese should be sold on its own! I'd purchase (or would love to steal the recipe!). The cream cheese was more a like a dip in consistency. Smooth, flavorful and light. This was inspo for me to try to make later and put on bagels, sandwiches and crackers (still thinking about eating it, lololol). What a wonderful start to the weekend! A local gem in Brakeman's!!
