My family and I just recently moved to the area and I've been saying how the town needs a drive thru coffee 'joint' that's NOT Dunkin! I 100% wish this was the place, but anytime I'm in the area I will definitely stop by. The ladies were very kind, thankful, and fast. I used to love this place. Service was typically friendly but if you caught them on a bad day, you could certainly tell. I would stop every Friday as a treat before work. Every Friday I would bring my own cup to fill instead of wasting plastic. All was fine until suddenly one morning I was given my cup back with a snarky response of "we don't accept competitors cups" (it was a Starbucks cup) I had explained that it was never a problem before and that I didn't want to waste the plastic. I was then laughed at and said I could just pour it in myself if I wanted to use the cup so badly and that it was always "policy" to never use competitor cups. It is sad that a small shop will go to being rude when simply putting a drink into a non-labeled "competitor cup". read more

This place is the absolute coolest. On my way from my parents home in Morgantown PA to my employment in New York, I stop at least twice for coffee. However, today I chose to drive a different route hoping to make the drive better. What I found was that I needed coffee. Good coffee. I pulled over and searched for a place nearby. Java Joint was the closest and I zoomed off in search for it. When I found it - I realized it was only a little thing. You drive up to the windows! With full menus posted outside, lattes, cappuccinos, coffees iced and hot alike it will have exactly what you want with a price that will make you want to order double. Pulling up to the window I expressed my excitement to the baristas. Expecting to freak them out by my attitude, they seemed surprised at my Monday morning mood and were super pleasant and explained to me how the drive up process worked. I asked if they have milk substitutes and they do - both almond and soy. At last! I ordered the surprise almond milk latte. Under the $5 card minimum I asked for a muffin as well. It took some time to explain all the different flavors but I was impressed at the variety. I pulled away happy, sipping on a peanut butter latte and a chocolate chip muffin. All delicious. Wallet happy. Satisfied. I will be back. With more surprises of course. read more

The service was fast and friendly. The latte was just so-so. The espresso shots were sour and the Milk tasted as though it had been steamed too many times. Even though I asked for it at 140-150 degrees, it was undrinkably hot. Come on folks, I wanna support independents - but you've gotta be competitive in quality. read more

Wow! The owner Betty is so sweet and will really help you with whatever your order is! My husband stopped by first and I quickly followed for my first visit. It's clean and so cute, right off Hamilton and Trexlertown rd. The specialty coffee currently is the Cinco De Mayo and while I didn't try it, I just think that's such a fun thing for new clientele and old alike. There is a $5 minimum purchase for credit cards but you can pay cash and not worry. The best part of this place and the reason it's a 5 star and not 4 is simply because the personal touch! I have been going to this place for years and the owner recognizes me. I went with my sister this morning and ordered two coffees with sugar free syrup. They were both way too sweet...obviously having too much syrup in them. We politely told the owner and she proceeded to huff and puff annoyed and then charged us for two more coffees! We were both so shocked and too nice to argue, but I will NEVER be back to this place. I wish someone would burn the shack down after such bad service and horrible attitude from the owner! read more

When I drive through the Java Joint and have a nice morning conversation with the ladies there, I truly feel better about my day. Lately I have been partial to the almond bark latte, I just can't get away from it! The product here is quality. The service here is first class.
